Meet the Business Owner

Josh N.

Business Owner

Josh was raised in the Adirondack Mountains of Upstate New York where he studied piano and singing at age four. His first concert was with the All State Children’s Chorus at the capitol in Albany. After dabbling with trumpet, cello, guitar, and trombone, by age 14 Josh was busy singing and playing bass in his high school rock band «Axis» as well as holding down the bass chair in the school jazz band. «Bass was an instrument with a lot of room to grow on. It seemed like everyone was playing guitar and I filled the need.» Josh attended Boston College where he received a BA while doubling as jazz bassist for BC Bop! and house bassist for The Contemporary Theater Society of Boston College. Josh played bass and sang in a full time touring party band out of Boston called «Out Of The Blue» for two years before relocating to the SF Bay Area. As a performer, Josh has recorded or appeared on stage with many well known Bay Area artists and organizations including David Grisman and Amy Levine.
