Look, to run for Prez, you gotta keep them «pearly whites» in good shape– even if you are just running for Dog Catcher (or Harbor District). So I come here for top-​notch care in a comfortable, friendly setting.
Dr. Pascal is the Best… but he is retiring. So imagine my surprise to meet his protégé– Dr. Diana Dizik, an accomplished Dentist in her own right, most recently practicing in Pacifica for the past several years. But now here in San Mateo.
Dr. Dizik did a painless, thorough exam and cleaning. She discovered a small cavity that will need repair. She is professional and has a very calming manner. She hums along to the faint music playing. She loves being a Dentist obviously.
Now… back to me… I have a history with Czechs (Ivana) and Slovaks (Melania), so when I heard a faint accent (and it’s faint), I asked– Dr. Dizik spent her childhood in Russia! After 20+ years here, she’s an American now (phew, I don’t want some reporter asking about my Dentist).
So, make haste and make Dr. Dizik your San Mateo Dentist… and make America great!

Office is well equipped and clean, staff is pleasant and doctor has years of experience. Unfortunately Dr. Pascal is not that precise when repairing teeth which is of critical importance for long term tooth health. I had work done on couple of teeth and had follow-​up issues with most of them after that — including endo work afterward.

I have been sick and on disability for a very long time. This doesn’t leave extra money for tending to my teeth, so when I saw a coupon for first time patients from Charles W Pascal, DDS I jumped on it.
Nancy did my teeth cleaning, poor thing! I was really rushed and a bit late (bad directions on my part), so when I sad down I was nervous and a bit upset. I have a really intense medical background so when she began asking me about my surgeries, diseases and medicines it took forever and she wasn’t really familiar so I had to spell everything and the list is quite long. She, in NO way, should know about anything about what I was saying. It was just tedious for us both. Nancy stayed patient (?) and professional through out this process. However, it took so long that she was unable to give me a complete exam. So that was bad. However the cleaning she did so was thorough, although probably not as thorough as it could have been. A bit irritating because I know what’s important for her to know. I had a hip replacement and did my premed and I’m on blood thinners, I informed her of both and that’s probably all she really needed to know.
Next was X-​rays and the person who did this (sorry, I can’t remember her name) was very nice and cheerful. She took the X-​rays as quickly as possible and did her job well.
Next I saw a very young Dr. Joy. The very nice girl who took my X-​rays was really on top of things, as she stayed during my exam to take notes. I had a problem with one tooth and I’m flying in 2 weeks so I really want to be sure there was no decay there. I’ve been in an airplane and as soon as that cabin is pressurized OUCH! Since I’m on blood thinners I can’t use Advil, the fix all for this type of pain. She took an additional X-​ray for me just to be sure which I thought was very nice.
The goody bag they give you is amazing! I mentioned I use Sensodyne and Nancy added a tube of that to the already generous bag. I take a lot of medication so Nancy really talked about how dry mouth can hurt your mouth and gave me some samples of Biotene.
Over all it was a very good visit. I would highly recommend Charles W Pascal, DDS, although he didn’t work on my teeth. I have several crowns and 5 root canals. I’m basing my rating on a simple cleaning and exam. The office is great and yes Kathleen is extremely kind and professional.

I have been a patient of Dr. Pascal since the late 1980’s and I have only THE best things to say about him. He is an expert in his field of dentistry, is warm and compassionate, and responsive to the needs of his patients. Kathleen, his office manager, is upbeat and professional, and his long time assistant Kathy, well, I can’t speak highly enough of her. Dr. Pascal will keep your budget in mind when offering treatment options (not everyone has insurance) while at the same time providing top notch care. 5 Stars.

Dr. Pascal is an excellent dentist and his staff is friendly, professional and caring. I’ve never felt any pain or discomfort. The office is clean and pleasant. I would highly recommend Dr. Pascal’s service!

