The gentleman behind the counter Adam (their piercer) was the only reason we stayed. The other staff was short, rude and not really interested in us being there. My husband and I were getting tattoos on our ring fingers for our anniversary.
The guy who did it was heavy handed and mine blurred and scarred. My husbands was faded within a week and part of the lettering was missing. I know finger tattoos can fade easily but it was just all around a mess. The tattooist was dirty, and short. His girlfriend or wife showed up mid tattoo and he ignored us to speak with her. Considering it wasn’t a long tattoo she could have probably waited fifteen minutes.
Needless to say we won’t be going back unless it’s to get a piercing by Adam or just go chat with him. They really need to figure out better staffing and how to treat customers.

I went in for an appointment with Dan Tapley. I wasn’t sure yet what ideas we were going to come up with at that time. I called ahead and made a reservation, they took a $ 60 deposit which is normal. When I arrived Dan said let’s start him off with a hour and a half, so I had to pay another $ 120 upfront, normally you pay after your session. I was now $ 180 invested with no work done what so ever. Dan and I went to his room and worked on ideas. When we couldn’t come up with anything I decided hey lets take time and figure out a better more prepared game plan for another time. We both agreed and I left his office. I went to the receptionist and asked for my $ 120 back and they could keep the $ 60 until next time as my deposit. She talked to the owner and all I heard was we don’t give refunds. I was very irritated, I would understand if I actually had work done but nothing was tattooed. They said the money can be credited towards future work, but with management like that I really would prefer not to go back so now basically they are just stealing $ 180 from me for absolutely nothing. Nothing against Dan he does awesome work, just bad ownership of the establishment. Once again keep my deposit but they have no right to the other $ 120 when no work was done.
In response to your below reply, I’d like to say that I feel it is a little tacky to continually ask people to remove their reviews. You signed up for a Unilocal account, you knew this was a possibility on a review site. Nothing in it was negative about anything personal on your staff’s behalf, simply a policy issue. Yes I signed your contract, so perhaps that is my fault, but I didn’t expect to not get any work done and pay $ 180 for it. I also don’t remember mentioning that «I had bills to pay», but even if I did, was that a necessary point to bring up? Furthermore, do you legitimately feel that it is a valuable and honest business policy to take $ 180 for zero work (I’ll say $ 120 since I understand the deposit being kept) and expect a customer to feel comfortable coming back in the future to use it? Would it really have devastated your business that much to give me back that $ 120 30 minutes after I gave it to you? Lastly, you mention in your reply that you need to know by the end of the week if and when I’d like to use that $ 180 credit in the future. Was there an expiration date concerning «future credit» deposits in the contract I signed? I do not remember seeing a 1 week policy regarding credited money. I will not take my review down because it was my honest opinion of my experience that day, I even complimented one of your artists, who didn’t even tattoo me, and the fact that you asked me to take it down (and others as I saw on here) makes me feel more validated to keep this review up.

Went in today for piercing. Adam thank you! He’s your guy if your wanting a piercing. He put in new jewelry for my tragus piercings. Then I got my first of three Helix piercings. Adam was just the nicest guy, and such a professional!

Very disappointed. I went in for a pretty basic & simple tattoo with not much detail & the lines are All crooked & coloring it not consistent. I will have to pay all over again just to get it fixed… IF it’s even possible. I’m so embarrassed of something I paid so much to make beautiful.

Becoming a tattoo connoisseur is a long process. Really. I’ve had apprentice work, bad artists, mediocre artists. And some great artists whose heads were too big for their own good. The coolest point comes when you find an artist that values the piece of art and the result JUST As much as you do. When you can look at a piece and just be in complete awe at how «you» it is and how amazing that the beauty is on your body. When you struggle to wait the proper healing time, because you don’t want to wait to see what the artist will do next. And you know you will leave the shop feeling more like yourself than you have in years. Thank you Jarris Vonzombie. Let’s heal these suckers so we can finish these socks. You have restored a part of me that was missing for a long time during our medical struggles.

I’ve been coming to this tattoo shop for over a year now and have 2 tattoos from Jarris Vonzombie himself! Let me tell you, they won’t be the last. Jarris is very skilled in realism style tattoos. Give him a picture and he can recreate it on your skin! He recenlty did a rising phoenix on my upper thigh, and it turned out amazing! He also did some ink on a friend of mine, and she is very happy with her fairy and dragon tattoos. They have other artists here that specialize in other styles as well, and everything i’ve seen come out of that place is amazing! If you are looking for an artist who cares about thier work, and quality aftercare… GO TO VON ZOMBIE TATTOO!!!

I just got my bellybutton repierced here, they were very clean and professional. They were very thorough about going over the procedure, and what I needed to do to keep from getting an infection. I absolutely loved the captain America Tat!!!

Best tattoo shop I’ve been in. Awesome staff, great artists, best tattoo I’ve gotten yet. Strongly recommend going here for any type of tattoo, they seem to cater to any type of request. Can’t wait to go back!
