Founder and backbone of Waterman Chiropractic Center, Dr. Brent Waterman received his doctorate of Chiropractic from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic, with honors, in 1979, and has maintained an active chiropractic practice in the San Ramon Valley for over 29 years. He became a board Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician in 1984. Dr. Waterman has provided chiropractic assessment and treatment at over 25 Mustang soccer tournaments. He was the official Sports Doctor for the Monte Vista High School Men’s Soccer League, Mustang Soccer League, Pro-​Beach Volleyball, Women’s Champion State Cup Soccer, and numerous high school and organized athletic programs.

Dr. Waterman has a 25 year member and 5 time «Danville Lion Of The Year». Doc has been an instructor and lecturer to chiropractors, sports medicine classes teaching prevention, and awareness of onsite sports injuries. Dr. Waterman was a three term President of the California Chiropractic Association for Contra Costa County.

I highly recommend Waterman Chiropractic and Dr. Devin. The staff and the doctors are all compassionate people who strive to give their patients not only outstanding service, but an overall better quality of life. They genuinely care about their patients and their well being and it shows through their practice.
I’ve seen a chiropractor for most of my life and didn’t realize the level of care and expertise I had been missing out on until I started seeing Dr. Devin.
Despite seeing a chiropractor and getting massages regularly, I was still having pain and discomfort in my neck with little to no relief. I finally decided to look past the distance and traffic, and take my friends advice and schedule an appointment.
After my first adjustment with Dr. Devin I felt a huge sense of relief and euphoria I had never previously experienced from an adjustment. Not only did he provide an excellent personalized adjustment for my needs, he also recommended equipment and exercises to strengthen and stabilize my neck. My neck has never felt better or stronger and pain in the rest of my body subsided as well.
I have recommended them to everyone I know because I want my friends and loved ones to experience the awesome care that I have received at Waterman Chiropractic.

We are so happy to have been referred to Waterman chiropractic! Both myself and my kids have been helped with chiropractic as well as treatment for our hypersensitivities, or allergies. I injured my back which resulted in a herniated disc. My Kaiser MD put me on tons of medicines (6 total) to control the pain and inflammation. I sought out chiropractor care to correct the cause and made an appointment 4 days out. When I went in to the office to sign paperwork, Chris at the front desk noticed my limping and said I needed to be seen right away. She squeezed me in the next day, and I was seen by Dr. Devin Waterman. I did not know how bad a shape I was in until he did a full exam on me. I had right-​sided weakness (along with the pain of acute sciatica). Dr. Waterman immediately provided care and even saw me later in the day to start spinal decompression. I felt extremely taken care of and confident that his team will do whatever is necessary to get me back to walking and back to work. Also, the fees were very reasonable! Dr. Waterman earned my complete trust and confidence in his skills and deserves high praise!

My 13 year– old daughter began seeing Dr. Devin for a back injury/​strain in 2015. After his successful treatment with her, she is now able to continue her two favorite activities, CrossFit and pitching (softball). She not only is back to full activites, but what is most wonderful, is the education my daughter recieved on how to prepare & recover herself with her active lifestyle (ie. rolling out exercises & proper stretching).
From my personal experience, I am also a success story of Dr. Devin. In April of 2015, I injured my shoulder after a bicycle fall and pretty much lived with a «frozen shoulder.» The pain from this injury radiated to my neck and lower back and I essentially couldn’t lift my left arm, to do the simplest things in my daily life. I stopped going to the gym and could feel my overall health and wellness spiral downwards. I was convinced that chiropractic care would in «no way» help my symptoms due to my high level of pain. And, I honestly believed that due to my high pain level, what I really needed was some type of surgical repair.
I quickly (after 1 – 2 vists) responded to Dr. Devin’s adjustments and therapy; the only pain I have to my shoulder is the «good pain» after a CrossFit WOD!
I honestly feel I made the best decision with my health to go to Dr. Devin. If you have any doubt, DON’T. You deserve the best health and wellness possible. Seeing Dr. Devin, who spends the time with you, is a decision you will will be happy you made!

