Never never order from here. The tea takes way way too long to even come. Never even got an email confirmation about my order. And all my phone calls get directed towards a voice mail. Save your money and buy somewhere else.

Horrible company! They have zero customer service, their online orders are always messed up and you can’t even get a hold of them to fix it. Time to find an alternative to these guys.

Shipping took 10 days will not use them again. Tried to call customer service and that takes you to voicemail where you leave your name and number and still haven’t received a call back.

I placed my first on-​line order with this company five days ago. I have not received an email that it has shipped. They say they ship within three business days. I called two days ago and the rude woman on the phone told me they were out of stock but that new stock should arrive that day. Still, to date, no email that it has shipped. I just called again and the same rude woman said that it has shipped and that I should have it on Monday. I like the tea, but their customer service is terrible. The woman on the phone should be fired. I did not read these reviews before ordering. Had I, I might not have ordered. This may be my last order from them. Beware.

I ordered a tea gift set for xmas online and either I or the company sent it to a previous order-​location I had done about 6 months ago. I found out that the order went to the wrong person when she (the recipient) texted me a «thank you». Oops. Oh well I thought, she deserved the gift and I wasnt going to say, «hey that wasnt meant for you», at Christmans! LOL. I wrote to the company and no questions asked or blame extended they quickly sent me another order free of charge. Never mind that the tea is great, now the customer services is too! Beware!!! I have been waiting for my order for over six weeks and have followed up multiple times to try to obtain delivery. An order I placed with them back in the spring took longer to be delivered than any other order I have placed via the internet. I should have learned my lesson then, but I liked the tea so I was prepared to be patient this time. My patience has run out; I will not order from Might Leaf Tea Company again!

I’m having the same issue as Ephraim… it’s been three weeks and they have still not given me an update as to when I will be receiving my order. I really like their tea and don’t want to cancel the order but if this goes another week I’m requesting that they credit me at least half of the order to compensate for their lack of customer service.

I placed an order online for loose tea. When I hadn’t heard anything after 2 weeks, I called their customer service. They said they’d «moved warehouses» and that all orders were delayed. I waited another week and called again. They said they were still having trouble filling orders. I canceled and they said they’d issue a credit. That was almost 3 weeks ago, and still no credit.
I’ll never buy from them again. Adagio is much better, since they actually ship the product they sell. Imagine that.

Warning: Don’t place a recurring order! Without any explanation, the price goes way up with a huge shipping charge. In my case, the total charge went up almost 50% of my original order. When I called them about this issue, the employee was curt, saying only «That is our policy». No other explanation, no diplomacy, nothing. I cancelled my recurring order. Find a better company if you can.

Love, love, love their products. Their ordering and customer service are not as good. I had to wait a day to get a reply to one of my questions. Is there only one person working in customer service? Maybe one person in the whole company? Definitely just one person working in accounting or whoever does inventory.
Someone gave me a pouch of the lemon verbena tea. I loved it. I ordered from a different, cheaper brand but it wasn’t as good. So I ordered some lemon verbena from Mighty Leaf and some mint tea as well.
Just ordered directly from them for the first time. Got the message «we’re doing inventory and your order will be delayed». Then a week of silence. When I finally emailed customer service I did get an answer after 24 hours that my order was going out today and wait for a tracking number. Never heard of a modern company «shutting down» to do inventory. Bizarre.

How is it that San Rafael is the HQ for good caffeinated beverage companies? Equator, one of my favorite coffee companies also hails from here. I’ve had the teas from Mighty leaf in many a restaurant and café and one of my co workers just handed me a box of Orange Dulce. Not sure why I waited till now to review them. Even the non loose leaf satchels are small packages of craftsmanship. More importantly the tea variety is large and it’s good tasting stuff. 4.3 stars

Wow The person on the phone was sooo rude !

2 months after i placed an order with mighty leaf, i found a charge for 41.79 from them on a card i no longer use. They told me the products and they were no something i ordered or received (i dont even like their organic breakfast). They are fighting me a bout reversing this unauthorized charge. I am now dealing with bofa disputes. I know someone who got a charg e on their card 8 months after ordering at mighty leaf. Watch out for your credit card around them.

