I adopted two cats from two different foster moms and had a great experience with both adoptions. Once our babies were home the foster moms continued to be very helpful, responding to my many questions and concerns. Almost a year later my two girls are healthy, happy, and very important members of our family. Kitty Devore does amazing things for the cats it rescues — not just taking them in and giving them back out, but working to make sure every cat is rehabilitated and well cared for, which brings the cat’s true personality out and makes sure it gets into a perfectly matched home. I know our two girls couldn’t be a better fit for us. I highly highly recommend adopting through and/​or supporting a foster.

I adopted the most adorable kitten (Maine Coon mix) and our family is in love with her. Actually, our dog, Sugar, thinks that the kitten was a gift to her! The entire process was pain free and pleasant. I appreciate that there is a house check so it is confirmed that they are going to a great home. Sara was willing to meet with us twice as we had to talk my husband into getting a new pet! When we were unsure if she was going to be a match with our family, Sara was great with giving us advice, telling us to give it time, and was willing to take the kitten back if it came to that. Everything worked out and we have one badass kitten!
Autumn is in great health, very outgoing, and problem free. She is very much loved by all of us.
It has been a year since we added Autumn to our family and I still get messages from Sara wanting to know how things are going.

I originally adopted a kitty from Kitty Devore back in 2012. It was an easy process and their adoption rate ($ 90) was less than other rescues I’d spoken with. Having had such a good experience, I decided to follow their page on Facebook. Within 4 months, I decided I wanted to become a foster mom so I could help in their mission to save the kitties from the high-​kill shelter. 3 years and over 30 cats later, I am so thankful I found such a wonderful group to work with. Their dedication is unparalleled and over 3000 kitties lives have been saved due to that dedication. I am now the proud parent of 3 Kitty Devore rescues and they are the loves of my life! Adopt, Don’t shop!

Five stars for the amazing rescue work this group does. Very dedicated.
However…dedication can turn into obsession and zealotry. The administrators are often cruel to members who do not follow the rules «exactly». Shuffling papers and being «right» at times becomes priority over saving animals’ lives, due to the pathological ego of one ounding member. Many fine people have left. The names I was called would have peeled paint off the walls! And I left also.
Donate your money here but not your time or your heart. It will be crushed without a backward glance.
