Feeney McClaskey & Associates

We had Patrick Feeney prepare our tax return for about 10 years. Last year, though, was a disaster. We didn’t get our return until a few days before April 15, despite repeated phone calls AND despite the fact that we’d handed over our (very well-​organized) tax material in February, when he promised to get it back to us in «a couple of weeks.» We signed our return, wrote a check to Feeney, another to the IRS. Then we found out months later that he’d gotten an extension on our taxes without telling us. Feeney McClaskey had made a $ 1000 error, which the IRS caught and refunded the money. Never again.
A friend had a similar experience with Feeney McClaskey last year: taxes not ready until almost April 15, way after she submitted them, and an extension requested without her knowledge. Plus Feeney McClaskey made a $ 1200 error, which they told her about months later. She had to make repeated phone calls to the State Franchise Tax Board to try to get the refund. Feeney McClaskey did nothing.
