History

Established in 1995.

I trained in Massage Therapy at the Intitute of Psycho-​Structural Balancing, begining in 1995. In 1999 I began training and eventually teaching the same techniques at IPSB.

Over the years I have learned many techniques, including a certification in Cranial Sacral work from IPSB and Polarity Healing Arts. I am a 2nd degree Reiki practioner. Everything I have learned is integrated into my work.

I also went to Thailand in 2001 and 2004 and received training in Nuad Boran, or Traditonal Ancient Thai Massge.

From 1999 – 2009 I was a teacher at IPSB.

My massage is a combination of techniques, anatomical and physiological science, and empathetical sensitivity — it all leads to one of the best massages you ever will have.

I offer table massage sessions, swedish style relaxation, deep tissue, cranial-​sacral, energy work, reiki. all sessions are according to your needs and preference, and may be an integration of techniques.

In 2001 and 2004 I made journeys to Thailand to study ancient traditional massage techniques. I offer traditional style Thai Massage as well — a style preference of many clients!

While I am not currently teaching, I do offer massage and anatomy tutorials, and individual trainings to interested therapists. Let me know how I can help

I loved my massage from Brian! What a wonderful experience. Brian is very no nonsense just great technique and strong powerful hands. He was spot on with fixing my overworked arm and shoulder. I was a crazy mess when I went in there. Literally I felt as though it might take five Brain’s and twenty massages to feel better. In fact he put me back together in one session. I bought a Groupon and was a bit worried this might be a «Goupon Massage» not a really great one. In fact it was great! Brian has professional training in many styles of massage. He studied massage in Thailand as well. Although he does not do traditional Thai Massage his work is very unique. For me no amount of pressure is too much. His was fine. He worked on my shoulders, arms, back, legs, neck, and feet. There is no doubt this will be the beginning of a long relationship. Brian is not chatty. He is just a great masseuse. The work speaks volumes.

I haven’t had a massage for a long time, but Brian hit the mark. I asked for a firm massage, and he had great, consistent pressure throughout. Also, I really appreciated that try to talk to me during the massage – he let me relax and take in. I left feeling quite relaxed, a little looser, and very pleased.

I have been around awhile and have had hundreds of massages. I can honestly say that two of the best massages I’ve ever received were from Brian. He has an amazing touch, deep and therapeutic, very responsive to what needs work with and without verbal guidance. I have chronic problems with my neck and shoulders, which he addressed right away, digging out knots and crunched up areas intuitively and very effectively. Absolutely fabulous — I feel great and plan to see him regularly. I give him the highest recommendation!

I initially started getting massage every so often as I tended to see it more as an indulgence rather than an ongoing therapy. But I recently decided to start seeing Brian once a week and it has made a huge difference in my physical and mental state. The ongoing therapy I receive from Brian ensures that my body (and mind!) stays relaxed and limber. I have a toddler and I own and operate a small business, so I tend to push myself.
Brian is very skilled at what he does and I highly recommend him. He knows the human anatomy very well and knows how to tailor his massage to the needs of the client. His experience and attention are invaluable. I highly suggest that anyone looking for a massage therapist in Marin see Brian.

Brian was terrific. I had just traveled from LA to Honolulu and back to the Bay Area within a 24 hour period and sure needed a massage. I emailed Brian a week before and he responded promptly to book two — two hour massages for my bf and I as this was for his birthday and our anniversary. He even scheduled another therapist so that the bf and I could go at the same time. When we arrived everything was setup and we went right in. Brian told me don’t worry if I fall asleep, which I usually never do, but with all the travel I promptly passed out. I usually like very firm massages which Brian provided for more than adequately. I just wished I could’ve stayed up to ask him about his experience with Thai massage. I would highly recommend Brian and will definitely return to see him when I’m back to visit my home away from home.