Doctor Devin and the entire office are amazing. Years of strenuous crossfiting had left my body with much to be worked on. I have had rheumatoid arthritis for about 30 years and thought pain was just part on my life. I was having trouble sleeping and decided to try chiropractic. I was lucky to choose Waterman Chiropractic and find Dr. Devin, who is just amazing. He has tremendously helped me to improve my quality of life. He is an awesome doctor and I has made me a believer in chiropractic care.

We brought our 10 week old son in to begin an adjustment regimen. At 2 weeks old baby Jayden began showing constant signs of distress. He spent the entire day crying, fussing, stiff and uncomfortable. He didn’t sleep at all except the odd short cat nap in mommys arms once he exhausted himself. He had difficulty nursing for any longer than 3 minutes. His BMs were liquid and seemed painful for him to pass. He never seemed happy and it broke our heart.
We tried everything to soothe baby Jayden: walks, bouncing in my arms, dim lighting throughout the home, calming music, white noise, soothie pacifier, car rides, constant nursing on demand, never setting him down, holding his in a wrap and in a structured carrier. We were on a constant loop of soothing baby while he screamed and cried for no known reason until he was so exhausted he fell asleep for a few short moments just to wake, eat, and begin the cycle again of figuring out how to soothe my poor, helpless, very upset little guy.
IF THIS SOUNDS LIKE YOUR BABY, PLEASE DO YOUR BABY AND YOURSELF A SERIOUS JUSTICE AND GO VISIT WATERMAN CHIROPRACTIC!
After one visit, my son was able to relax his limbs by his sides in a content position for the first time (before he was constantly «wound up tight» keeping his arms flexed and tucked in tight against his trunk and legs pulled up into his abdomen clearly showing discomfort and stress).
After the second visit, baby Jayden gained full rotation of his neck in order to explore his world all around him (we hadn’t noticed before that he basically only looked to the right and occasionally straight forward). Also, a miracle happened. He started taking naps during the day… big ones…2−3 hour ones. Whoa! With the naps came smiles and happiness and a much more relaxed, calm baby boy. After this second visit he RARELY cried. Also, he began sleeping 10 – 12 hours a night.
I am crying while I write this review because my baby can finally be a baby now all thanks to Dr. Devin and his gentle, yet effective little baby adjustments he’s done for Jayden that have been successful in treating his neurological stress. Yay! I only wish I had brought him in sooner. I feel so bad that I didn’t! Poor little guy suffered unnecessarily for all of those weeks.

Since Dr. Waterman was the first chiropractor I ever tried, I never realized just how good of a chiropractor he was. When I started going to him I was living in the Bay Area but then I moved to Davis to attend the university there. So, I started seeing another chiropractor that charged around the same amount for services, but he wasn’t nearly as good. I continued going just because it was very convenient but one day while he was trying to adjust my neck there was no crack.
He instead strained my neck muscles and jammed my vertebrae which left me in great pain, tingling down my left arm and much discomfort. My left arm for a week after was more than a few degrees colder than my right and I was doing my best to restrain any motion to the area. A few days into this I knew that I was in need of an emergency adjustment and I had to see Dr. Waterman because he was the chiropractor that I knew for sure could help me and return my neck back to normal. I contacted him on his cellphone and he instantly got back to me asking questions about the situation and my symptoms and immediately told me to make an appointment with him. At the time he was at a conference out of the area, so he actually went out of his way to see me a day later on a Saturday as soon as he returned from the conference. And within 1 – 2 days after he adjusted me, I was completely normal again. Just like that.
So, not only is he an amazingly skillful chiropractor that has consistently helped my lower back and neck, he is also a chiropractor that is willing to go out his way to make sure his patients get the help they deserve. If it’s an emergency, he will make exceptions and adjust a patient even if it’s on the weekend. Now I know that if I am in dire need of some chiropractic help I can count on him and his expertise.

