Stayed for 4 days in this shitty hotel. covers and sheets are in a miserable condition and management were very rude! Be aware of the house keeping and lock your stuff. At the check out they said that there was a damage in the bed cover (¼ inch circle which was very obvious from cigarette burn), knowing that we don’t smoke and have babies, and the manager there Julia said that it could be from ironing! Really!!! This small!!!
I doubt that they got this bed cover from our room even, it’s just a way to collect money from customers, charged me for $ 75 for something I’ve never done!!! Be careful!

Just like everyone else they tried to say I tore a towel. They had not even checked the room. After some back and forth they obliged. Crooks.

Worse experience of my life. They lied about a million things and still charged me for my room even though we didn’t stay there. I

Made me a guest go back up and wash it by hand to avoid the $ 20 charge for a wash cloth.

Threatened to call the cops because I refused to pay for the $ 20 wash cloth.
The general manager a she. was very un professional.

DONT STAY HERE! Too tired to drive back home from TJ with my kids, so I decided to stay at the Rodeway Inn since it was late at night. We checked in with no hassle. The morning comes and I go to shower I see this towel with splats of what appears to be blood stains and I check the rest and they appeared clean. I go to shower and the shower curtain also had splats. I addressed this with the standing manager Victor and shows him the towel and his reply was «Why didn’t you check the towels last night? «Really? Isn’t that their job to make sure the towels are clean prior to a guest arriving? He refused to give any discount for the disgusting find. He gave us a card with another manager by the name Julia. He sent up a maid who we showed the towel to and her reply was «I hope he doesn’t charge you for the towels» These people have no care for their guests and seem to try to blame you for their mishaps. Beware! There are other reviews with unfair chargers. I took pictures, so there better be no extra charges on my card. We asked Victor to send up the maid so she can count the towels and make sure there would be no extra charges and he said she couldn’t. The audacity is refreshing at Rodeway Inn.

My family stayed here for a week during a trip to San Diego. We stayed here to save money so we could have a nice vacation. The staff was nice and helpful, although there were a lot of issues. Leaky air conditioner, both in the room and out, spotty television service, lots of noise from the trains and the highway to name a few. But, we figured you get what you pay for.
Upon check out, we found we were being charged $ 75 for a «burned blanket,» an issue that I am 100% certain we did not cause. We don’t smoke, carry lighters, matches, a hot plate, a curling iron, ANYTHING that could have done this. The general manager, Julia, left a note and was not there, so we had to deal with customer complaints and a man behind the counter who literally had no idea how to handle the situation. Upon getting home, I tried to check in. Julia told me that I was black listed from the entire Choice Hotel chain (something that I later received an apology from Choice Hotels themselves), and that she straight up thought I was lying. She said she had emailed me all the information. Choice Hotels informed me that was not true because she did not have any email on file. She also claimed she wasn’t aware of the situation, yet the guy at the counter at check out had a note from Julia about the issue.
Beware this hotel, this woman and this hotel are straight up thieves. I would recommend staying away and finding a better place, a few extra bucks could save you from being screwed later on by dishonest people.

Room is clean and we’ll maintained. Great location, Walking distance to trolley & border. Lots of things to do it is all right here price is a little high for hotel condition it is not bad just showing it’s age

Wanted to stay close to Chula Vista amphitheathre. Should have done my research. This place is in a sketch location. The rooms are decent for 55 dollars. But the sheets had holes in them. The blow dryer didn’t work. It’s true when they say you get what you pay for! Stayed for a couple of nights cleaning lady never came. We checked in at around 4:45 the room still wasn’t ready. We had to wait outside our room. Instead of offering another one they made us wait outside. They also charge a 50 dollar deposit! Probably wouldn’t stay again

Newly renovated rooms. Everything is clean, rooms have fridge and microwave. At check in we got offered an upgrade to a room with a jacuzzi because they were booked! We took that offer in a heartbeat! Jacuzzi room is sweeet! Would definitely recommend this hotel!

My boyfriend & I stumbled upon this hidden gem before heading to Baja for a few days. We travel south of the border quite often and must say that the Kings Inn, along w/​all the other surrounding motels near the border, are all incredibly overpriced roach motels. Not this place! The room was comfortable, the heater works (NOTHING worse than a broken heater lol) Amenities include: mini fridge, microwave, room service, complimentary coffee, blow dryer, etc. My boyfriend and I were also very impressed by the friendly staff. Also, checkout at 12pm. All around, we enjoyed our experience. 4 stars!

