It lousy soooo long wait for bring my food I notice so many different service what go on it so bad sharp business poor thumb down I refuse for nothing tip it sorry so big bad lousy service !

My family has been coming here for years and this is the only place we will come just to eat ribs! Definitely worth the hour drive! The ribs come with fries and a small cup of chili. The staff is super friendly and obviously we have to get on the spirit for the double shot margarita afterwards. The only bad thing is that the parking is sometimes horrible because of all the people in the surrounding areas.

I have eaten down here at least twice a month for the last 5 years. The ribs are off the hook fall off the bone excellent in flavor just great. The other thing about the ribs is they are extremely meaty. I can not talk about the other food, the ribs are so good there is nothing like them in the South Bay. I mean fall off the bone great. A giant rack 21.95 comes with fries and chile.

Good reliable food, not expensive overlooking the Chanel. Nice location to talk or relax alone. Not fancy but not bad, enjoy it.

This spot was okay they basically serve burgers fries seafood ribs & yea. I ordered the plate with fries, fried shrimp, oysters & fish tenders. It was aight not good nor bad idk. They have indoor & outdoor seating. We sat outside & the staff was pretty friendly. They close pretty early.

We decided to take an adventure drive to San Pedro, we are Long Beach locals we do not go out of our comfort zone.
All of us where hungry, we found this nearby hole in the wall place and seeing the very reasonable prices we decided to give it a try. AND let me tell ya! It is not pretty– the joint seamed like an empty small warehouse, one waitress for like 40 tables, everything they have on the menu is either battered and deep fried or super grossly soggy. The coleslaw is like they just pulled seaweed from the near by ocean!
Even the fountain drinks where only gas water so if you like gas water and soggy, deep fried food and a ton of calories plus a heart stroke this is your place. Other then that please, please help yourself and walk away, walk away!
Do not eat here its gross the first thing you see when you go in there is the restrooms right at the entrance! a little hostess bar and they give you paper menus and ask you to seat your self, One guaka burger, 2 chick strips with fries a polish sausage and 4 drinks, wait 2 drinks cause the waitress forgot 2 until we finished she decided to bring them, oh and no NAPKINS (did I mentioned soggy burgers?) I guess she saw us choking on how nasty the food is. We paid $ 31.21 and it was the most money I have ever wasted!
I really was shocked that the title of the place states «Spirits Boardwalk Café» It did kill mine! OOOhh And its no café!!!
Wait one moment!!! We also had a porn show right outside the window we decided to sit at. SOOO Tasteless i wanted to go outside and throw a Tomato at those disgusting persons, nasty food nasty show! talk about dinner and a show!
It seams to me its about the ribs, obviously people have not tried Famous Dave’s!

We asked someone where to grab a yummy bite while at the harbor and they suggested this restaurant. We walked over & gotta say from the outside I was kinda put off. Doesn’t look like a great place but after reading the menu, having a tired/​hungry 1 yr old with us, and seeing the very reasonable prices we decided to just say.
So glad we didnt judge this book by its cover. The clam chowder was good, my Niece devoured it. We ordered the platter for 2. It was fantastic! The ribs were amazing. Fall of the bone, tender. Literally nothing left but bones. The fried clams were yummy. Shrimp & fish pretty standard.
If you want delicious ribs– eat here!
The view is also pretty. :)

I ran into the Boardwalk Café as I was taking my daughter out for a walk around Ports O Call. I was browsing the outdoor menu just as they were opening. The café itself is comfortable and quaint with plenty of outdoor seating for those looking for a view of the harbor and passing ships.
I noticed that much of the food offered at the nearby fish markets are cheaper and better tasting at the Boardwalk. For $ 7.95, you get 6 fishes plus fries, compared to 4 fishes and fries for $ 7.99. The food here is delicious and the serving size bountiful. The staff and crew are extremely friendly and cordial. What I liked most about the café was the quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of the fish markets (plus no fish stench).

This is primarily a place for barbeque pork ribs, their main attraction. They have chicken barbeque and salads and sandwiches as well.
The pork ribs are tender and flavorful with lots of juicy meats that come off the bones nicely. I also noticed that it’s not too fatty (good). Some prefer to add extra BBQ sauce as they eat but I prefer mine as is, flavor is adequate without it.
If you order the giant size rib, the portion is huge. Everyone gets a nice giggle out of it.
I take half home (as I don’t want a heart attack right now) and freeze it. They freeze very well. To heat, let heat slowly in a toaster oven and the flavor is intact.
Sometimes the ribs look too well done with the ends burnt black (they’ll kindly replace it if you request).
The chicken can be on the dry side but their chicken salad is not bad. The chili and fries are average (comes with the order.
The outdoor seating is my favorite (when it’s warm outside), but there are indoor tables. There a view of the Los Angeles Harbor right there from both seating areas, the view is quiet with couple of merchant ships and yachts passing by.
There’s a day cruise boarding area near by and they used to advertise by blasting away their loud speakers (annoying). But they’ve stopped this practice several months ago.
Staff is friendly and relatively quick. The food comes out with a short wait. This is a nice place for small group to celebrate birthdays (reservation is a must if the group is large as you’d take up half the interior seating area).
Overall a nice quiet getaway place. You’d come back with larger mid section though if you don’t mind.
