Get It Done Gardening

I wished i had read all the reviews before calling these guys. I had a similar experience like others. The wife Isabella was very nice to shedule the appointment. Her husband William is a joke. He shows up an hour late, never even mentions anything about being late. He investigates the sprinkler issue and tries to figure out the problem. First he mentions about not enough power, which is weird because it was working the day before. Then he fixes it and it had nothing to do with power. His wife had mentioned about the $ 50 charge which i was fine with. He spends less than an hour at my house and then tells me to pay him $ 130. Did not mention anything to me what he is doing whether i am okay with cost. Just comes up and says cut me a check for $ 130. When i tell him that he should discuss the cost with his customers before he does anything he gets all mad. Threatens to leave and how he has to make a living. Then he tells me he can give me $ 10% off so cut him a check for $ 117. I told him i thought it was going to be $ 50 as that was all i had agreed to. Anyways to get him out of my place i write him a check for $ 117. Please do not hire this guy. He has no clue how to do business and how to talk to people. Worst experience ever.

I called them (Isabella, who answers the phone) to give me an estimate for installing new sprinklers and a drip irrigation system at my house, in San Ramon. I rearranged my day to accommodate their schedule (9−10a Saturday), but this guy, William (her husband) showed up late, with no apologies whatsoever.
After showing him the existing (old) system, I asked him what he thinks we should do, and he asks me to schedule another appointment during the week and whether I could take time off to be there. I was puzzled, and asked him what else does he need to do next week, that he is not able to do right now, and his response was that he needs to think more about ideas on what could be done (Weird!!). And then asks me to give him $ 50. I asked him for what?, especially since this was supposed to be a FREE ESTIMATE (which is even stated on his business card that he gave me). He got irritated and tells me that I shouldn’t be telling him how to do his job, and that this is the only way he works. I told him that I haven’t even been given an estimate, so what is the $ 50 for; of course no coherent response… more ranting about how I should not tell him how to do his job.
This entire experience was all very weird to me. First of all, they advertise their services and Free Estimates, and once they show up (LATE), they want a 2^nd appointment, to write up an estimate, and want to bill you for their time showing up. Where is the customer service? Where is the concept of listening to the customer and trying to win their hearts and mind during the initial meeting? I tried calling their business number (925−833−8484) to complain, but no picks up that number.
Stay away from these guys, period!

I needed to get my lawn resodded and called Get It Done Gardening to get a quote. I spoke to Isabella and set up an appointment to have someone come to the house the next day. I took a half day off work and waited at home only to have Isabella call me 5 minutes before the appointment time and tell me that the guy (her husband?) wasn’t in my area that day and he wouldn’t be coming. She said he’d call me to set up another appointment the next time he was in my area. 3 weeks went by with no call so I called them again. We set up another appointment for the next day. I took another half day off work and this time I didn’t even get the courtesy of a phone call to say no one was coming. They just didn’t show up at all. Now when I call their number no one picks up the phone or calls me back.
These guys are very unprofessional. I think they’re lazy, disrespectful, and dishonest.

Called to get an appt. for an estimate on landscaping a small front area between my driveway & my neighbors driveway. When the woman who answered the call asked «who’s yard is it.» I said it was both of ours. She immediately started to hesitate. She asked if the cost would be split. I said yes. She said (with immense hesitation in her voice), «oooook, I will ask the owner but I’m pretty sure he won’t do it with neighbors.» I asked why was that. She said, «it’s just because neighbors have to agree & sometimes they don’t get along and it can just be messy.» I said the neighbors do get along & agree. She said they have to agree on the split of costs too. I said they do!!! I was really put off by the amount if convincing I had to do to even get an estimate. And what do they care if we agree or not, as long as they have 1 overall person responsible for the cost? And why would they assume automatically that it’s «messy». And that we don’t agree??? She is supposed to call me back, but based on the last review, I wonder if she ever will.
