The Tree Guys – Bay Area Tree

Really good work, excellent clean up, reasonable prices, knowledgeable about trees. We hired them to trim some dead and crossing branches off a massive live oak, and lift the canopy off some adjoining structures (fences, neighboring garages). We also had them remove a couple of melaleuca trees that didn’t survive the drought.
After inspecting the job and submitting a bid, they scheduled a time for a few weeks out. On the day of the appointment, they brought a crew of seven that worked efficiently all afternoon, and did a really impeccable job of removing the debris, down to the leaf. They returned a few days later to grind down the stumps.
Really a pleasure to work with them.

If you are looking to have some of your trees trimmed or having your trees removed with a stump grinding, look no further. «The Tree Guys» I gave 5 stars for their service. My wife and I had Multiple large 40 – 50 foot California Pine Trees removed from our backyard. I watched these guys work for the past 4 days taking the tree down and they did a great job. The owner was really good at addressing our concerns and working with our neighbors to ensure they were all happy with the work. He goes the extra mile to make sure all the work is completed in a timely manner, professional manner, and most of all a safe manner.

They did a great job removing a large oak tree 1 feet away from our house in a very tight space. I was not home for this, but when I came back everything was prefect. no a dig on the house or our neighbor:) they even saved the large trunk for my wife so she can make some benches. Great people and reasonable price. as good as it gets.

I can’t say enough about Louie’s management and communication skills, completing the job on time. He is right on top of his game, checking in and asking me my opinion of how the work is progressing with his professional lead and critic. I found him very forthright and honest to deal with. He really cared about a satisfying outcome for my elder Mother and her home. Rare qualities in todays business. So I would always recommend The Tree Guys, and have them service our property any time. They did a fabulous job and left our backyard clean and clear of any debris. GO TREE GUYS!!! AWSOME!!!

These guys are the best! Whether an emergency situation or just routine maintenance, Louie and his staff are dependable and very reasonable price wise. I have referred Louie to many people and have been a hero every time! Top Notch and Very Reasonable, Very Dependable and the Highest Quality of Work!!! 10 stars if I could!!!

12−10−14 Redwood City. This company just did a fabulous job pruning tall and short pine trees, palms and oaks on our hillside, including cleaning old fallen branches & debris. They were on time, efficient, professional, and we will definitely be recommending them to others. The price was also good for the amount of work.

I had a huge pine tree that grew crooked and was growing through my fence. I have used Bay Area Tree in the past and called them to remove it.
These guys are really good. They climbed up the tree cutting it piece by piece until no more tree. They were careful not to damage the fence or other structures near by.
They take all the debris away too.

WOW! I awoke this morning to find a LARGE portion of my neighbor’s massive tree broken and nearly filling our yard. He called Bay Area Tree, they came out and took care of it, same day. This was a massive «branch» 18″ or more in diameter, 35 feet long, still somewhat attached to the tree way up high, tangled in wires. They did a fantastic job, using ropes and chainsaw. They cleared the area showing utmost respect for the plants that belonged. Nothing was damaged! Truly amazing! They were curtious, knowledgable and friendly. I would not hestitate to recommend them based on this experience.

I’ve used them twice, and been thrilled with them each time. They advise correctly and show up on time and do a good job. I will use them again and again.

Bay Area Tree Co is THE BEST! Louie came out to give us an estimate for a tree removal project (11 trees as tall as 150 feet!). He patiently went through the long, arduous journey in securing a permit from our town which required 2 arborist reports and 1 environmental report including consultation with the Game Warden. He did EVERYTHING– from arranging and meeting with both arborists and environmentalist, communicating with the town and with us regarding the permit process, to picking up the permit and hand delivering to me at my door. I didn’t have to lift a finger! The crew came on time and worked diligently and expertly in removing the trees and cleaned up our yard perfectly. We couldn’t be any more pleased with this company and will ALWAYS use them from here on out. Very professional, excellent work ethic, dedicated, friendly, approachable… just so easy to work with!

These guys were the third option after Mitchell Tree Service gave me a quote that was 2x what everyone else was charging and The Czech Man Tree Service failed to return my phone calls and emails.
Positives: Competitive pricing, prompt and on time, came back when I complained about the work and fixed the problem promptly (same day)
Negatives: Crew didn’t listen to instructions (maybe a language thing) and left a mountain of grapefruit piled on my front porch — quite comical if I didn’t have to deal with it. As mentioned above, when I called to complain, they came back promptly and fixed the problem. Crew also broke a drip irrigation sprayer and didn’t bother to mention it to me — I only discovered it weeks later when the tube attached to it was spraying water all over the place!
All in all: Positive experience with The Tree Guys. Although there was a bit of a communication snafu, I was impressed that they listened to my complaint and came back quickly to correct the problem.

These guys rock! Friendly & professional crew.
They show up on time as agreed, do the job right and are careful not to damage your property. Their rates are reasonable and are very willing to go the extra mile to ensure your satisfaction. Wish more businesses operated like they do.
I’ll use them in a heart beat when the need arises.
Note: Look up your city rules when wanting to remove large trees, as many require permits (i.e. Heritage Tree). These guys can advise you as they deal with it all the time.
