Bed and Biscuits

Since moving to San Rafael about a year ago, we started taking our dachshund terrier mix, Pepper, to Bed and Biscuits everyday while my husband and I are at work. It takes a while for her to warm up to people, but Laura and her team have been so patient with her. Now when I drop her off, Pepper runs to the front door with excitement. Just the other day, she tried to let herself in. Thank you, Bed and Biscuits for always taking such good care of Pepper.

I have been taking my Shih Tzu for grooming here for a few years and I love it. They do a great job for a reasonable pricing.

Bed and Biscuits is a wonderful doggie daycare/​boarding/​grooming facility. Everyone that works there really cares about the animals and are very in tune and watchful of the dogs. My chihuahua terrier mix loves going there and playing with other dogs. He runs through the door when we get there because he gets so happy to be there. The dogs get lots of love and attention and are treated extremely well. You can feel comfortable leaving your dog there weather for the day or for many nights because they will be in good hands. I love that the boarding and daycare is for small dogs only because I think it’s safer for the little ones and many small dogs prefer to be around other doggies their own size. I highly recommend bed and biscuits for your dog’s daycare, boarding, or grooming needs!

Bed and Biscuits is a great place to leave your dog! They take good care of your 4-​legged best friends and are sensitive to dogs who might feel abandoned. The owner Laura is wonderful! Our dog Cooper had some serious separation anxiety the first time we brought him to Bed and Biscuits (he’s a rescue dog). Laura took it upon herself to take Cooper home with her the first night to make him feel more comfortable. He got really attached to Laura and got more comfortable with being at Bed and Biscuits. He still doesn’t love going there, but he is comfortable there now and knows he is not being abandoned. Also, if your dog stays there for long enough, they give him/​her a bath before you pick him/​her up, so he/​she smells good. I highly recommend this place to all. You can feel safe leaving your pooch there.

Bernie, our 9 lb Morkie Poo, absolutely loves it here and so do we! Laura and her staff are fantastic, and the daycare is in a great location right off of the 101 N, very convenient for me on my way to work up in Santa Rosa. We are there at least 3 days a week and their rates are very competitive, making it possible for us to be «regulars!» Bernie has a great time socializing with the other small dogs, he gets fed and napped on schedule and gets a lot of energy out during his days here.
Laura also runs an amazing program for autistic adults, which hits close to my heart as my niece is also autistic. They have a chihuahua rescue there too, Jessica’s Haven, and they were able to take on my co-worker’s brother’s two chihuahuas since he is receiving cancer treatment right now and can’t take care of the dogs anymore. I could not be more grateful and pleased with the care we receive here. Thank you Laura & Crew!

I’ve used this kennel several times for boarding and it seems fine but be aware your dog is left alone a lot. They’re alone at least from 6:30 pm to 6:30 am but in my case, when I drove up there to get my dog at 7am when they open, the girl who was supposed to be there had overslept and only came because I called to get my dog. Who knows how long those poor dogs were going to be alone, without being let out or fed. I don’t know about you but I worry about my little pet and don’t want him suffering with a full bladder for 13+ hours. Pay a bit more and go elsewhere where there’s reliable people there with the animals.

I came here for the great reviews and the fact that it’s very close to my house. After waiting at the front desk for 15 minutes, ringing the doorbell and watching two women in the back, vacuuming, I was already annoyed. But I stayed because their prices were so reasonable. It was 10am I was told to come back at 3 because the groomer would be away. I came back at 3 and another wait, until a girl saw me and came to the front desk. She said the groomer wouldn’t be in today and to make an appointment. I said okay fine, put me down for Friday. So she wrote on the corner of a scrap piece of paper, Friday at 3, with my dogs name. Not even an appointment book?! I wasted 2 trips there with my dog. It sounds like you treat your dogs well, wish you could work on your people skills a little more. I wont be returning. The one star was for their price.

I feel confident taking our chi mix to Bed and Biscuits. She seemed happy to be back the second time we brought her in and Laura is very friendly, flexible and accommodating. So thumbs up for me! (BTW no one asked me for a review)

Love Laura and the team there. Always friendly, personable and genuinely love the dogs. That’s not always the case at boarding facilities. I feel very comfortable leaving my dogs in their hands. Plus I love it when they groom our little poodle mix guy; he’s always looking great. I wasn’t sure if they’d get enough exercise because of the limited space but my dogs come home rested and pooped which we appreciate!

