Classic Collision of Sandy Springs

Someone ran into the back of my brand new car and of course I chose to come to Classic Collision to fix my car. My family has been going there for years so why wouldn’t I go back?
It was in the beginning of December when I brought it to them and they told me that they were not going to be able to even look at it until January 4^th, I thought that it was kind of ridiculous that it would take that long but I knew that they always do a good job so I decided to wait. To my surprise they looked at my car and got an estimate 2 weeks earlier than I was told, which made me really happy.
They got straight to work on fixing my baby! Tab and Kayla had very good communication with me while they were fixing my car and seemed to talk to me like a friend instead of a customer with a number in line.
There is only a few things I have to complain about is when I got my car back almost 2 months later I had to bring it back for them to adjust the trunk door because they did it wrong the first time. It only took them 45 minutes to fix it but it was still kind of annoying since they already had my car for almost 2 months. Also when I picked up my car the first time I got in my car to find a bunch of papers on my front passenger seat that I KNOW I did not leave there like that. I moved them to find huge dents in my leather seat that still have not gone away after almost 2 weeks of having my car. And now that I have gotten to see my car in all light angles and after a clean car wash I have noticed outlines of paint on my window that WONT COME OFF!
When I showed Tab the problem with the seats he just shrugged it off and moved onto hurrying me back to the waiting room to wait for my car.
Its debatable weather or not I will be coming back here or not.

This was the most infuriating experience with a business I’ve ever death with. I took my car in for a small dent repair. The next day, we were informed that one of the employees had backed into my car. They had to replace the entire front end. At this point, picking up my car and going as far away from this place as possible would have been the best decision. Unfortunately, I let them try to «make it right» and fix it themselves, mostly because of their convenience to me. Huge mistake. Besides paying for a rental, which was no question, this company acted like they were doing me a favor by «at least telling me they ran into my car and not covering it up». I fought with them for days on the fact they owed me diminished value on my car. They wanted to do everything under the table, since it «wasn’t worth it to file under their insurance». I asked them to fix a small 2″ scratch on a back panel of my car to make up for my cars diminished value. I was told that since they didn’t file a police report and it was on private property, I didn’t get diminished value anyways. Maybe it’s because I’m a female, maybe I came across as naïve, but contrary to their belief, I know what’s owed to me when someone backs into my car I’ve made one payment on.
Tab was easy to talk to, but unfortunately was the middle man of me & this terrible company. I spoke the the GM, Roland, who was the most condescending, rude, and narcissistic person I’ve ever dealt with. Not once was there ever a «I’m sorry» from the GM. In his words: «At Least we didn’t cover it up» and «mistakes happen.» Never mind the fact he yelled at me for «threatening him» of going to the BBB for terrible business practices. Which, after research, they aren’t BBB accredited after all.
After two weeks of being in this shop, I get my car back. The window they had to replace wasn’t sealed properly. Back in the shop it went for a couple more days.
I wouldn’t never recommend this business to anyone. Mistakes happen, I get that, but the way it was handled was absolutely terrible.

I took our van to Classic Collision after accidentally bashing a small side panel against a stump while on a trip. The service rep was prompt and friendly, they did a very quick and helpful fix for now, and all for no charge. I recommend them highly.

I was in an accident that was admittedly my fault, where I hit a curb and the two tires on the passenger side of my car were destroyed. The shop where I regularly have my oil changed recommended that I take my car to Abra collision center, since they weren’t sure if the car would need more repairs than just two new tires. However, my insurance was through Geico, and they recommended that I go to Classic Collision, since Classic Collision had a Geico appraiser on site.
I told Classic Collision up front that I wasn’t sure if I was going to file a claim for the damages to my insurance. I dropped the car off on a Monday, the appraiser didn’t look at the car until Thursday, and didn’t submit the report to Classic Collision until Friday. It turned out that the car did in fact only need the new wheels and tires. Classic Collision had to then order the parts, put them on, and send the car out for an alignment. Unfortunately, the first delivery of the parts only had the parts for one wheel and tire, not two, so that extended it an extra day. On top of that, their deliveries don’t come until 4:30, and they close at 6:00, so there’s hardly any time for them to install parts when they come in.
My car was not ready until Thursday of the following week, so I had to keep my rental car for 11 days and pay out of pocket for it, and that cost ended up being just a tad bit less than the cost to repair the car. I realize that this was not all Classic Collision’s fault, but they still need better processes in place to handle these things. A week and a half to repair a car that only needed new wheels and tires is inexcusable.
I have no reason to doubt the quality of their work, but I was not impressed by their customer service. I will say that they washed my car and topped it off with gas before they returned it to me, and I do appreciate that. Still, I have had more extensive damage to my car in the past that didn’t take as long to repair as Classic Collision took this time around. I do not recommend going to Classic Collision unless you own another car that you can drive while the damaged one is being repaired.

Classic Collision tries hard to please. Their dent repair and painting were very good. The assembly of the bumper on our Toyota van was very good. They replaced the dented electric, sliding door with a Toyota OEM part, which is excellent. The assembly of the door was, however, initially poor. Poor fit and operation.
After a delay of two days, Thursday, the door failed our inspection– poor fit. We returned on Friday because they said it was fixed. It opened, but it failed to close, then noise and poor fit again after their adjustment. They sent it to Rick Hendrix Sandy Springs Toyota for an OEM repair. On Monday, we discovered Hendrix was wasting time performing a recall repair instead of fixing the door. We had to go there where we discovered that Hendrix’s mechanics would not work on the door mechanism — the mechanic actually told me he was NOT capable to work on it! We drove the van back to Classic who then sent it on to Nalley Toyota in Roswell, who actually had mechanics who fixed it. (Be careful dealing with Rick Hendrix Sandy Springs Toyota — I heard that they have lost a lot of competent mechanics.). In the end, Classic came through with a very good, satisfactory job five business days later than estimated. They agreed to pay for the extra days of car rental. My four star rating reflects the professional courtesy of Lee and Travis, their determination to meet our expectations, and quality of the final repair. It also reflects our personal intervention, several times, before it was fixed.

