My review is mostly for the alterations. The work was good, however, I thought it was overpriced. I took pants in for hemming. I can sew but I am a novice so I wanted these slacks done professionally, however, they charged me $ 18. An experienced tailor can do them in 15 minutes so I think the price was high. I would not go back for alterations there.

I am a professional seamstress specializing in Wedding gowns and formal attire. I have trusted El Portal Cleaners since 1980. I always bring my finished work to them for press only to add that final finised touch! They are awesome! I started sewing as a teenager and I have never been dissatisfied with their work! This may not be a big deal to many people, but to people in my world it is so important to have trust in a cleaners with handling a garment that took so much work! The finished product is a reflection on my business, so El Portal Cleaners has always made my work look it’s best!
