I’ve been here almost my whole life and David always satisfied me. Everytime I would try a new haircut he would always deliver. He really takes cutting hair to a passion and cares about how you look. The price is also really good for its quality. I’ve been to the Zoo before but I prefer David.

I took a chance on getting my haircut here. And it turns out… David is a «Excellent Barber» I will always go to him from now on. And would highly recommend him to all people looking to get a good haircut. He is very nice and Definitely knows how to cut hair!

Just got my haircut at this place, because the person I usually go to was closed. He listened to everything I had to say and I felt like he knew what he was doing. My hair looked amazing and the price was amazing too! I’m definitely going back.

I was looking for someone to cut my hair in san mateo and found this place on Unilocal.I was skeptical because of the lack of reviews but David is great at what he does. Hes very friendly and gives you exactly what you want. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a new barber or stylist.

David is still as good as it gets when it comes to cutting hair. I love how cozy and up-​kept the shop is, and he always cuts my hair the way I want it every time I’m back in town.
The prices are average for any haircut – which I can appreciate, since too cheap usually means desperate and too expensive can mean snobby. David is a sweet guy who is polite and always cares about my satisfaction. I’ll definitely be back when I’m back in town.

I discovered Perfection Hairstyling about ten years ago, after the person who had been cutting my hair elsewhere changed professions.
I’m very pleased with the job that David does for me, at a very affordable price. Even though I no longer live as close to his shop as I used to, I don’t hesitate to make the longer drive back and forth, for the sake of getting a good haircut. I also enjoy talking with David during our visits. I find him to be intelligent, personable and caring.
Tip #1: It’s helpful to call in advance for an appointment and to be sure that David will be in when you plan to visit.
Tip #2: If you can’t find a parking space out front on El Camino, there is a small lot with several spaces in back.
Tip #3: David also cuts women’s hair, so if your wife or girlfriend also needs a haircut and isn’t set on a fancy «salon» atmosphere, the two of you can come together.

i randomly pick this salon… i just want to trim my hair. it is a very old fashion salon. the hair stylist told me that he opened this salon for more than 20 years. but he is very nice and friendly. he didn’t try to sell any product to me. he ask me clearly about what i want and do whatever i ask. i am happy about what he did even the store looks little old. i saw the price list said hair cut $ 18, but he charged me $ 20 probably because i have longer hair and i have soo much hair for him to trim which is fine to me.

First time ever that I ask someone to keep my hair long on the top, and trim the sides, and actually have that happen. Usually, they cut too much off the top and/​or the sides and I end up leaving like I had a buzz cut in a military barber shop.
David was nice, thoughtful, and listened to his customer. Will definitely be back.

I have been coming here for years. Although David is not my regular barber (I’m from SF), everytime I made the trip out there to get my hair cut I’ve always left a happy guy.
Don’t come here if you came for a quick, impersonal snip-​n-​trim. Come here if you want a personal, pleasant experience.
As far as I know, this place is a one-​man operation– David does a great job. The place is clean, tidy, and reminds me of one of those old-​fashioned barber shops, yet, everything is modern and updated. He also carries a full line of hair care products and is happy to advise you on what you should and shouldn’t use.
Bottom line– come for the cut, stay for the service.

The owner, David, is from Hong Kong and has been cutting hair for ages. I like going to his shop because it’s always easy to just pop in, get a haircut, and go. No frills kind of place.
