I’ve seen Karen three times.

I have been going to se Holly for a little more than a year now. I can literally say she saved my hair. Over the past year she has been the only hairdresser I have seen to get my hair cut and colored. Every time I go in to see her I walk out feeling satisfied with the amazing work she does. I highly recommend going to see her even if you have no idea what you want to do to your hair. Thank you Holly!

Got my hair done there a couple times, and I must say very impressed! Walk in as me, come out looking like a whole new person thank you guys did a great job!

Rosa did an excellent job, as sometimes short hair is tricky. She asked a lot of questions and used the feedback to satisfy me completely. Her manner professional but warm, I felt comfortable as a first time customer. I will certainly go back and recommend her highly

I love Karin. She fixed a botch cut from Marinello’s (what was I thinking?) and took a great deal of time and care. She’s a real pro in my book.

Rosa is awesome! I scheduled an ombré with her before leaving california (i got a deal on groupon) and she did a very good job making my black treated hair caramel/​blonde and shiny. She is very accomodating (scheduled earlier than her usual time in and she made it happen.) and sweet. Will definitely be back to visit!
And i also needed a purple shampoo to maintain the color, she gladly hooked me up with a great deal on a fancy shampoo.

I went there today and got service by Rosa. She done very good job with my hair cut. I asked her to remove my damage hair and get me a new hair style. I loved it. Highly recommend and for sure I will be back again.

Had a great first time visit today with Rosa! I showed her a picture of how I wanted my bangs trimmed and she nailed it! Root touch up and style looks awesome. Love her friendly, outgoing personality. Looking forward to her putting highlights in my hair next time! Love that they have parking in the back! Cute salon too and great prices!

Chelsea is amazing! This is the first time in a long time that a hair stylist genuinely listened to what I wanted and did exactly that, my hair looks better than wonderful. I couldn’t be happier, definitely go see Chelsea!

I went today for the first time. I loved it! Patty is amazing. She did a great job. I def. recommend this place. Very nice people and overall just good service. I will be going here again.

I needed a new stylist so decided to let Unilocal decide for me. I chose Headlines mainly because of the negative review about the stylist name Linda. I use to do hair and know there are difficult clients who are never, ever happy. The bad review about Linda was poorly written, ridiculous and caddy. I decided Linda would get my business based on the caddy review by the angry customer. I know from my professional experience that there are clients who you just can’t please and I felt the review written was one of these types of clients.
Yes, I know I really took a leap on this one but figured it is just hair and if Linda is terrible like the girl reviewed, then I can get it fixed and rethink my method of choosing a stylist next time.
I went to Linda and instantly felt a connection. I have to say, this is the best haircut I have probably ever had and the hilites are fantastic! I am so glad I trusted my gut on this one. Linda now has a new, very pleased client. I love taking lemons and making lemonade!!!
The salon is absolutely adorable too. It is happy and friendly and not once did I doubt Linda’s abilities. I loved my experience.

AWESOME! I have difficult hair, that I would ordinarily describe as frizzy and difficult. I fear hair cuts because I have had people who insisted they knew how to deal with the course texture and thickness, but ended up making me look like a complete fool. I explained all of this to Holly, showed her pictures of how I ordinarily wear my hair and talked about my fear of haircuts. I also explained that I needed some refreshing because my style was drab and boring. She made some suggestions, and I was actually a little leery, but agreed.
OMG! I can not believe the miracle she worked with my hair. My friends and family couldn’t believe the miracle she worked with my hair. My husband couldn’t believe the miracle she worked with my hair!!! (See where this is going?)
Patricia did my eyebrows, Lee did my pedicure — it was a wonderful experience all around.

Carol is so amazing! After getting a super choppy hair cut and color from a previous salon she fixed me up and I felt beautiful! She colored my hair brown with caramel highlights and fixed my haircut in under two hours. She is such a nice person to talk to and gave me exactly what I wanted. I recommend her to anyone!

