The staff is very friendly. I always get the bacon egg and cheese sandwich. It’s cheap, delicious, and something that you should try. It is also conveniently located in the center of sandy hook, where you can walk around. The man behind the counter was so nice to my daughter. Definitely returning.

New ownership. Just not the same quality. I tried egg sandwiches a couple times and eggs over cooked with those little «crunchies» that you don’t know if they are eggshells or burnt? Too bad I liked having the previous ownership always counted on freshness…

This deli used to be great, but the consistency of the food and quality of service has recently changed. My understanding is that there is new management. I ordered a Greek salad the other day that had no onions, a ton of carrots, and I was given red vinaigrette dressing when I had asked for balsamic. The salad itself was tasty, but it wasn’t a Greek salad.

At first the guy was nice and told me he could make me whatever I want. Then I asked for a slice of cheese and my bread toasted and it was the end of the world to him. He didn’t wear a glove on one hand and was using both hands on my sandwich and then on the register cashing customers out multiple times. The girl working there wasn’t using gloves at all and was slicing vegetables. She was wearing nail polish too which makes it more disgusting. If it’s that bad in front of customers who even knows what happens behind the scenes. Also I noticed the meat got sliced using the same slicer as the cheese (meat first then cheese) without being cleaned in between which is basically a health code violation equally as bad as no gloves. This place is just really bad.

good deli, not close to being great. Went there on a Saturday morning and a young lady took my order as if it were a chore. She ended up forgetting to write down my toast order so I never got any.. no apologies…

Love this place. The best deli around. Fresh food nice hot lunches each day. Staff very friendly. We eat lunch here 2 – 4 times a week.

Though the sandwiches were good, we waited 30 minutes for our sandwiches. When we inquired about the wait time they said that the order got lost in the crowd (of 5 customers). They will not be getting my business again.
