I recently hired Stephanie to do my hair & makeup for my high fashion maternity photo shoot. I was very impressed by the care and attention to detail that Stephanie put into the entire process. I showed her my dress and some photos of my ideal look and she was able to create a masterpiece based on my suggestions. She checked in with me frequently to make sure that the make up was up to expectations. She was able to incorporate the color of my husband’s shirt as well as my jewelry into the overall look. I asked for dramatic but to still look like me. My hair and makeup stayed put during the entire two hour photo shoot! Stephanie was professional and attentive. I will definitely be working with her again on future events.

I never wear much makeup, mainly because i have no idea what im doing!
Whenever Steph is doing my makeup i’m always amazed by how quickly she knows what products to use and how. Because i don’t wear lot of makeup on a regular basis, not to mention i look like i have a black eye when i attempt to do a smoky eye look on myself, i try to pay close attention to what Steph is doing and how she’s doing it. I always ask Steph questions – «how did you do that?» or «what did you use for _​_​_​_​?» I worry that i get annoying after a while but she never hesitates to answer my questions or grab a mirror for me to hold so i can follow along.
After years of different tans/​sunburn, i like to describe my face as 50 shades of brown. This is something i usually am very self conscious about but Steph not only makes my skintone even every time she does my makeup, but she showed me what products to use when i’m doing my own makeup!
My hair has a mind of its own – on a good day i can keep the frizz/​baby hairs under control, but Steph always seems to do that effortlessly. I also love that she uses products that protect your hair from the heat and will hold the style all day/​night.
Last but not least, Steph has an awesome sense of style. I’ll show her a pile of jewelry/​accessories and ask «what should i wear?» When it comes to the final look i ask «does this look okay?» and she’ll make all the necessary touch ups/​adjustments.

I have known Steph for a long time, and for as long as I’ve known her, she has had a love for make up. I am so proud to see her bring this love and passion to life.
So obviously, when I needed hair and make up done for a friend’s wedding, the first person I thought of was Steph. She was available for my date and encouraged a trial date. It took a while to get that set up but she was so accommodating.
On our trial day, she only had time to work on my hair (i trusted her for my face). Prior to our meeting, I had already shown her my ideal hairstyle and we played around with it. It turned out great! And I must add, I love her organization. Everything was clean and stored properly for easy access.
On the date of my friend’s wedding, she was prepared and ready to go. She knew which direction to go for my make up and i absolutely loved it! Everything matched my complexion and nothing look caked on. We actually ended up changing my hairstyle after my curls had set and decided to leave it down. What a great idea, because it went perfectly with my dress! Both my hair and make up held up through the day and night, so no worries there :)
Steph is a so good at what she does. She is a professional. You cannot go wrong being in her hands. I know I trust her completely!

Through my agency and through my fashion blog, I’ve worked with quite a few makeup artists and I have to say, Steph is seriously one of the best that I’ve worked with. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Steph on several shoots now. What I love about Steph is that how she is listens, is detail oriented and creative, and knows her products well. Also, I love how she knows what makeup, and what look will complement the occasion or style that you’re going for. This really does require true talent and experience. Not only that, Steph is such a fun and positive person to be around and makes the whole event that much better. I’ve used Beauty by Steph for multiple occasions and I cannot speak more highly of her! She has exceeded my expectations every time. My favorite technique of hers is the dark smoky eyes. I was initially referred to Steph by a photographer that I booked in San Francisco. He had a lot of good things to say about her, so I was thrilled to have her as my makeup and hair artist. Steph did my makeup and hair for two photoshoots on separate occasions. She did a natural makeup look for a simple beauty shot, and two different sultry, glammed up looks for a fashion and boudoir shoot, both of which turned out to be GORGEOUS and perfect for each shoot. The first time the makeup had a more dramatic effect, while the second created a more soft, sexy-​yet-​subtle look. I love that she is able to achieve different types of looks based on your preferences and various settings and circumstances. She is clearly experienced and knows what she is doing because she knows how to individually cater to different facial features, enhancing your best attributes to make you look the most beautiful you can be. I have dull, uneven skin, but with her work my skin looked flawless and glowing in all my pictures. Rosy cheeks gave warmth to my pale face. My lifeless Asian eyelids and barely-​three lashes suddenly became fierce and beautiful. Seriously, I felt like a super model. I wish she could do my makeup every morning!
Her creativity and talent definitely shine in her work — my before and after pictures revealed an absolutely stunning transformation. I am SO happy to have booked Steph for my photoshoots because she played a huge role in making me turn out as beautiful and confident as I was at those sessions. What I like about her is that she invites you to give her feedback as she did the makeup, allowing us to pick out our preferences on how we wanted each look to turn out. She is also fun, genuine, and personable, making sessions with her to be overall enjoyable and relaxing. She is an amazing makeup artist and person, and I highly recommend her for any special event, especially for photography sessions ;).

Stephanie did my hair and make up for my recent engagement photo shoot. I’ve got to say I was very impressed and happy with her work. She takes her time and does it right! I definitely felt that she gave me a lot of attention and valued my feedback.
She also uses good stuff on her clients! A lot of brand name and quality products in her stash. I especially liked the hairspray that she used! And the foundation she used on my oily skin held up perfectly even through the 5 hour shoot.
I HIGHLY recommend Stephanie for your special events. I’ve seen her work on girls for photoshoots, prom, weddings, etc. and they were all fantastic!
