Digital Ciggz – San Rafael

On a rainy Sunday evening I walked into Digital Ciggs in San Rafael. I was looking for some e-​liquid and was hoping for something different. Not only did i find a shop with many different flavors and sizes, but I was surprised that they had the ability to offer taste tests of the different blends so that I could make a decision. I was used to shops and liquor stores that make you point into some locked glass case and hopefully have the one that you are looking for. Not the case here. Just friendly and knowledgeable customer service and fair prices for great products.
I’ll certainly be back.

Very Happy With The crew & management at this location. I bought a Sx mini M class, at this location. I would Highly recommend buying one here if you are in the market for a High End device to vape with. Very rare but my Sx Mini stopped Firing after about 2 months. This device has a 1 year Warranty. That is how sure the company is about there product, but after about 10 to 13 days i am up and running again. The manufacturer sent a brand new one. Any negative reviews you have read about this Location? i am not sure what these people’s problems are? Maybe they pooped themselves? I have always had a good experience.

These guys are generally losers, bottom line: go down the street to VIP Vape.
I used to go in for the location convenience to buy vape liquid. Ive watched these guys multiple times take advantage of the less knowledgeable. –they like to think of themselves as hackers of a «very complicated technology that makes steam». They try to make customers feel stupid, and then push their outrageously marked up equipment. Mind you none of them can explain the simple relationships of Ohms Law behind the equipment options.
There is absolutely no business sense or customer service. The manager, George, is this fat kid that is always siting back on his stool eating Thai take-​out on top of the display counters, and stinking up the place. He rarely engages with customers when they are actually there, yet he is quick to control an underling on which customer should be denied a warranty repair, refund, or purchase discount. It’s like jabba-​the-​hut. There is one employee Ive seen with some people skills, and Aussie accent I think. I didnt see him there that often however. My guess is he has a life outside the store.
Last, take note of management’s very sophisticated and mature customer service replies to the negative reviews here. I am personally skeptical of who is behind any positive comments.

Welcoming staff, very informative, awesome atmosphere. I love it here. They take the best care of my vape pens and answer all my questions. They honor their warranties also. I had a problem with my box mod and they replaced it for free and set me up with a whole new set. I recommend it to all my fellow vapers.

This place has excellent customer service and a positive outlook. I have had nothing but an excellent visit every time. They carry a wide variety of flavors, brands of mechanical mods, box mods, tanks, attys, and much more. They are all very knowledgeable and always honest. (which in this industry is something you need more than anything) They are constantly updating their juice line and recently applied a price reduction in juices. They also give discounts on pretty much everything in the store very routinely not to mention you can do the special game on Wednesdays to get additional discounts. Check them out. Very welcoming environment with great customer service.

Friendly enough staff; but can’t help but feel I was ripped off. I was charged almost triple the price of an IPV mini2.
Let me start by saying that I was new to the vape world and was probably more trusting than I should have been. If you are new, try and research ahead of time because it’s probably not smart to trust the salesman to have your best interest in mind.
I had come in and purchased an aspire starter kit and it worked well enough until I broke my tank.
Time for a new one.
I figured I might as well upgrade while I was at it, so I went in to get a new battery box. This is where I feel I was swindled.
After some discussion I decided on buying the IPV Mini 2. I knew little about it outside what i was told by the salesman, but it had all the features I wanted but at a hefty price tag.
$ 140 for a box battery system. After a month of owning it and using it for one weekend, I went to see if I could exchange it. They don’t allow returns.
I googled the price of this unit, and it is $ 60 everywhere else. Literally every single online shop. I understand overhead, but this is ridiculous. I feel as though they fed off of my ignorance.
Needless to say, I am no longer a customer and have actually quit vaping.
TL;DR: I was charged $ 130 for a $ 60 item and it wasn’t a mistake. 0 return policy. Friendly staff but might be a bit of a show.

The service was terrible. They refused to serve to me just because i looked young. They were rude and didn’t have any intention of wanting to serve me. Never going back.
Nott to mention. I had my ID and im over age.