I’m writing this review as I sit in Todos Santos, Baja. Be back Monday. Well once again, let me preface this review by stating during our Memorial Day trip to Baja, Mexico, we unfortunately had to use a destination in the review that Unilocal would accept. So the last destination we stopped at to take a leak was the Rodeway Inn. I needed a legit address that Unilocal would accept. For whatever reason, Unilocal doesn’t allow for Mexican locations to be reviewed.
Surfin’ is me only medication. It’s my drug of choice! Hell yeah, it’s addicting, So phuck you, I’m an addict! Cuttin’ my fins through the water, like a knife through butta, it’s what I do best. As surfers we hand ourselves over to the ocean, every time we step foot in the water, regardless of the consequences. And where I grew up in Western OZ, surfin’ wasn’t jus merely a hobby or sport, it was a part of culture, part of me life. Life is like a wave, you can’t change the way it breaks, but you can change the way you ride it. I even remember back home in OZ, me girlfriend asked me, to pick either her or surfin’, I sure do miss her: D I explained to her that paddling into epic waves requires 100% commitment; hesitation could result in wiping out. Relationships are the same way, it’s all about commitment, when you seek out and find the perfect wave, than hopefully, you’ll find the perfect girl: D Feelings are much like waves, we can’t stop them from coming, but we can choose which one to surf.

So here we are again, back on our journey to Baja, Mexico, wiv a few more friends in tow. There were 9 of us on this epic excursion, we’re all freakin surfaholics. Our party of 9 consisted of 5 blokes and 4 sheilas, two SUV’s, and 16 freakin boards ;) all crammed into and atop our rides. It’s amazing how efficient you can be at packing when it comes to surfin’. Didn’t really know what conditions we were in for, and last time we went, we certainly realized we should’ve brought a betta selection of boards. Granted our girls are divas, but, they can definitely carve the crap outta any wave and rip it up. When a girl can absolutely shred a wave, there’s definitely nothing sexier.
The trip started out in Baja Norte, back at K-​38, K-​55, along wiv the most righteous of all, Todos Santos. Although TS was bangin out some really sweet shore breaks, righteous righties, easily pushing 6 – 7 feet, farther out in the impact zone, we even hit some wicked 8 – 10 footers, absolutely sick, it seemed more like winter there. I paddled out farther and saw what appeared to be easily a 9 footer just staring at me, about to peak. I bolted for this absolutely epic wave, paddling that bitch hard, it definitely was bigger than I thought when me got it, at least 10 – 11 feet and it was followed up by its evil twin, I dropped her, carved, front sided her, popped out the other end, and went, «Holy shit, I’m still alive», than the waves came crashing like a fist to me jaw. My body is here, but me mind is still wiv that last wave.
TS was pretty stuffed. Fighting for the wave wiv those who should still learn how to paddle a board, is pretty freakin miserable and a real pissa. There were jus a bunch of paddle pusses taking up space, chatting away, and getting in the way. If the waves are deeper than your waist, stop talking, shut up and start paddling. We heard there was some massive surf farther down south near Shipwrecks, and K-​181 .So wiv much hesitation, not really wanting to leave TS due to the epic surf, we packed our gear and went south. We went to K-​181. It was definitely rockin some major swells due to the gusting winds. It was definitely worth pulling out some sticks and giving the waves a proper greeting. We got out to the impact zone and immediately started to carve out some wicked lines. We lit the waves up, wiv some cutbacks and snaps, along wiv layback snaps, air reverses, backside air reverses, and both front & back airs. The girls pulled out their boards and began to absolutely carve the massive waves. I reckon just about every dude on the beach or in the water, was completely, mouth wide open, gasping for air, while checking them out. I reckon the other surfers jus thought they were eye candy, bullshit, they came to surf and that they did. When you watch a girl pull a complete 180 aerial 5+ feet out of liquid, show some respect. Kristine ripped it. I was hoping that Cameron got this amazing exhibition of surfin’ on film. When one of your best surfin’ bros is also a pro photog it allows you to capture the memory and as well as every wave.
However, I still can’t wait to head back home to visit me family and surf the shitters out of Margaret River. Just a few more weeks, to be exact, June 12, and I’m home, back in Western, OZ, where it all began as a little tot, at age 5. We don’t remember days… we remember the moments. Cheers!
