I bought two gift certificates for facial a while ago and they close their salon since then. BUMMER!
Is there a way I can get a refund???

I bought a groupon for a pedicure and unfortunately broke my toe before I could use it. I called and they said I could extend it 15 days– it didn’t heal in 15 days so they wouldn’t honor it!

I had an awesome experience here. I came for a facial/​massage/​foot rub with a groupon I purchased and all the gals were exceptionally sweet. When I arrived I inquired how long my appointment would be since I parked in a 2 hr lot and the receptionist advised that I park in the garage behind the salon. She predicted that I had already used my change to park in the Walgreens lot that charges until 8pm and gave me quarters to park in the lot behind that stops charging at 6. What a kind gesture! After being offered a glass of wine I was introduced to Cheryl, my aesthetician. My facial with Cheryl was one of the best I’ve ever had, but what I especially liked about her were the great tips she gave for taking care of my skin with homeopathic remedies on a budget. She didn’t pressure me into buying any expensive products I cannot afford! After the facial came the foot rub/​massage with Susan. It was very relaxing and I enjoyed the overall ambience of Paris and good conversation with my aesthetician and masseuse. I plan to go again!

Wow! I LOVE this place! The moment I walked in, no appointment or anything I was greeted in such a friendly manner. The girl with short red hair (dont remember her name) was awesome. Told her I had virgin hair, and I wanted a change. I wanted the «ombré» look. So she said Somebody had a cancellation.
I was seated in less than 10 minutes with Jeff! OMG i love him!!! He did an amazing job on my hair, i’ve gotten so many compliments and the best part it looks natural, which is what I was aiming for! Jeff you rock! :) Def going back!

I started coming here a few months ago and I could not be happier. I see Tori who is an awesome stylist and always does the best highlights! The business is always clean and everyone is always nice and friendly. I have even bought some of my favorite products on sale (that does not happen too often). Iam a happy customer!

I walked inside Paris Salon and Spa because I spotted the travel-​size Bumble and Bumble hair products through the window. They are located towards the front of the store, near the cash register. Each bottle is a bit pricey ($ 8 – 9) but so worth it. I opted for the crème de coco, which smells absolutely delicious.
The staff lady was super helpful and friendly. I told her that I would be attending a festival during the summer and she recommended this dry shampoo, which sounded a bit weird so I opted to just go for the regular shampoo/​conditioner combo.

bought a groupon deal for a deluxe pedicure and shellac manicure and had a good experience. my mani/​pedi was given by Rita. she was super sweet and friendly.
this is more of a higher priced salon offering other services such as haircuts, color, waxing and massages as well. i was offered another deal for the same price if i prebrought the package so that was pretty sweet too,
the only things i would probably change are:
— poor cell service (haha what if u wanna play with your phone?)
— they need more nail colors
— i think rita is the only lady that can do nails and toes so the time slots for appointments are limited
— maybe if the prices were lower i could go more often.
otherwise, i was very happy with my service and any company who uses groupon is smart to know that it will def give them extra business.

Came here for a haircut expecting it to be great after all the wonderful reviews only to be unimpressed with the lack of attention to detail as I had to ask that my cut be better blended rather than just have it look like it was roughly chopped by a rookie. And considering how much they were charging for said choppy cut, not cool! And lastly, the icing on this less than mediocre experience… a $ 65 haircut that’s more of a trim which I had to instruct + a $ 5 tip just cuz I’m a nice person and was in a good mood ended up as a charge on my card for $ 78! Sorry but you don’t get to determine how much I tip you! And you certainly don’t get to charge my card for more than what I agreed to pay. Needless to say I will not be venturing back and I will certainly be calling about that charge first thing tomorrow. So all in all, go at your own risk but if you do I hope your experience is better than mine.

I have done several reviews for a bunch of salons in Marin and I have ranted and raved about how good they are, and this one is by far the best. I have gone in here twice now once for just a cut and now a hair emergency. I got a bright idea to save time and money and attempted to color my own hair. BIG MISTAKE! Not only did the color come out too dark but I missed several areas around my head.
I saw the color specialist Dani and was able to correct my oops, she did such an amazing job. My hair looks natural and not spotty. My hair has a lot of highlights and low-​lights, and it was everything I was hoping for. My hair doesn’t feel like straw and it feels smooth & healthy.
After the color and cut she made my hair exactly how I wanted it to be without even me saying a word which was really kind of cool. Normally after someone has cut and colored my hair they make me leave the salon looking like Martha Stewart, or something but nope. I left looking like myself with a new color! That to me is extremely awesome.
The Salon itself is one of the nicest salons in Marin, its hard to really give a good description of its uniqueness but you’ll see what I am talking about upon arrival. I absolutely love this place and I can’t wait go back. Maybe I’ll start messing up my hair on purpose or something just so I can go back. But most likely not!

Thomas is the best! He takes his time, understands my hair growth/​style, and does an amazing cut. I recently moved over to Marin County and was struggling to find a good stylist… finally did!!!