I purchased tea from Mighty Leaf in December 2011. Eight months later, I received an email stating that during an audit, they discovered that they had under-​charged me. I was notified that I needed to pay the difference with the credit card they had on file or I could call them to have them bill me however I wanted to.
I don’t appreciate being contacted eight months after an order and to top it off, the price difference they claimed I owed was incorrect (off by a cent). It’s no wonder this company has accounting problems, they can’t even do basic math.
Btw, there is nothing wrong with the product. I’ve even given some as gifts. It’s a shame that their accounting and customer service is an epic fail. Put it this way, would you like to reconcile your payments eight months after the fact? Never again!

If I were rating just the tea it would be four and five stars, at least for the ones I’ve tried. Some won’t stand up to a second brew and their bagged tea is often weak but their bulk teas, especially the blended ones are some of the best tea I’ve ever had and I’m addicted to a few of them.
However, this review is not about the tea because the tea alone does not make the company.
Their teas are overpriced and this is proven on all their competitors websites. Yes the Mighty Leaf Tea blends are unusual and unusually good, but not to the extent they’ve priced them.
The only way you can buy some of the teas is through their website. They will not let you pick up tea so you’re forced to pay shipping and in many instances the shipping is equal to the cost of the tea, even when you live in their neighborhood! That’s just not right and the wholesale tea buyer’s from our local grocery stores agree. Mighty Leaf loose teas aren’t sold in the grocery stores so there is no way around the shipping. If Mighty Leaf really cared about fair and equal distribution they would address the concerns of the tea buyers about keeping bulk tea fresh on the shelves (like many of their competitors) so that we don’t have to pay for shipping.
The website is programmed so it is difficult to order what you want, when you want it. There is no such thing as next day shipping. Customer service is almost always one very nice woman, but raise a complaint and she goes defensive. The «I just work here» remark was such a surprise.
Today I went to the websites for Samovar, Numi, The Tea Spot, Tea District, Rishi Tea and Generation Tea. I purchased their version of my favorite Mighty Leaf teas. I am determined to never over pay for tea again even if it means giving up the ones I love. Shame on Mighty Leaf for making it so hard.

Their asian teas are uniformly bad. Jasmine and Green Dragon taste like the low quality green tea I get at any Asian market. I wonder where they’re sourcing them. Only the Hojicha is somewhat drinkable.
And their tea bag is badly designed, the string may look nicely but is also great capillary action every time. So if you leave the tea bag there, it will drip tea all over the table in couple of minuets.

Mighty Leaf Tea is mighty good and can be found at speciality markets as well as coffee houses. Albeit, as a non-​coffee drinker tea is always my perferred choice. I throughly enjoy Green and White Orchard. Artisan crafted tea pouches to make Starbucks look like a joke.
Four stars to Mighty Leaf as it is utterly priced expensive where one can go bankrupt. Good health comes with a hefty price tag.

Mighty Leaf is in general a great tea company. The Organic African Nectar is one of my favorite rooibos blends. Very well balanced. Very tasty. Drink it.

They should change their name to «Might Leaf Pee My Pants» because its that good. Yeah, Yeah, Yeah it’s sooooOOoOoooo expensive but seriously when you try their tea it will knock you on your ass. Also, when you compare it to the price of a Peet’s or Starbucks coffee you are saving a few bucks.
The Rainforest Mate blows my mind! The Green Tea Tropical, African Nector Tea and Chamomile Citris will put your tea tasting palate at a place no other tea can get to. I don’t even know what I just said but trust me they are BOMB.
There is no other tea in the world that comes close to the caliber that is Mighty Leaf. If you are at all interested in elevating the quality of your life you will try Mighty Leaf.
What are you waiting for? GET TO SAFEWAY AND BUY THIS SHIT!

On a recent visit to Elephant Pharmacy in Berkeley, I noticed that they had a respectable collection of tea brands that I hadn’t tried. Among these brands was the glorious and all powerful Mighty Leaf.
Having never tried the brand, and being a fan of many different teas, I purchased the variety pack. My thought was that I would take note of the teas that I liked and didn’t like so I could make a more informed purchase in the future. Well… problem, I LOVE THEM ALL!!! I think I will continue to purchase the variety pack.
Their magical tea bags of happiness (I know what you’re thinking) really are something special! It’s just like having loose tea, only not. Plus, they carry a number of interesting tea combinations that I have not seen elsewhere.