So here’s the deal. I had some pretty significant front-​end damage to my Nissan Altima after getting into an accident last year. Classic Collision of Buckhead was nearby, and so I took my car there. They took great care of me from a customer service standpoint, and they told me they were going to transport my car to the Sandy Springs location as they could get to it quicker there. That sounded good to me! Unfortunately, the repairs took approximately 5 – 6 weeks to complete, and I am not quite sure why. The final product was great — they did an excellent job. However, the delays kept coming, and they pushed back my «pickup date» several times throughout the process, with no clear explanation as to why. Maybe it was just a busy time of year, but it seemed like a very long wait. I would recommend them for the quality of the work, but be prepared to be driving a rental for quite a while.

This place is amazing! I had a minor disagreement with a parking curb which left my front bumper cover loose and the rock guard underneath my car falling off. They fixed everything for less than my deductible and they even detailed my car. It was so pretty when I picked it up!!! I had a bit of tree sap on my hood that I had been unable to remove and the technician removed it for me in about two minutes. I did have to take my car back to them a couple of days later as one of the clips holding the guard in place fell off, but I am not deducting a star, because their customer service is amazing and I couldn’t be happier with the repair. My car actually looks better now than when I bought it!

Had a wonderful experience at Classic Collision. Lee Smollen and the staff there were friendly and professional and kept us informed every step of the way. The repairs were done early and were expertly and quite satisfactorily done. Should we ever need auto repairs again we’ll certainly go back.

worst thing I could have done is let them fix my car after i was hit. I only let them fix it was I didn’t have time to look around and that is where Gieco took it. I was talk down to and was told everthing was the way it should have been, I told them the car didn’t feel right and not the same as before. I was told it was in my head and that it would never feel the same as before. It took me almost hitting someone at a later date for them to figure out that there was something wrong with car. They took it to the dealership and they didn’t even know where the car was half the time. I may be a woman but it seems I know more than they do about cars and that is not saying much since I know almost nothing!!!

At the beginning of March I was the filling in a nasty rear end sandwich. My 2010 Mazda 3 (and I) took the full brunt of the impact, coming out of it with rear bumper damage and almost total destruction at the front. Our insurance company gave us a couple of recommended body shops to take it to, and this one was the one we chose on the basis of good reviews — we only found out later that my husband’s uncle will ONLY take his treasured vehicles here.
Cornelius was the supervisor of the work on my poor car and I cannot recommend both him and this place highly enough. My car is my baby, and while I was recovering, I was sent regular updates with photos that showed the progress of the repairs (which greatly helped my peace of mind). It took just about two weeks (there was a LOT of work to do!), and then we got the call to come and pick it up.
Pulling in, we were mightily impressed with the scale and cleanliness of the facility. And I could not be more thrilled with the work that was done on my car. It looked better than it did when I first got it! I almost couldn’t believe it was the same vehicle — it was spotless inside and out. The only remnants of the accident were the surface scratches on my license plate (which they carefully bent back into shape). I was also thrilled to be told that the repairs were guaranteed for the lifetime of the car as long as I owned it. Cornelius was a lovely fellow to talk to and incredibly helpful, as were the other employees we encountered.
The work was SO good that my husband ended up inquiring about some cosmetic repairs on his Acura RSX. I smelt jealousy. ;)

These guys do excellent work! I had my car dropped off on a Monday morning at 10am, and they had it ready for me to drive off by 3pm the next day. Even did a full detail on the car as a courtesy. Their estimates were markedly lower than other places I had checked to get my bumper replaced, and yet they still gave 110% on the job. Definitely would recommend them on professional courtesy, and overall speed on getting the repairs done.

I have used CC twice in the last year, unfortunately. However, I was pleased with both experiences.
1^st: Front end repair — Oh deer!
After hitting a deer, I came by for an estimate and scheduled the work while I would be out of town. They called me when my car was ready and I made payment arrangements over the phone. They also left my car so I could pick it up easily when I returned on the weekend when they were closed.
2^nd: Rear end repair — 400 fender-​bender.
After I got my estimate, I waited for the call to say the parts were in so the downtime on my car would be minimal. As with most repair jobs, there is always more to be done once they get into it. So, it took longer than anticipated (5 days vs. 1 day) to make the repairs, however, with Hertz next door and Tab keeping me updated, it was not a problem or a hassle. I got my car back better than new: it was clean inside and out and had a full tank of gas!
Everyone I encountered at CC of SS was pleasant and professional.

I had a couple of dents in my car that needed repair so I dropped it off at Classic Collision of Sandy Springs. Their estimate and final cost were in line with the 3 other estimates that I received.
They did quality work and finished it when they said they would. The associates here are friendly and the body shop is very clean and well run.
There is Hertz attached to this location of Classic Collision which makes it very convenient to rent a car while yours is in the shop. The Hertz will give you the Classic Collision «special» rate, though I’m not sure how special it really is.
I’d recommend coming here to get body work done on your car. They met, but did not exceed, my expectations and I have no complaints.