My Westie, Kirby Ferris Loves this place. It is for small dogs only. Omg! He loves it. The people that run it are so sweet! Super clean and loving. The dogs have fun! We love it for a play day!

The whole team at B&B is polite, kind, flexible, reliable, caring and easy to work with. I have never had an ill experience and nor has Idi. He gets to play, nap, cuddle and relax in a comfortable environment while I am at work, or out and about.
Additionally, the grooming is wonderful! Idefix looks dapper after his «salon treatment» and I trust he is being taken care of– plus, I know they give him yummy treats and lots of affection while grooming.
I highly recommend B&B for your furry friend… It truly is a lovely community establishment and I appreciate all their hard work!

The owner was very nice but she gave my dog the worse haircut! I have been to many many groomers, and by far just bad. Choppy, not even. I am so bummed for my dog and bummed for me that has to look at her till her hair grows out.

We love Bed and Biscuits! Our dog had been anxious in other doggie day care settings, and then had been in a home-​based day care for a while. When the home-​based dog care moved we didn’t know what we would do, but thought we’d try the doggie day care setting again, this time with Bed and Biscuits. It was such a relief to find that our dog not only wasn’t anxious there, but more than happy to go, and always feeling happy at pickup time. We have no doubt that this change in him has been due to the great care he gets from the loving staff, as well as the small setting and the freedom he has there. We feel very lucky to have found Bed and Biscuits!

My first visit to Bed and Biscuits was great! I left a message and Laura called back and agreed to see me and my 13 year old Pit-​bull mix Ginger. Ginger doesn’t like other dogs, so it is difficult to find place that will take her. She is great with people but because she is so old, I don’t like to upset her in her golden years!
Ginger just needed a nail trim and Laura was really accommodating about how we could do it without upsetting my baby! I was in and out in 10 minutes and Ginger barely noticed that there were a ton of other dogs at Bed and Biscuits. Laura was knowledgable and caring and gentle with my girl.
I set up another appointment for 2 weeks and HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place!

Bed and Biscuits is really wonderful. This is a great doggie day camp. We boarded our 7 pound Chihuahuafor three weeks. They took great care of her! Bed and Biscuits only takes smaller dogs (most who are pretty mellow), so we didn’t to worry about Twinkie being bullied or scared by larger dogs. They allowed us to walk around their facility and were upfront about their care and schedule.
What we liked best is that the dogs are allowed to run around, enjoy each other’s company, sunbathe etc, where as other boarders we visited had set play times rather than set naps times. The dogs also have lots of human interaction as well, which our dog needs because she’s an only dog at home.
We did wish they had some grassy area or dirt instead of all concrete, but it works for our little dog. The one other thing we wish they would have is 24 hour supervision. However, we were comforted by the fact that each dog or each «family» has their own large cage /​sleep area at feeding time, nap time and night.
They also run a chi-​rescue as well.

This place and their staff have been absolutely incredible in their care and love of our dog Ginger. We can rely on Bed and Biscuits to provide a comfortale and welcoming place for our precious pet and to ensure she gets the love and attention she receives at home. They have been flexible in unforseen extention of stays, and provides an extra feeling of comfort to us when we are away. We are able to be away from knowing she is in the hands of the great and attentive folks at the B&B. Hands down the best place to house your pet!

Bed and biscuits is the best place for grooming I have ever been to. I have a Yorkie who has been to at least a dozen places and this is the only place I go now. I am so glad to have found Bed and Biscuits!

We really like this place for doggy daycare for our pug/​beagle mix! They only cater to smaller dogs (under 35 lbs), and the play yard is small, but big enough for the dogs to run around and burn some energy. They have been very sweet and accepting of our love-​able, high energy pup. They are also a Chihuahua rescue and have any number of them as residents while they are waiting for new homes :) The staff is caring and personal, and the facility is spotlessly clean. They do overnight boarding & grooming, won’t nickel-​and-​dime you for «special affection» time, playing fetch, or mixing up special food like a few other places will, and have great day rates. We have tried pretty much all of the doggy daycares around, and this one is our favorite (AND the most affordable!) in Southern Marin. Plus its close to 101 and right on my way to work!
