If you find yourself reading Enara’s review, then you were me about 3 months ago. You’re researching to see if Dr. Bailony and his team can really help you. Is it worth your time? Yes. Is it doable? Absolutely. Is it affordable if insurance doesn’t cover it? Indeed it is!
I did bloodwork back in November and the results were not good. Cholesterol and glucose levels were high. My primary doctor said I needed to start meds if I couldn’t lower my cholesterol. I have been here before, but even exercising 6x/​week the pattern wasn’t changing. I knew I needed help with my diet and what I was eating. I needed real support from a live person… not a Google search with a plethora of articles.
Upon research, I found Enara. Dr. Bailony has been a great help! I am so glad that I found Enara. It is an insightful experience. He will help with meal plans AND SO MUCH MORE. You will get educated on what is really going on in your body. How is he different from your primary doctor? He knows a lot more in depth what is going on in your body and what causes different things to happen (ie: high cholesterol, why you are always hungry). Because of his knowlege, he is able to prescribe what is best for YOU!
Results. 6 weeks into working with Dr. Bailony I lost about 9lbs. My good cholesterol went up 14.2%, my bad cholesterol improved by 20%, my triglycerides dropped 72.8%, and my overall cholesterol dropped 23.1%. I am just a few points shy of being in the normal range. My glucose also dropped a little putting me in normal range. This was all in 6 weeks!!!
It takes discipline and commitment. But completely doable. Dr. Bailony is super supportive and encouraging. He never rushes an appointment and listens to you and your needs. He makes no judgements. Most of my appointments have been online. The app is great, which is how we primarily communicate. The office is really nice too though.
Like I said earlier in my review, you are here because you are searching for some answers. I would recommend you at least have the initial consultation with Dr. Bailony. Then you can decide for yourself what you do from there. This is for your health… you only have one body and you only get one chance to live it right. Enara is definitely a step in the right direction!

I started on Dr. B’s program in Sept with a target weight that at the time seemed unreachable. 3 months later I’d lost 60 lbs and have been successful in managing my weight so far through the transition to long term sustainability. 3 things made the Enara program very achievable. 1) Dr. B is excellent in explaining the medical and nutritional science behind the program making it much easier for people like me to stick to it. 2) Emphasis on making healthy choices towards eating the healthy calories you need and avoiding empty calories. 3) Learning about what to eat and and what my body needs to remain strong and healthy.

I have always struggled to some extent with food and my weight. At one point of my life, I was able to reduce my weight significantly through proper eating and a fair amount of walking in lieu of driving. That said, in the decade that past since that successful change, I gradually put on weight increasing from 218lbs to 280lbs. With that weight gain came metabolic risks, joint pain, energy-​level decrease, etc.
Having read a series of articles about the success of diet programs — and in particular those that were physician-​lead, I was encouraged to find Enara Health.
After an initial consultation with Dr. Bailoney, we agreed that the «Best» course was to approach my journey toward better health via a VLCD program («Very Low Calorie Diet»). Dr. Bailoney informed me of the pros and cons, some of the clinical evidence associated with such diets, the risks, as well as conducted the appropriate tests (e.g. EKG, labs such as HgA1c) required to ensure that the program was «right» for me. He educated me on my condition, showed me how to use the digital tools (application for iOS) and discussed how to document my food choices and use the application for learning about blood sugar, metabolic syndromes, diabetes, etc.
The result has been that I am nearly through the VLCD and have dropped approximately 50lbs, returned to a «normal» range for my blood glucose and am well on my way to improving my health (and appearance).
The differentiator here has been 1.) The approach of the physician (i.e. not just telling you to «avoid white rice», 2.) The technology enablers that allow communication outside of appointments 3.) The education I have been given beyond what I ever knew on these topics (food choices, impact of fructose, glucose, processed foods, etc).
I really have been quite successful under Dr. Bailoney’s guidance –and definitely have made significant progress in a span of 3 months where I had failed consistently over the past decade.

Not only does Dr B have a great bedside manner (friendly and attentive to my concerns), he also makes himself available as much as reasonably possible through the use of technology.