I am a photographer and I am on my feet day in and day out. Recently, I developed lower back pain which led to tightness and now, pain down my right leg. I have always heard great things about Chiropractors, so I decided to hit up Unilocal and find the «best» one out there. When I did a simple search, first thing that popped up with excellent 5 stars review was Dr Waterman’s clinic. I didn’t hesitate and booked my first appt with them.
My first meeting was very informative. The clinic is super clean and well organized. Dr Devin Waterman was friendly, funny and most of all, welcoming. The ladies at the front desk were super knowledgable about this practice and most of all, they have great smiles! I love that!
I have been going to Dr Waterman for approximately 3 weeks now. I am slowly feeling better and I am learning about what I need to do to make my situation improve. Each time I walk into the office, it’s like seeing friends. Dr Devin Waterman is so nice and approachable. He’s like a buddy that I’ve known for years! We talk, we joke, and of course, he makes a few adjustments each time I see him.
Please note that Dr Waterman’s office doesn’t accept insurance. However, his fees are reasonable compared to chiros that take insurance! At first, it was a bit of a concern for me, but after coming here for 3 weeks, I really don’t care anymore because what’s the most important thing you want from a doctor? You want to feel good and feel taken care of. Dr W’s office does ALL that!

I have the highest regard for Dr. Brent Waterman and his staff. While visiting from San Diego, I needed an adjustment for old back injuries. I was surprised and happy to speak to Dr. Waterman on the phone about my situation. He called my usual chiropractor to find out what treatment I had been receiving, amazing me with his willingness to go the extra mile for me, a new, and temporary patient. After two visits, I feel a great deal of pain relief. I have follow-​up exercises to do at home. Although distance makes it impossible to get continuing care here, I will return if needed when I am in the area again.

I was recently in a car accident and have had back, knee, digestion problems and trouble sleeping. I have been seeing Dr. Devin Waterman for treatment. He is fantastic and a miracle worker. I have always had digestive issues and since I started treatment, I have seen a 360 degree turn around in symptoms. I am feeling like a new person. I am actually sleeping through the night with less wake-​ups too. This is all happening in a very short amount of time. Thank you Dr Devin for helping me get my life back. I am looking forward to feeling normal through future treatments.

Waterman Chiropractic has literally changed my life! I don’t even know how to begin to thank Dr. Devin for making me feel like a whole new person!
Two months ago I started feeling constant pain in upper back as well as my neck. I woke up one morning and could not turn my head and was in an incredible amount of pain. A colleague of mine, who has been a patient of Dr. Devin for years, recommended that I go and see him. Doing so has been one of the best decisions I have made in my entire life!
I have been seeing Dr. Devin twice a week for roughly the past six weeks. The pain and my neck dissipated after 4 – 5 adjustments. Now, I am virtually pain free. I never realized that I was living with constant pain and discomfort. Chiropractic care has been my personal miracle. Not only am I pain-​free, I have increased energy and I am sleeping better. I went from waking up 3 – 4 times a night to going to bed at night and waking up to my alarm in the morning. I cannot remember the last time that happened!
I have scoliosis (with a pretty significant curvature and spinal rotation) and a slew of semi-​healed injuries form years of half marathons and tough mudders. Even though I am by no means ‘old’, I have started feeling the side effects of the scoliosis and sports related injuries more and more over the past couple of years. In addition to everything mentioned above, I have notice a decrease in the rotation of my spine, I stand up straighter, breathing while running is easier, I have more mobility in my mid/​upper back, shoulders, and chest, and I am better able to tolerate sitting at my desk all day at work. The progress I have made in the past six weeks is truly astonishing.
Dr. Devin and Dr. Waterman are amazing. Although I primarily see Dr. Devin, I have been adjusted by both. The office staff is equally amazing and friendly. Currently, my two favorite days of the week are the days I go to Waterman Chiropractic for my adjustments. I thank my colleague every day for recommending Waterman Chiropractic!

Wow!!! Where do I begin?
I had a baby 8 weeks ago and my body has just felt completely off since giving birth. I had done what I could at home and after a little hesitation (I had never been to a chiropractor) I decided to see if Dr. Devin could help. I am SO grateful I gave it a try. I walked in with back, ankle, neck and hip pain and I literally walked out an hour later feeling like I was floating on a cloud with zero pain!!!
The staff is so incredibly nice. I had to bring my 8 week old baby with me and they were so sweet offering to help out with her if I needed it. When I walked in they all greeted us and couldn’t have been more sweet!
Dr. Devin took an hour with me explaining everything in detail and made sure at all times I was comfortable. He did an amazing job adjusting me (he even adjusted the baby who loved it)!
I truly can’t say enough wonderful things about my experience here. For any new moms or pregnant moms, do yourself a favor and take time to see Dr. Devin I am telling you it’s better than a massage (and I get those every month)! Can’t wait for my next appointment.

