Our headquarters are located on California’s beautiful Central Coast – near the exclusive enclaves of Carmel, Pebble Beach and Monterey. History

Established in 2002.

Originally headquartered on California’s beautiful Central Coast – near the exclusive enclaves of Carmel, the distribution center opened in Palo Alto in 2013.

We love where we live and work and are passionate about our company, which we have built on a rock solid foundation of honesty, integrity and loyalty. We always stay true to our business ethics, and carefully choose to whom we sell our products.

To better serve our customers’ needs, we make our products available in a variety of ways – by dealer job pack, stocking pallet, cut-​to-​size for any project, and direct ship containers to importing distributors across the United States.

Carmel Stone Imports has evolved into a national distributor of unique stone, but with our roots in a retail showroom, we are proudest of our tradition of customer service.

Business Owner

Robbie Robinson has come full circle with the opening of his Carmel Stone Imports three locations. The Carmel Design Center is a 4,000 sqft store which showcases the products his company brings in from around the globe and, incidentally, was also the site of Robbie’s initial foray into the stone business. Soon, he branched out into wholesale and the Sand City facility is a 20,000 sqft commercial warehouse open to the public. Recently we just opened our new headquarters in Palo Alto, a 60,000 sqft warehouse, and design center and slab showroom.

The choices are many: White marble from Carrara, Italy, Egyptian limestone, travertine from Turkey, Argentinean Dolomite and reclaimed stone, the «Timeworn» collection of marble and travertine from Venice and limestone and exotic stone from the Palestinian West Bank. The owner personally visits every country he imports from at least once each year to ensure that only the finest stone is sent to his warehouse.
