Mission Statement
The mission of the Beacon House Association of San Pedro is to assist men recover from the diseases of alcoholism and addiction to other drugs. The association will provide food, shelter, counseling, and the time to build a foundation in recovery and return to family, home and community.
Vision Statement
The vision of The Beacon House Association of San Pedro is to provide the best possible recovery experience for the men who come to us for help. We will do this by having a safe, clean, healthy environment, providing proven methods of treatment and support, by having staff that are well trained and experienced in treatment and by treating each individual with compassion, care and respect they deserve.
History
Established in 1970.
The Beacon House Association of San Pedro is a long term, highly structured, 501c3 non-profit treatment facility founded in 1970. Incorporated in 1974, the association was founded by Father Art Bartlett, a minister, and Michael Dowling, an alcoholic merchant seaman.
