Dr. John is a specialist in the field of Periodontics and Implant dentistry. He utilizes Laser Therapy in the treatment and prevention of periodontal disease. Dr. John is proficient in soft tissue grafting and esthetic gingival recontouring. In addition, he lectures for Invisalign and works with many Invisalign doctors on their Ortho/Perio cases.

Established in 1961.
Dr. Robert John established the practice in 1961. At that time, he was one of only a few Periodontists in the Bay Area. Dr. Stephen John joined the practice in 1986. They both created a practice that provided individualized attention, exceptional cutting edge periodontal therapy and quality patient care. Patient comfort, awareness and knowledge are extremely important in providing the optimal patient experience. Dr. Robert John has since retired. Dr. Stephen John continues the family tradition of excellence in Periodontics.

Dr. John has lived in the Bay Area the majority of his life. He attended the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco and UCSF for his Periodontal specialty certification.
He served as a Regional Faculty member for the American Heart Association and has been a CPR instructor for over 28 years. Dr. John lectures to dental groups throughout the states on The Perio/Ortho Inter-relationship and The use of Lasers in Dentistry.
Dr. John was inducted into the Pierre Fauchard Academy and the Academy of Dentistry International. The Pierre Fauchard Academy and the Academy of Dentistry International are international honor dental organizations. These organizations recognize dentists who are outstanding in their profession and in their community.
