Groovy Juice sells American-​made vintage clothing from the mid 20^th century including 50s, 60s, and 70s and 80s. We also stock out-​of-​print sewing patterns, rare fabrics, and recycled one-​of-​a-​kind retro inspired gifts including vintage toys, housewares and records. Unique, hand-​crafted, and eco-​friendly, Groovy Juice helps musicians, actors, artists and the eccentrics of San Francisco with theme parties, burning man, carnival, How Weird Festival, basically anywhere standing out is considered normal. History

Established in 1996.

Founded by Lanajean V. to pay for college, Groovy Juice began on the Brown University campus as a repeating yard sale. It then expanded to occasional stands at art and wine festivals. Everybody said «you ought to open a store» and a friend with a failed dollar store gave her the remaining months of a lease to test her idea. Her storefront was so busy that after graduation from college, she moved to San Francisco hoping to open a vintage store on Haight Street. As fate would have it, dot com was exploding, and driving up storefront rents. Having just shipped 30 boxes of inventory across the country, she had to do something to move it. A 60s obsessed webmaster offered to help. Together they built Groovy Juice after their day jobs as a last resort. Little did they know they were creating a pioneering virtual vintage clothing store, one of the first of its kind on the world.