I have been seeing Dr. Devin Waterman on a regular weekly basis for almost a year now. And if I wasn’t a believer in chiropractic care before, I definitely am now. I was training for the Chicago marathon last year (2014) and was having some moderately annoying piriformis pain. A literal pain in the butt that would not go away no matter how many fancy leg lifts and bends or pigeon form stretching (thanks to YouTube!) I would do. Now, the pain did not go away immediately, even after 12 weeks of treatment (bad running form perhaps?), but it definitely was less distracting during my 20+++ mile/​3+++ hour long training runs.
I finished the Chicago marathon upright (hooray!!) and don’t remember much, if any, of piriformis soreness post run. I have continued to see Dr. Devin because of other running related issues that have popped up as I continue to log those miles and I will say that the piriformis is no longer an issue!
I am very pleased. I have also taken all three of my boys (age 3, 5, & 7) to be evaluated by Dr. Devin and he was super gentle with them during their adjustments.

UPDATE: So I moved from Southern California to Oakland in October of 2014 and have been continuing Nano SRT treatment with Dr. Waterman and I feel like a completely different person. After 8 months of continuous treatment I can absolutely say that this is no fluke or placebo. I feel so different in fact that my doctors have lowered the dosages on my mood stabilizers tremendously and I literally cannot remember the last time I have felt the need to take any of my anxiety medication.
Dr. Waterman has truly changed my life in a way where I actually want to experience it and if anybody can relate to any of what I have to say you owe it to yourself to try at least one session because it WILL improve your life.
P. S. I feel so good and stress free these days that sometimes my face hurts from smiling so much (true story).

If you are looking for a chiropractor that cares about you as an individual and will work with you regarding your health, then I highly recommend Waterman Chiropractic Center. I was fortunate enough to shadow both Dr. Devin and Dr. Brent for a morning, and I must say, I was very pleased with the amount of attention they provided towards their patients. Building a relationship with their patients is the key to their success. Both will take the time to sit with you and explain what is happening to your body with simple analogies until you understand and create a plan of care with you. Every time I was introduced to a patient, everyone repeated the same thing, «I have come a long way and it’s all thanks to this guy.» Listening to the amount of progress the patients made within two weeks was incredible.
All in all, if you are looking for someone that truly cares about your health and want to leave the office with a smile, Waterman Chiropractic Center is the place to be at!

I can’t say enough good things about this practice. One day I looked on Unilocal and saw all the five star reviews and thought I had nothing to lose, so I made an appointment. I literally hobbled into the office one day, desperate for my life back. Fighting back the tears in my first meeting with Dr. Devon, I felt so hopeless. I was at the end of my rope with nowhere else to turn. Who knew that two months later I would feel so much better!
Dr. Devon is thorough and so kind in dealing with people who are in a lot of pain. Having been through so many surgeries including cervical, two knee replacements and a host of other surgeries, the adjustments and myofacial release have been a godsend for me.
In addition, I understand so much more about my body now. Having been told for years by MD’s that I had fibromyalgia and getting «the looks» as if it was all in my head, FINALLY I found someone who understood what I was going through and gave me hope for my future. I now realize I have food sensitivities that I had not realized and that I was eating completely toxic. My health has drastically improved from my new healthy way of eating in addition to the healing adjustments. I have infinitely more energy and a much more positive outlook on life.
Dr. Devon has a sign in one of his exam rooms (his quote) that says «Health is by Choice not by Chance». I am a believer!

There are just not enough words to express the feelings of gratefulness that I have for the help that I received from Dr. Brent Waterman! I’ve suffered with anxiety disorder for most of my life and that’s over 50 years. I’ve been on various medications but couldn’t endure the side affects that went along with them so gave up.
Thank you Dr. Brent for caring enough to take the time to properly evaluate me and provide what I now know to be a viable and highly effective treatment! Just one adjustment and two sessions on the Nano SRT and I’m still overwhelmed by how much better I feel. The prevailing thought that ran thru my mind upon completion of just my first session with the Nano was…“this must be how people feel that are balanced and normal”. It’s as though I’ve been given a second chance and can actually enjoy the moment that I’m in. Dr. Brent doesn’t stop with simply an adjustment or the Nano SRT.
