Very happy new client. Kevin fixed my horrible haircut and Alina is super helpful and I love her hair. I was so impressed I even made an apt for my hubby. His hair looks great. Finally found a place that I’m comfortable with and hair stylist who know what they are doing and can cut hair very well. Thank you so much!!!

The best of the best. I went in for a haircut and color. Thao knows the latest trends AND really understand what looks best on everyone (especially on Asian hair). Everyone at this salon (Thao, David, and Kevin) are excellent, trustworthy, and they KNOW what they are doing and talking about. You will be in good hands with any of them!
The cozy and contemporary look of this salon is representative of the modern, updated, and fresh look you will be getting. Everyone I’ve seen walk into this salon comes out looking at least 10x better.
I’ve also gotten a Brazilian Wax and eyelash extensions here. Both were a pleasant experience and loved the end results.
Set up an appointment at Hairagami ASAP! You will not regret it! And you definitely can’t beat the complimentary mimosas, coffee, and tea. Just ask!

I was searching for a local place to get a trim and I came across these amazing Unilocal reviews for Hairagami. Although the price was out of my budget, I decided to really see what this place was all about!
Overall, the haircut was fine. The guy who cut my hair did a good job. But the experience left much more to be desired.
I don’t know hair lingo so as I was trying to describe what I wanted for my hair. But I guess I said the wrong terms and my stylist gave me an attitude and said «you don’t know what you’re talking about.»
He later apologized for snapping at me and tried to make it better by having small talk with me. Throughout the cut he kept asking me again how would I like my hair cut. I didn’t even want to say anything because every time I said something he would disagree or make me feel bad. I mean, at that point, I just shut my mouth and wanted to get the cut over with.
All in all, it’s a clean place, people seem to love it here. The haircut turned out nice. Another reviewer mentioned there was a discount for first timers, but no one said anything and it wasn’t offered (I don’t know if it’s offered to certain people only). $ 50+ for a haircut was a little steep for a trim and to be snapped at. Won’t be back and won’t be recommending this place to others.

Wonderful first experience with Kevin! He has to be the most gentle and meticulous hairstylist I have ever had the pleasure of working with. It had been months since my last haircut and I knew I was in dire need of an update! He was so gentle with my hair I kept falling asleep the entire time! He listened to my needs, gave me an analysis of my hair and kept making sure he wouldn’t cut my hair any shorter than I wanted. (Although I was okay with having inches off) I’m thinking this is great for those who really are terrified of having even half and inch cut off. He really seems to care about how you look when you walk out of the salon. The salon was super clean and inviting, the wash station chairs (?) were incredibly comfortable and everyone in there was friendly. I will be back, 100%

David is the best hair colorist! He is very detailed and is a perfectionist. I’ve been to 4 stylist in the past two years and no one has been able to give me the color i ask for. David is patient and he actually listens to what I am saying so he perfected the color. I will come back for sure. This place is a hidden gem in san ramon.

I was in dire need of a haircut before the new year. None of the salons I’ve been to previously had any availability until after the new year. After researching and reading the reviews of Hairagami Salon, I decided to give them a shot.
I called on a Monday to setup an appointment; they were able to see me right away. Throughout my appointment, my stylist, Kevin was super nice and accommodating. He didn’t rush through my haircut and color — balayage.
I’m super happy about the results (it’s been a week and a half since my appointment) and definitely plan to return in the near future.

I’m a first time customer and I recently got a haircut here from Kevin. Just to be honest I usually really dread haircuts. I have had so many bad haircuts over the years that I wait the longest possible time before I go back to the salon.
But this place was a dream. Kevin was both friendly and efficient. He listened to exactly what I wanted, looked at my hair, and then gave me exactly what I wanted. It was a no muss no fuss experience and my hair looks great. It’s very rare for me to find a stylist who understands hair and pays attention to what I want, so I really recommend this salon to everyone!

First off, fair warning! I don’t cut my hair very often… but that’s because I am pretty picky about where I go. I haven’t been to a place more than once in the last 5 years.
When I first walked towards the shop, I can already see warm smiles and am struck by the simple pretty layout. Modern chic at its finest.
Now for the actual purpose of this review. The coloring was done impeccably and the cut is totally awesome. I would go back on this alone.
However, the cherry on top is their customer service. They treat you very well, constantly checking in to make sure you are comfy (for those that don’t know… high lights and what not take awhile) and making sure you are hydrated with whatever you prefer.
I give this place a solid 5 stars and will make the long drive here any day :)

I love the service (I got a same day appointment). I wasn’t too sure or clear on what I wanted, but they totally delivered far better than I could explain. I was given a dry cut (which I have never gotten before, and it was so perfect). I also requested ombré hair, which I got and totally love the colour! Highly recommend this place. I paid around $ 250 for a haircut, ombré, and purchased a Moroccan hair serum thing. (a little pricey than what I personally am used to, but it’s totally worth it!!!).

