In a traditional piano lesson, music is taught by reading notes right away. Students learn music best when they experience it first, the same way they learn to talk and read. You wouldn’t hand a book to a toddler and say, «here, read this» before he has learned to simply talk. I teach piano in the same way. We learn to feel, hear, and understand the basic elements of the piano through fun songs and games. Students play songs by heart and really understand them. After they are fluent in this process, reading follows naturally and easily, and students flourish because they are more than just «reading robots.» They can speak, feel, hear and understand they language of music. This intuitive and fun method creates a musician who can play for life.

Business Owner
Danielle started teaching piano in 2006, when she realized that the traditional piano lesson was flawed. Her students were bored and not internalizing the language of music.
She had played easily and naturally since she was 3 years old– so why couldn’t she teach it that way?
Completely engrossed with this question, she has studied with cutting-edge music teachers throughout the West Coast to uncover a number of engaging techniques for drawing musicality out of her students from day one.
She aims to make music a fun, human, and natural part of daily life.
