I used them twice and loved them both times.
Great People, Great Service, moved everything without a major issue.

TERRIBLE–
They damaged the elevator at the Condo my mother moved into. They got stuck in the elevator having overloaded it– it was clearly their fault for the damages. The head of the HOA just so happened to be my next door neighbor. She saw the whole incident and facilitated having an elevator maintenance crew fix the elevator and to say that she was pissed was an understatement.
We were stiffed with the bill. I called Deborah several times because surely they must have insurance and she said they communicated with their insurance and that insurance doesn’t see it as Aloha’s fault. Huh… Clearly Deborah whose husband was on site the day of the move to help knows that it was their fault but refused to cover the bill.
The worst part of this story is that my mother had to move from her home to the condo because she was diagnosed with a terminal illness and needed to move into a place with an elevator… So Aloha stiffed a terminally ill woman that was in a wheelchair with bill to fix an elevator that was not working for her to get out of her unit. DISGUSTING.
I just used Johnson and Daly and wow, they are amazing. Totally different, professional experience. Word is from a professional packing company that Aloha is know for being SHIESTY and DISHONEST.

Aloha Movers just helped us move homes and they were awesome! They said they would be at our house at 8:30am and there were. The three movers were the nicest guys, always asking questions about items and where they should go. They also helped with a few sides tasks when we asked them. One of the best moving experiences I have ever encountered. I would highly recommend Aloha to anybody who is moving.

After paying for storage for seven years my friend finally wanted to go through the items left behind after his mother’s passing. We discovered lots of damage including water damage and MISSING items. Unfortunately, he did not choose the extra insurance offered at the beginning of the contract so we were paid pennies based on their estimated weight of items damaged and missing. They also charged for two men by the hour based on a 3 hour minimum for taking the items out of storage so we could view and inventory them. The worst part of all? They all acted like the damage and missing items were a normal occurrence. I’m not exaggerating. Spring 2011

Aloha Movers came on time and finished $ 200 below their estimate. The movers were scheduled to arrive at 8:30 to 9:00, and they arrived at 9:00. The estimator and the office were as nice and helpful as could be. The two guys doing the moving were more than polite and helpful, they were enthusiastic — it really was the best of moving experiences.
Moving day is stressful, Be sure you are packed, boxed and ready to go — I would rather not pay to have movers box and wrap things, but if you do, it will cost you. We had everything wrapped, boxed and organized and the move went flawlessly.
My experience with them was so good, and the people so nice, that I recommend them without reservation. They were also listed as one of the 3 best moving companies in Marin by the I.J.
It’s always worth the time time to bubble wrap breakables to get it right. Sometimes problems are caused by our own inattentiveness and inexperience. Try taping your boxes closed like you’re supposed to and you won’t have to wonder if someone has rummaged through your things. If you are not the sort that expects movers to deal with a disorganized mess, my experience suggests everytning will go very well for you.

The receptionist indicated two men — 2 hour minimum at $ 60 per hour. Then they guy who delivers says that’s the price per guy. I feel cheated but I committed as I am done spending time trying to move a piece of furniture.

I hired Aloha in February 2011. The agreed-​upon start time came and went. I called the office repeatedly but only got their voice mail. Two hours later, I finally reached someone and was told that the «guys» were on their way. They brought a truck that was too small and had to get a second one. When the move was over, they told me that the actual costs had exceeded the estimate. I was too exhausted to figure out whether I was being charged for the extra truck and workers or something else. They said that I could refuse to pay the additional amount but, if I did, it would come out of the workers’ own pockets. So I paid, because I didn’t want the workers (who did a great job) to suffer. Aloha came highly recommended by someone I trust so I was very disappointed and would not use them again.

Used twice and both times the move itself was done well but also in both cases they hit us with substantially higher fees than quoted — the second time without even informing, they just charged us. Won’t be using them again.

Camp Doodles used Aloha moving this past summer to move our camp supplies into storage and it all went very smoothly. The thoughtful receptionist was able to reorganize the schedule so they came a few hours earlier (our preference) and the movers were responsible and efficient.