My overall experienced with Dr. Charles Pascal Dental office was truly unbeatable. I’ve been a patient for almost 7 years now. Whenever I scheduled for any types of appointment, I’m confident that I receive the highest professional dental care. The Staff members are highly professional, using techniques to make your visit a pleasant one. The atmosphere settings and the Spa Dentistry will make you feel comfortable. The Practice Manager (who works at the front desk) she’s friendly and will greet you with a smile and has a positive demeanor. Recently, I just had my deep cleaning treatment and I must say it was again pain free experienced and the hygienist was very thorough with her procedures. If you seek the best, then I highly recommend Dr Charles Pascal Dental Office.

We’ve been going to Dr. Pascal’s for about three years now and have always found he and his staff to be professional, caring, thorough, and more than friendly. The front office staff, Kathy especially, is so nice and calls us to remind us of our cleanings. Billing is always crystal clear with no surprises. Cleanings have been easy and even procedures have been much more tolerable than expected. I do have one experience that I consider worth sharing.
On one particular occasion, Dr. Pascal used a UV instrument to examine my gums, tongue, and lips for any sign of sun cancer or other maladys. Actually this has been a pretty regular exam at my cleanings. This time he observed a miniscule abnormaility on my tongue and had me return within a week to recheck. The spot was still there a week later so he referred me out to a colleague for a closer look and 2^nd opinion. As well, this individual had some specialized experience in this aspect of dentistry. Ultimately it turned out to be a false alarm and the «abnormaility» was a false alarm. Nonetheless, I was very impressed with how thorough Dr. Pascal handled the situation. He never alarmed me but still did everything by the numbers to make sure I was ok.
The office setting is relaxing with TV/​cable/​radio, of course, for those longer visits. He always explains why there is a need for a service and, imho, is the funniest dentist I have visited. I’m not taking Eddie Murphy stand-​up, but appropriate and measured. He’s an excellent conversationalist and an even better dentist. Keep up the great work guys and see ya next month for a cleaning.

Providing excellent customer service is the ability to constantly and consistently exceeds customer expectations. This is what your dental clinic is all about. Dr. Pascal and your staff are all friendly and very professional; the lobby is clean and presentable as well. The way you catered to a customer is way beyond any expectation.

Absolutely the best Dentist! Had to have a Root Canal, the worst part was driving to his office, had no pain! This guy really knows his stuff.

I’ll begin with saying that I am extremely fearful of dentists. I’ve done a lot of dentist hopping over the years in hopes of finding an office that can accommodate my fears in a professional and patient way. Dr. Pascal’s office is exactly what I’ve been looking for. I’ve had a ton of dental work in the past. I’ve still got a ways to go and I’m actually looking forward to getting it all done with Dr. Pascal and his staff.
I had an appointment today for a regular cleaning. My hygienist, Mina, was the nicest, most knowledgeable hygienist I have ever encountered. She was thorough and answered every question I had without hesitation. She also offered me very helpful advice regarding my specific dental needs. Mina was very sweet and accommodating when I advised her of my dentist anxiety.
Dr. Pascal has wonderful bedside manner. He is approachable and very easy to talk with. I feel confident that he will provide me with the very best dental care.
Today was my third appointment with Dr. Pascal’s office. I’ve had two cleanings and I also went here for the Zoom teeth whitening. I was a bit apprehensive to do the Zoom whitening because I’ve heard some horror stories about some offices applying the product incorrectly but I had absolutely no problems with the Zoom application here. They were extremely careful and did everything by the book. They constantly checked on me to make sure I was comfortable during the whitening process and my teeth were noticeably whiter after wards. It has been almost a year since the Zoom and my teeth are still noticeably whiter.
The front desk staff has always been a pleasure to work with. Overall, Dr. Pascal provides a relaxed environment. I am so relieved to have found an office that fits my needs. My husband also sees Dr. Pascal and has no complaints!

Dr. Pascal is a great guy and an excellent dentist. I’ve been meaning to update this and comment specifically on Dr. Pascal’s hygenticist, Ildiko, who is just lovely and really tries to make teeth cleaning a tolerable experience.