I can’t say enough good things about Thomas who styles my whole family. He is very good at what he does, as well as, a good listener who most of the time understands what you want better than you do.
It also worth mentioning that he has great, strong hands and gives a really good shampoo scalp and neck massage.
We always walk out both looking and feeling good about ourselves and the overall experience.

My baby was 3 months old and I was feeling yucky so my husband decided to treat me to a triple play at the salon: Facial, massage and haircut and color. Well, Paris was the wrong choice. The woman giving me the facial insulted my skin and went over her alloted time unaware I had numerous appointments scheduled. So the massage (which sucked) was cut short. On to the hair. Well, if you don’t mind a cocky stylist that leaves you with blisters on your scalp then by all means. Oh and the best part was the $ 500 price tag for all the «treats».

Kathleen Hallin at Paris Salon is AMAZING! She has been styling my hair for years and people always stop me and ask me who does my hair. She is an expert with color and her cuts are precision. I always tell her to do what she thinks is right. Trust her! She will will have you walking out looking like a model or a rock star or whatever your dream is.
She would hate this, but ask her to show you her art work. It is stunning. She also does home decorating and has such a naturally creative eye for style and balance. By the way, the salon itself is clean, beautiful and relaxing!

I’m more of a massage girl than a facial girl but decided about 6 months ago that this skin needed some extractions (meaning not me pressed up against the mirror type of extractions). I saw Cheryl/​Sheryl for a mini facial and it was a wonderful experience. She is a total sweetheart! She doesn’t just go about her business without asking your input, nor does she rush you. She gives practical advice for how to keep up your good looking skin. I went back once since then and intend to keep it up. Also, I walked out of the salon each time with skin I presented to the public right then and there (no «typical» redness or making sure any presentable –type– thing I had scheduled was a few days down the line).

BTW… Nina’s just opened up her beautifully remodeled new salon, Bilancio in San Rafael on A between 4^th and 5^th Street. Totally upgraded with «green» design concepts and a nice clean, modern feel to it, it’s the kind of salon you could just lounge around in all day during your fab transformation!

This is two reviews – one for Jenny, the other for the salon.
Jenny gets five stars. I woke up yesterday and decided to chop off my small-​of-​the-​back-​length hair. I found Paris (thank you, Unilocalers) and made an appointment with whoever was available. Lucky for me, I got Jenny. Who has the most amazing hair ever.
I didn’t bring in a photo because I was going to show her a web site. Did the web site load? No, of course not. So Jenny winged it. And you know what? She knocked it out of the park. She listened carefully («I don’t style it daily, don’t make me look like Carol Brady or some emo douchebag»), told me what would work for my hair, and went to town. Awesome talent. I’m always happy to see stylists get creative, cuz the results are usually fantastic. I got an *adorable*, flattering, fun, shoulder-​length ‘do, and I feel like a million bucks.
The salon, however, gets two stars. 1) Read that description up there? The bit about walking into tranquility? Not so much. More like chaos. It’s loud and busy, which makes some people feel all cool and hip. I’d prefer actual tranquility.
2) When I made the appointment, I was quoted $ 65, but the cut cost $ 75. The receptionist was short with me. («Name. Last name. Phone number. Click.»)
3) When you pay $ 75 for a haircut, you expect a certain level of customer service. This was completely lacking here. One of the receptionists… not sure what her problem was, but when you expect the small, usual courtesies like, «Hi, how are you? Jenny will be with you shortly,» and instead get ignored for five minutes, then abruptly shown where the gowns are, then ignored for ten more minutes, it makes you feel like you’ve walked into a Supercuts, and you start wondering why you’re giving these people your money.
Jenny was awesome. Paris Salon? Could use some help.
*****UPDATE******: I recently returned to Paris Salon, and had a much better experience with the overall customer service. So I’m giving them another star.
I saw Jenny again, and again she done me right. I had a photo that we actually didn’t end up using, because once she got me talking about it, it turned out it really wasn’t what I wanted. So, once again, she gave me an awesome, adorable, fun, modern, easy to care for haircut, without even a photo to work from. Go Jenny!

This is a SF-​quality salon in our own back yard!
Go to Elisa Ordoza (formerly Christman) for hair. She’s also a colorist & does hip as well as traditional cuts. Elisa can do curly just as well as straight hair. Everyone I’ve ever referred has turned into a repeat customer. She’s been my girl for nearly 8 years & she’ll be yours forever, too.
See Cheryl for any waxing or lash/​brow tints. She’ll make you feel beautiful & you’ll see lasting results with very little to no pain whatsoever.
There is always a ton of parking in the garage lot between Third & Fourth Street (go up if there’s none on the bottom floor). Remember your quarters for the meter!

Tomm at Paris Salon is wonderful. Not only does he ensure your hair will look great, and will even bring you back to do more work at no charge, if it needs more hilights etc, but he’s entertaining. He’ll keep you laughing and looking good!
I’m so thankful I found this salon, and love going there! Everyone who works there are super nice, and they know how to treat you well :)
Water? tea? Coffee? They are an Aveda and Bumble Bumble salon, and also have a lot of products for sale :)
