IMX Pilates Studio

IMX Pilates is great for your strength and cardio. I highly recommend it! I had an oblique workout today and boy was it great :)

I would recommend the classes for those who are looking for a complete body workout. It was my first time trying their machine, the IM=X Reformer, and it was a good experience. Josh, the instructor and owner, was very professional and helpful.

Love this place. Instructors are so helpful and encouraging and the classes are killer!

Timberly, Josh and all the instructors at IMX Pilates in San Ramon are there to ensure you have the best possible workout. They push your limits, but not to the point of injuring yourself. They always keep in mind that there can be newbies as well as veteran students in the class.

I have been taking spin classes here for two months now and along with healthy clean eating Ive lost 12lbs (210 to 198) and 4% of body fat (21% to 17%).
Today was a perfect example. Taking instructor Cassidy’s (she’s awesome/​motivating) class I burned 533 calories in only 40 minutes (and your talking to a person that HATES cardio (I don’t like to walk fast).
Josh, the owner, has takeen time out of his busy schedule on several occasions to offer me both tips and encouragement. Another instructor there, Timberly, has given me invaluable nutrition/​meal planning advise.
So if you don’t mind living longer, healthier, and being in the best shape of your life… give them a try…

Update review:
I’ve been a member now for 7 months. I still love it! My daughter has now joined. There are about 10ish mother/​daughters that go together. Some of the girls are in their early/​mid teens and others are adults (mine is 20 but she’s still my baby.) There are a handful or so husband/​wife duos and lots of friends. The best part is that everyone there from the owners, instructors & members are all very welcoming & kind. I have met quite a few people that I now call my friends. This is my happy place :)
Back to business, they now offer Spin & Zumba classes. I’m not personally a Zumba gal but I have a feeling I will be soon. I LOVE Spin. Pilates & Spin are the perfect combination. My daughter & I go at least 3x a week but more like 4 – 5.

I just completed my first week. It’s so much fun that I made it 5 times. I’m 40+ and just had a baby 4 weeks ago. I am definitely out of shape and in need of a motivating workout.
There are 8 students/​machines per class. Classes are offered from 6am — 6:30pm. There are 4 instructors. I’ve worked with 2, Timberly & Colleen, they are both great. I’ve seen people of different ages and sizes taking the classes so it’s great for all levels.
I signed up for unlimited classes. There’s an app you can download to sign up, change or cancel classes easily. It tracks your history & schedule. It also imports your schedule into your calendar. It’s great!
So far so good. I will update after a month. Hopefully I will still be excited and will start seeing & feeling results.

Good workout… friendly people… some kinks still need to be worked out as a new business, but it was good enough for us to reward them with ongoing business for the next 6 months.

My mother’s addicted to Pilates. I couldn’t believe it until I saw it for myself. I went to a complimentary class and saw what my mother has found in this studio. The pace of the classes conform to level of experience of the participants. I was lucky to have experienced Josh– one of the owners. My mom is a beginner; I’ve been actively exercising for 5 years — but we both got a fabulous workout!

I joined IMX Pilates Studio a few months ago-​! I am so impressed with the staff and their enthusiasm. I have not exercised on a regular basis in a few years, and now I finally found a program that I really enjoy and that I am seeing results fast! Not only are the teachers great, but I am meeting a lot of fun and friendly people in my class. The times are flexible, which is great, since I work a lot. and really need the flexibility. I highly recommend this Pilates studio– great for all levels of fitness… men and women!

I dont work out and the only physical activity I do is taking care of my 10 month old. Given my inexperience, I decided to try a private lesson first to see if this was going to be just another thing I tried and hated without wasting a lot of money. But i loved it! it was fun and surprisingly not as difficult as I thought but it gave me a total body workout. My arms, abs and legs were the good sore today and i am excited to go back! I think if you’re a beginner you should start with one or a few private lessons so you don’t get discouraged because there is a lot going on at once but its definitely worth it! The owner, Josh was awesome !

I was introduced to this studio by a friend of mine, and decided to give it a try. I am so happy I did. I was unsure at first because I live in San Leandro and this studio is in San Ramon. But it was so worth it! From the very first trial class, I was HOOKED! The owners are extremely cool and down to earth, the trainers, Colleen, Timberly and Josh you are all so amazing at working each and every muscle during each class. I’ve been going 3−4x a week for 3 weeks and have dropped 7 lbs. It’s really addicting. I don’t think I’ve ever had a program where i have seen results so fast! I feel good inside and out. I definitely am more confident and have more energy. I’M HOOKED. I look forward to each class.

Great workouts in a fast paced environment. Have been doing Pilates reformer at a different studio for over 1 ½ years but IMX Pilates San Ramon has now taken my workouts to a new level!

One of the best reformer studios I have ever been to! The owners and staff are so knowledgable and friendly. The classes are challenging but still easy to follow, I have never worked so hard at a Pilates studio until I started attending classes here. I can’t wait to start seeing results and I am sure that will be soon! And on top of having these amazing classes their prices and class times can be beat

This new Pilates studio is great! Very knowledgable owners and staff! Brand new reformers, multiple class times and easy-​to-​use online signup. They have a «Grand Opening» offer of $ 99/​unlimited one month so it was perfect for my husband and I to try Pilates. We both love the «complete body workout» it provides. If you haven’t tried Pilates (or even if you have) I would strongly encourage you to take advantage of this great offer and check out this new studio.

I came across this studio shortly after they opened, after hearing great things about it from a coworker. I don’t consider myself to be very athletic, and I have been pretty out of shape since having a baby a few years ago. I was really reluctant to take an exercise class, but I wanted to find something that would help me tone my body for my upcoming wedding.
I attended a free trial class, and I was so surprised by how much I loved it! The studio is beautiful, and everything looks clean and new. The classes take place in a room with several Pilates reformers, which were originally intimidating, but surprisingly easy to use. I felt like the class worked muscles I haven’t worked in years. I had the pleasure of taking a class instructed by Josh, the owner. He’s really friendly, and supportive, but isn’t afraid to make you work.
I’ve now been going for two weeks, and feel amazing! I have so much energy, and I already feel my body getting stronger. I highly recommend this studio for anyone interested in taking a high quality exercise class.

After seeing a banner advertising the grand opening this weekend I decided to drop by and see their set up. The Pilates studio is large and filled with plenty of equipment. I met with John (owner) who told me about their classes. I signed up on the spot and stayed to do a class. I’m 57 years old, 40+ lbs overweight and have not worked out in over a year. The instruction I received from John allowed me to fully benefit from the workout. I feel like I used every muscle in my body. I’m so glad I went here today. I signed up on their special for unlimited classes and looking forward to going back tomorrow. I would highly recommend this location to anyone serious about getting results.