I wound up walking down that shady looking hallway entrance, into Digital Ciggz’s unit (which I believe can be described best as, «The place you picture illegal business transactions being made, whether it be weapons, drugs, or sex slaves.») on a poorly planned mission to quit smoking by copying one of my savvier friends current e-​liquid routine: all I knew is I wanted a bottle of Space Jam — Pluto liquid, and a new rig entirely to use it. I had two of those 30 buck pen-​looking vapes at one point, but one was literally torn in half while I tried to un-​screw it and charge the battery, and the other started sputtering liquid into my mouth on the drive to work on one of those bad days, and I threw it out the car window in an impulsive rage.
Now, the one my buddy has which I tried the space jam pluto out to begin with was apparently 30 or 40 bucks. However, I couldn’t remember which it was, and the guy who seemed to be in charge of the place was assisting me within the first minute I started browsing. I told him I wanted one of the rectangular ones, and that I absolutely hate the 30 buck pen ones to the point of throwing them out car windows and ripping them in half.
Not surprisingly, instead of spending the 60 bucks I had loosely intended on, by the time all the choices had been made, I was at the $ 140 investment level. I got the Cloupor Mini vape unit, a SubTank Nano for the tank that holds the oil, a battery (the cloupor utilizes a separate battery so it won’t die a few years from now like the cheaper one my buddy has that’s got a built-​in battery) and the bottle of space jam. The dude helping me out was by no means tricking me into buying more stuff, but suggested the best of the best, and I concurred.
But what really made me write this review was what happened after I paid for it and was about to leave… the guy kind of insisted I let him show me how to set up the thing… I was tired and had come in after a long day of work, but begrudgingly agreed. Ten minutes later, the unit was operational and I was hitting it on my way back to the car, but most importantly, had he not shown me the ropes, I would’ve broken it the second I tried to set it up by myself, and been out at least half what I spent replacing parts.
Its been a day, and I’ve never felt this confident about not smoking actual cigarettes before… actually, it’s more than that… the desire to smoke the actual cigarettes has ceased to exist. That’s how much I like this thing.
To a certain extent, I owe this place my life should I not go back to the death sticks.

A while ago I bought what I thought was an authentic penny mod for $ 250. It was an 18 500 which turns out Mad Industries doesn’t even make! They seduced me telling me that it was going to chuck clouds and taste better than any other mod. They took advantage of my ignorance and I paid the price. Lesson learned. Never going back there again. Stay away. Too expensive not genuine FAKE ASS PEOPLE.

Thank God for helping me end my last vice! I would never have stopped smoking, if there was no Digital Ciggz in San Rafael. I was living in guilt & shame for years. The people here are very helpful. I was able to stop smoking since the first day! That in itself is a real gift. Everyone who quits smoking this way has great results. The store staff has been very helpful: Taylor, Danielle, & Jorge have been helping me every time I have a technical issue. I would recommend this store to anyone who has the desire to stop smoking. You can vape in airports, vape during your travels, & vape in your home. You can reduce the amount of nicotine until you are ready to quit. Thanks again for all the help!

I walked into this store and there were 2 customers being helped in front of me. I stood there for 15 minutes waiting, which I didn’t mind because they were there first. Then another client came in after me who apparently made a recent purchase and had lost some of her e cig components. She said she had to leave to return to work and the sales associate (I think it was the owner) skipped right over me, without any acknowledgement, to help her. If there had been ANY apology or recognition for this I would have been ok with it BUT he didn’t give me the time of day. I find that to be extremely lacking of any acceptable customer service and I will never return to this establishment. I will spend my money elsewhere.

The staff are knowledgeable and helpful when you can get their attention, but I will never go back.
I got my first starter kit here and subsequently spent hundreds of dollars on e-​liquid, accessories and more advanced gear, all from here.
There was a particular product I was interested in, but was out of stock and was told it would be in «in a couple days» by homeboy with the dreads. I live nearby, so it was no big deal to pop in after work and see if it came in.
After a couple tries, I come in one day and homeboy with the dreads says «We got it, but this is the only one. Better grab it.»
He takes the power pack out (not in any kind of packaging) and upon looking at it for 2 seconds, I can tell its obviously been used. And not just charged up and tested. Lots of tiny, hairline scratches and marks and a little ring of fluid residue inside consistent with regular use over a long period of time. Not something that happens in 2 days sitting in the case.
Guy knowing tried to deceive me in particular and tried sell me used product as new. Impossible for that to be a mistake. I was pretty livid, but didn’t feel like calling him on it. Caught me on a good day. Instead went online to AMAZON and bought the exact same product for about 30% less. Anything they sell can be found elsewhere for cheaper. Every tobacco store has a case of this stuff now. They have nothing special.
I like to support local local, small business, but these guys blew it with me. The owner Michael seems like a straight-​up dude, I would never expect him to condone this. I almost feel bad shaming his business this way, but he needs to get a better crew in there.

