Deeper Into Life

I have been seeing Deepika for about the last two months to help me develop my somatic side in a constructive way. I can be pretty skeptical about things I have little experience with, and while I was somewhat aware of the theory behind somatic therapy I walked in the door with my expectations in check. Well, much to my surprise and delight, this therapy has been extremely helpful to me. I am more in touch with my body, and more comfortable in my own skin. This shows up in the way I appear to others and oftentimes in how I interact with them. It also has helped me loosen up in situations that have been stressful to me in the past — from trivial situations like learning a new dance step at a group salsa class with my wife and other (and much better) dancers, to more serious situations that come up with family and business. The only thing I was doing differently between «the before» and «the after» was the work I did with Deepika, and that tells me that the things she taught me really had a positive impact. I intend to continue practicing what I have learned with her coaching and encouragement. I think Deepika is a very insightful person, full of compassion, and for anyone looking to work on themselves somatically I would recommend Deepika without hesitation.
