The High Country Paddle Shack is a full service rental and lesson location for Stand Up Paddleboarding, kayaking and canoeing. We offer weekly stand up paddleboard demos, private instruction, as well as hourly rentals Friday-​Sunday. No experience necessary! We look forward to paddling with you!

Established in 1975.

High Country has been offering lessons and rentals on the Chattahoochee since 1975! Our new location at Morgan Falls Overlook park provides easy access to the Chattahoochee River for stand up paddleboarding, kayaking and canoeing!

I grew up in Atlanta, GA and spent the first 20 years of my life on the water. The Chattahoochee River, and it’s surrounding area, has always been my playground. Very few Georgia natives know how lucky we are to have such an amazing resource in our backyard. Morgan Falls Overlook Park recently became my favorite place to paddle, due to it’s clean water, natural beauty, and proximity to the Atlanta perimeter. After 4 years of keeping it a secret, I decided to open the High Country Paddle Shack so everyone had easy access to our waters. Their is nothing more satisfying that sharing my passions, and favorite destinations with fellow adventurers.