If you want to wait in a 45 minute line and then be cut in front of twice by rude people and then served last by the staff even though you were there first, then by all means go to this store. I’ve really never had so many consistently crappy retail experiences in one place — I gave these guys three chances to be polite/​have a less arrogant attitude/​and/​or be more helpful and only in my final visit did I at least get some customer service eventually (after being treated in line like I’m either invisible or a leper, WTF?). They get a second star for the eventual service at least — my broken charger was replaced with no fuss.
Anyway, I’m a local mom who knows many others like myself who would love to trade cigarettes for vaping — but I will not send them over to Digital Ciggz where they could likely be treated like sub-​class citizens (because we’re 40 year old women? I honestly cannot figure it out!)
I am by no means the only woman I know who has had a bad experience here… what’s the deal guys? Please, for the sake of your biz, try to help your customers feel less self-​conscious in your shop.
My friends tell me Frisco Vape treats them well and the e-​liquid is amazing.

Absolutely terrible experience. The guy with dreds was nice but helping someone else the dude with glass’s and the tribal tattoos on his fore arms was awful and the one unfortunately «helping» me. It was like pulling teeth to get any input or advice. They didn’t have replaceable tips to try flavors they just wiped with a sterile pad. Disgusting. There atomizers were burning out so you couldn’t taste anything but burnt plastic. They over charged me and when I pointed this out it was like someone’s dog just died. Completely lethargic and un-​responsive.
The atmosphere felt like a dirty dark head shop and not a vapor bar/​shop. If someone were to tell me they were selling meth out of the back I wouldn’t be surprised.
It’s a shame that this is the only vape shop in Marin. I would never recommend this place. I’m fact I signed up for Unilocal just to write this review.

I was a smoker for at-​least 20 years about 11 years ago I quit for nine years. So basically i picked it back up for two years. I thought I’d never get free from the monster again. I tried the patch etc. nothing. I went in about month ago with a friend of mine to see what a the hype was about these vapor pens. I had my suspicions that these were just as harmful as smoking.
After speaking with a guy named Grant who was so helpful and knowledgeable about every question I asked, I felt comfortable enough to purchase one.
IT’s BEEN 33 DAYS, and counting and I’m on my way right now to just get a plain flavored one. I’ve got it beat and my whole family is happy. I am too! Thank you!

What a great experience. These guys know what they are doing.
I decided to make the switch from cigarettes to the Evod vape pen. I was completely uninformed when it came to the product, so I was hoping the staff would be able to help guide me.
They sure did. I’m terrible with names, so I don’t remember who was helping me, but he was very knowledgeable and patient with me. When it comes to technology I don’t understand, I like to be thorough in getting to understand it. Dude behind the counter couldn’t have been better.
I won’t drag this out, but it was a great experience. They let me try any flavor of nicotine I wanted, so I walked out with 3 flavors I know I like. Got my startup kit (2 pens included. Nice to have one for home, one for work) and 3 different flavors for under a hundred bucks. And lets be real, if it helps get me off of the cancer sticks, it’s well worth it.
Give these guys a visit. Couldn’t recommend them more.

Heard of this place from a friend. My husband, Tim, and I went in and both walked out extremely satisfied. We both bought completely different setups and are both really happy with the product selection and service. Upon purchasing, Grant walked us through a whole tutorial for each set that we bought. He was extremely knowledgable. The other guys there even chimed in, making the whole experience a perfect ten. We are so stoked to have found this place and we recommend it to anyone and everyone! :)
