Really awesome place if your just small time recycling or doing a big business regular thing. They pretty much take everything from glass, plastic, cans, metal and much more at very comparative prices around here, defiantly a place to go too

I brought in small metal items, including rusted pieces, and got $ 14.75. These prices aren’t reflected on their board, only the more popular materials. But I did get a receipt which shows 5 cents/lb for tin (steel) & I assume the brass is .80/lb and the most expensive copper at $ 2/lb.
Their tiny parking lot seemingly has space for three cars at most & was a bit hard to find on this day because of a large truck and many cars parked along the street. The staff, however, is cordial & helpful. When I shared my dread of backing out to leave, the front-window lady called one of the fellows to spot me, which helped a lot bc it can be a blind curve, especially if there’s a big truck blocking full sight of on-coming traffic.

Getting harder and harder these days to recycle electronic waste. Be warned, they do not take E-Waste or batteries. I was turned away with no friendly advise on where I could go. Learned that day that the Palo Alto recycling center is closed also…

I’ve been to numerous Recycling centers in the Bay area and they are usually run by one person stuck in a parking lot near some stores. The people usually have little or no social skills and always appear to be unhappy with what life has dealt them.
Enter J&D Recycling. Drive up and get a big hello from 1 — 3 different people! They graciously take your recyclables out of the vehicle and separate the different types. They ‘zero out’ each plastic pail and ask if you want to watch for the totals!!! All the other recyclers near me pay the same $ 1.54 lb for aluminum and JD pays $ 1.90!!! When you sign for your money the woman always thanks you for coming and hopes you will return! Although the parking is tricky, as they are not in a lot… I will go no where else again!!!
