Dr. Chen performs various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including shoulder, elbow, wrist and knee injections, muscle /​tendon injections and other interventional spinal procedures, such as epidural injections, facet joint blocks, or percutaneous disc procedures for your painful condition. Dr. Yung Chen is a Spine & Muscle/​Joint specialist, who completed his training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with a subspecialty in Spine & Musculoskeletal Medicine and Pain Medicine at Stanford University Hospital, Stanford, CA.

Prior entering private practice, Dr. Chen served as an Assistant Professor, Medical Director for the Stanford Interventional Spine Center, Stanford, CA. He has taught many physicians about nerve, muscle, joint, spinal disease and injection therapy. Dr. Chen was voted by the Stanford students as the Best Teacher of the year in 2001. He is dedicated to medical research. He has published numerous articles in Medical Journals and book chapters. He has been presenting research articles at international medical meetings. He was interviewed by KRON TV, newspapers, and TIME magazine (2001) for innovative spine care. Dr. Chen is very excited to serve patients in the Bay Area.
