Porco’s Karate Academy teaches the ancient Korean martial art of Tang Soo Do. While there are many benefits to studying this art including improved confidence, respect, humility and perseverance, the three primary purposes of the art are: 1) Self Defense 2) Physical Fitness 3) Self Discipline
Tang Soo Do focuses on more than just physical techniques. Directly translated «Do» means «way of life». The Tang Soo Do practitioner should strive to live a good life both in and out of the studio in accordance with the codes, creeds, and tenants of the martial art.