I have a friend who seems to get these amazing haircuts when she is in town, and I always ask her every time I see her, where and who does her hair? She kept telling the name of a gal at this place in San Rafael, but I personally wasn’t truly ready to make the jump from long hair to short, just yet. About 6 months ago, I saw her again, and asked the same question, because her hair looked amazing! She told me to go to Headlines and ask for Linda. I am VERY picky about who touches my hair. I’m the same way with waxing as well. I’ve even driven from Los Angeles to Marin, to get my eyebrows waxed by «my eyebrow lady» because the one time I went out on a limb… it was a disaster. I tried cutting my hair short and went to Cooper Alley in Larkspur. I paid a lot of money, for a haircut that I ended up hating, and spent the next 6 months with a hat on my head. That experience was 4 years ago, and it took me until 6 months ago to bite the bullet, trust my friend, and see Linda.
I brought pictures of what I wanted. There were several, and they all looked different. She felt my hair, and really got a feeling for what my hair would look best in, and not to go as short as I wanted, «let’s try this look and, if you feel more comfortable, we can go even shorter in the future.» She was right. I was SHOCKED at how amazing my hair looked. People, complemented me constantly. Over the course of the next few months, I did eventually decided to go pixy, and I have to say, I wouldn’t trust anyone else with a short edgy cut, than her. She has been doing hair for close to 15 years, and is very talented at envisioning the final outcome. A concept in regards to hair, I have an issue with, as I had NO idea what it would look like mid cut…
Every time I see her, my hair cuts get better and better, when I didn’t think it was possible! She told me that as she understands the way my hair works with different cuts, the better they get, and she was right. I highly recommend Linda, if you want an edgy, professional short do. I have no experience with her other than that, but I can vouch for that huge hair transformation that many women and men may be looking for at any point in their life.

Still going here, wouldn’t dare see anyone besides Holly. She’s the best!

For the best hair dresser in Marin ask for Joyce, OMG my hair has never looked better! I never knew my hair could look this great! I get compliments at least once a day. I have dark brown hair and the color she did looks natural that is hard to do w/​dark brown.
The salon is pretty and clean and the her product line is great.
I will never go any where else! I was unhappy with my color for years and did not know that it could look this good, my hair looks like it did 20 years ago as far as color. Amazing so thankful to have found Headlines and Joyce.

The owner doesnt acknowledge any customer in her shop, not even a smile, nothing! Not to mention an «I dont care» attitude.
And definitely do not use Linda as your hair stylist. She was a great disappointment. Just to mention, I have been with Linda for over a year. The last incident was that she highlighted my hair and the color bled plus I wasn’t satisfied with the overall results. Instead of fixing the color bleed that same day she sent me home telling me to come back if it bothers me. Well, it bothered me once I pulled my hair back because it was very noticeable. It took several days to get an appointment with her and she seemed bothered. I should be the one bothered but I stayed nice about it. Before I came in to have Linda fix the color bleed I also mentioned I needed her to correct my coloring, too. Well, I get to the salon and Linda fixes the bleed. As I begin to tell her how I didn’t like the outcome of the highlights she got very defensive and rude. Even told me what I was saying, «made no sense.». I should’ve walked out but I didn’t. I’m thinkng she“ll take care of me but instead tells me she has no time today for me. What?! I told her before I came in that I needed her to fix my coloring. She should have made time for me.
About a week passes and I call Linda. (Knowing I left upset she should have gotten in contact with me.). I tell her I really need her to fix my coloring she has the nerve to tell me I waited too long and now I have to pay for the highlights again. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing! Was she serious?! She preceded to tell me her work is too good and she’s reasonably priced and she can’t afford to give me a discount. I have never asked for discounts but being her regular client and being unhappy makes reason for it. Really, she shouldve corrected it for free! Linda knew all along how unhappy I was with the highlights. She let me walk instead if making it right. She would rather lose a client than swallow her pride and do what’s morally right. Well, she lost this client. And, I bet the owner has no idea either. Oh well, their loss.

Trust me! There are plenty of other stylists and salons… do not settle.

Linda is the best! I have been going to see Linda here for over a year now cause she understands my difficult hair! I have fine hair that won’t stay styled or really won’t retain hair dye. She understands my issues and makes it works!
I like seeing her at Headlines but they have good pricing and it’s in a great location! They always have a great selection of products you can purchase at good prices. All of the staff have been kind and attentive.
I recommend anyone looking for a GREAT hair cut, color and more, go see Linda at Headlines. Recently my mom went to get her first hair cut by Linda… she loves her too now!
