Pamela, independent owner and certified groomer, has years of experience grooming a wide variety of dog breeds as well as cats.

She will pamper your pet in a state-​of-​the-​art mobile grooming studio. By taking the time to get to you know your pet and your pet’s specific needs, Pamela can provide the most comfortable, thorough, and relaxing grooming experience possible.

History

Established in 2011.

After working with horses and loving it, I worked for awhile as a care attendant privately, for over six years. Then I decided life is really to short and I went for new career in my 50’s:) Went to Washington to a 8 week course for dog grooming and I have not looked back. Yes, its hard at times yet so rewarding.

I groomed for Aussie Pet of Sausalitio, some may remember Dave. After that I decided to go for it on my own… the rest is history.

I continue to study, and learn as much as I can to be the best I can be:)

I work at Redwood Vet Clinic in Corte Madera two day a week and have access to the vets there at any time for advice or care at any time. Redwood Vet Clinic is own and operated by Dr. Ginnie Manchester, who I highly recommend, the clinic is ran by a group of loving and the kindest women I know.

I have used Pam several times to groom both my dogs and I couldn’t be happier with her work. My long-​haired Doxie gets his usual puppy cut and my 14 year old Aussi cattle mix gets pampered and loved during his de-​shedding.
Pam is loving, compassionate and BUSY. But she always texts me to confirm the appointment or if there is ever a conflict and. Yes, it is more expensive than PetCo but, she comes to my house so they don’t have to go somewhere and sit in a kennel and knows how to groom senior dogs and as such, mine is comfortable and not stressed. She even texted me back to check up on how my senior pooch was doing after a particular scary medical incident.
Truly, a lovely, and caring woman who I would highly recommend.

My 6 year old black lab/​spaniel mix is a nervous nelly and so I have never had her groomed professionally until now. Pamela was so accommodating, showed up on time and was very understanding. She even let me stay with my dog which helped keep her calm. I love the cut and will definitely use her again.

Well she showed up, that’s about all I can say. My standard poodle has never in her 16 years looked so horrible, in addition to the 200+ and up standard poodle rate she has. I wouldn’t recommend this service to anyone with a dog that actually needs a haircut. She also charged me even more because of my location, ridiculous and very unprofessional.

We are so happy with the puppy cut that Pamela gave to our dog, Lucy.
We appreciate her willingness to work with an older dog with with no previous grooming experience. We appreciate her coming to our home, in the hills and working with my wife, Katie, to make sure Lucy was comfortable with the process.
Pamela called us right back, was very punctual and did a great job.

My two Bichons now look like two poodles :(Shaved nose and all. Yuck! And it was an expensive mistake as well. .Cant say that I would recommend this service ever!

I have used this service twice now and it has been amazing. My dog is much less stressed than when she goes to a pet grooming store and I get to get my work done while the van is parked in the driveway.

Pamela is awesome! Che is a 4 months schnauzer and looked absolutely amazing after his first cut. Groomers usually don’t like to give puppies a cut. They say they are too young and won’t stay still. But Pamela took the challenge and nailed it! She’s very patient and kind. Che looked so cute that I cried. I am a happy client. Couldn’t trust anyone else. Thank you so much Pamela!

I had a very positive experience with Pamela, the owner of this business. My dog had very long hair and is elderly and very nervous. She showed up on time, told me up front what the cost would be and returned to me a dog that had been cut exactly how I requested. He seemed barely traumatized at all. I can not say that about most groomers he has gone to in his 14 years. I will be using Joyful Hound again for sure!

After having bad experiences at several pet salons around town, I called Pamela at Joyful Hound. While other groomers told me I’d have to completely shave my long-​haired cat to get rid of the knots in his coat, Pamela was open to different solutions. She was immediately understanding and non-​judgmental.
She skillfully and lovingly cleaned my two cats — definitely the best grooming they have ever received. She was very quick and also gave me a discount.
I will definitely call her again!

Pamela came to our home with her great van and gave our bearded collie and terrier mix an awesome haircut and grooming. I would highly recommend her services and the rapport she has with the dogs. Woohoo is right! I have tried numerous groomers in the bay area for my two American Eskimos but never was completely happy… until today! The Joyful Hound did an absolutely fabulous job and my girls were done in record time. It was so nice to not have to go drop them off and pick them back up hours later. Pam just pulled up to the house in her cool van and went to work. I highly recommend the Joyful Hound!
