History

Established in 1978.

Camino Carpets started as a family business in 1978. Though we’ve had a few different locations over the years, Camino Carpets has always called the Peninsula our home. 34 years (and hundreds of happy customers later), we’re still proud to be serving the Peninsula with our family run business.

Max Décor did a great job for me in my house in Redwood Shores. They were very price competitive and I had a very tight timeline in which to take out all of the old flooring and install new hardwood and carpet throughtout the entire home. They met the deadline and did excellent work! I would highly recommened them!

We hired Paul to repair water damaged hardwood floors, refinish and re-​stain the rest to ensure a consistent feel throughout the house. On the first day of confirmed work, no one showed up. After many calls, Paul sent a few men mid day who actually asked me where the materials and equipment were. This was a sign of quality and service to come. In the end, the flooring team did a F level job on the floors and the damage done to our home was worse than the original water damage. We had to have many repairs done in order to move and live back in after their work; including electrical (they blew circuits), baseboard and wall repairs, as well as extensive caulking and painting throughout the house. We will have to have the floors redone because of the inconsistencies and overall quality. Do not use this organization. See pictures attached.

Recently purchased at 25 year old place and the carpeting was awful. After looking around and getting quotes that were a bit out of our budget a friend recommended Max Décor/​Flooring.
They did an awesome job. Paul was really helpful in helping us figure what would look good in our place that worked with our budget.
We were under a time crunch and needed the floors installed before the weekend as we were moving in. Paul’s guys worked extra had and got our floors installed a day early so we could move in on time!

I will merely state the facts:
Paul scheduled an appointment and said he would bring carpet samples.
I arrived on time but had to wait 30 minutes for him to show up. He did not bring samples and did not take measurements. Told me he would email photos to pick from.
I got the email and replied with my selection. No response.
Fast forward a few weeks and we are ready for installation. Appointment is made and carpet selection confirmed. Tenant will stay home from work so this can be done.
On installation day they were 1.5 hours late. When they finally arrived they did not have sufficient carpet to cover the space.
I ended up using someone else.

The best — these guys totally get it. Other than the best pricing, quality and responsiveness, everything was carried out with an old world charm that’s a dying art. Paul is the man. Zoya and Brenda are amazing too. And our 1920s hardwood floors — refinished sans dust –look stunning.

My husband and I are extremely pleased with the service and quality of work at Camino Carpets. After doing research on vendors in the area, we found that they are competitive in pricing and have an extensive selection of hardwood flooring options. We prefer supporting a family run business where they really service their customers very well and are prompt with responses/feedback.They also offer kitchen/​bath remodeling and window shutters/​updates. We started off with the hardwood floor and we’ll surely go back to them as we make updates to our place.

Hats off to these guys on the Peninsula for coming to SF and doing such great work. Camino Carpets replaced our entire hardwood floor in our Edwardian Flat. Their bid was extremely competitive and they finished the job on time, got us a great deal on floors and left our place immaculate. I highly recommend them! We live in the city and have used higher priced names in the past that did not do nearly as quality work. If you want to work with an honest small business that will take time on your project, go with them.