This review is for Kevin. He was able to take me in the same day for appointment and it was a pleasure to get my hair cut by him. He was able to fix my previously messed up haircut and blend my layers perfectly. Just had to show him pictures and he knew exactly what to do. Easy to talk to, paid attention to details, and explained the cut and what he was doing throughout the process. Definitely coming back.

Lina is amazing!!! I came in for hairstyle and makeup. Lina uses high-​end makeup. I have sensitive skin and was afraid to clog my pores so I brought my own makeup just in case but she has everything! I was so impressed! Very friendly and she is amazing! She didn’t try to sell me any services that I didn’t need. I will come back for sure!

Me and my boyfriend went here for the first time as he is trying to find the perfect place where he could get his hair done and we were surprised by how great the result and the service is!!! Really awesome!!! Kevin was really great with details and would let you know how you like it before he cut your hair any more shorter. We’ll be making appointments with him in the future!

I was able to get a same-​day appointment for eyelash extensions with Thao this past weekend. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect as it was my first time getting them and I had never been to this salon — I was pleasantly surprised :) Thao was great — very kind, great conversation and she did an amazing job on my eyelashes (plus an eyebrow wax). I will definitely be coming back!

Very nice first time client visit experience. (First impressions are everything)
My stylist (David?) listened to my hair cut needs, the autotomy of my hair and how certain past bad cuts failed. A lot of times communication is key with haircuts and I’m glad the stylist collaborated with me to achieve a cut that I’m both comfortable and happy with (I’m not a risk taker when it comes to cutting). I was drawn to this location due its Unilocal pictures. I am very particular when it comes to finding a competent stylist who knows how to handle my thick, unruly, mind-​of-​its-​own hair. Based on the Unilocal pictures of other client’s hair, it gained my confidence. This salon is clean, refreshed and open.
Pros:
* Usage of high-​end hair products such as Moroccan Oil.
* My stylist kindly offered me a 20% first time client discount that I was unaware of.
* We discussed how I envisioned my hair to be cut versus what the he thinks complements me. He was very kind to point out not to frame layers around my face too much due the shape of my face.
* Fair price of $ 50 for female long hair cut
* Sweet girl who answered the phone and booked my appointment
* Plenty of parking in the shopping center (near Chevys)
* My whole session involved cutting, then wash and blow dry. (I think curling iron & fancy blow out cost extra). I appreciated that he washed my hair after the cut, so I don’t go home with tiny hair poking through my cloth.
Cons: none. I shall go back.

I have been extremely happy with my hair color, cut, and style. Even my daughters love coming here.

AWESOME!!! I love my hair color. I came into Hairagami because I needed a professional to fix my hair. I needed a color correction badly,(horizontal orange hair with super black roots) I needed help. David is AWESOME he was able to accomplish the ashy color I wanted as well as getting rid of the dreaded Asian orange hair that I had. Hairagami is very relaxing and inviting. I was offered Water or coffee when I was pampered. I will be coming back.

I’ve been going to David for 6 years now and I can’t be happier. I took me 30 years to find him and I have followed him through 3 salons already.
Give him a shot and you won’t be disappointed.

When it comes to my hair, I am very ridiculously meticulous about it and am very hard to please. I’ve gone to Hairagami twice now and have never been happier.
I love the interior of the salon, starting with the rustic furniture pieces to the organic succulent wall art. Every single item was done with taste and collectively creates a soothing ambiance and spa like atmosphere. To me, how a salon presents itself says a lot about its quality and service. I was even offered a complimentary glass of mimosa to make my experience much more enjoyable.
A little background on my hair: I’ve had my air dyed black for about five years and recently wanted to return to color. I’ve had a specialist attempt to strip my black hair and to no avail. My first appointment with David, he was able to lighten my hair and even out my coloring along with a nice trim. My second appointment was with Alina, she started off by cutting my hair shorter to try and take off as much of my black dyed hair as possible. She then gave me ombré highlight at the tips and colored the rest with no. 6 dye. David finished off with a blowout and I couldn’t be happier. My hair was soft, silky, and very vibrant after all the treatment.
The remainder of my day consisted of compliments from my neighbors and friends; I felt fabulous and was basking in all the glory.

I REALLY WANTED TO LOVE THIS PLACE, but it just didn’t work out. I NEVER had problems with hair color bleed from a salon the passed 6 years of dyeing my hair. I washed my hair 8 times, and IT IS STILL COLOR BLEEDING. This is so ridiculous.
DO NOT GET YOUR HAIR DYE HERE unless you want your bathroom all colorful. My bathroom mats and towels are all red right now.

Having lived in the east bay for 2 years, I’ve finally found a salon I would go back to. I was a hot mess in desperate need of change. They took their time, and made sure I was happy with my color and cut. And to top it off, they offer 20% for first time clients. Definitely coming back come spring time
