Top Dog Express Car Wash & Oil Change

So I guess Top Dog Express is changing into Mr. Carwash? I’ve been coming to this car wash for five years and I’ve gotten everything from your basic carwash in the tunnel to a full detail. I haven’t been there for a while, but today I noticed all of them Mr. Carwash logos everywhere. I just wanted a basic wash so I went through the car wash tunnel. My car barely looks like it even rained on it, much less washed it! I paid $ 11 for this? Never had a problem with the exact same wash before… The wash cycle I drove through definitely seemed different, But I didn’t expect it to be this bad! What a pitiful excuse for a car wash… I will not be going back.

The recent change in ownership has changed a few things for the worse.
The Wednesday discounts are now gone. It was only $ 2, but it was nice to have.
They no longer include towel drys in anything except the full service package whereas you used to get it with the $ 16 wash. I was told that the extra blowers would take care of it, but when I got out of the car it was covered in white water spots due to the heat. What good is a car wash if you have to wash it a second time?
In addition to the water spots, the car still if several spots where dirt did not come all the way off. Under the previous ownership this was usually caught during the towel dry and they would fix it or send me through the tunnel again, without it, I didn’t catch it until I got home.
The recent changes have made this no better than your average gas station car wash. I would recommend looking somewhere else.

I know it’s a little more expensive than other local places, however those other places have given me HORRIBLE service.
I love the convenience and the crew is never pushy. They make sure you are on your way in about 10 minutes and you get a free wash and vacuum afterwards.
I bring my Prius here and my lady’s Acura. Happy every time!

This place is going downhill fast! They now have a new system where the tires are «supposedly» done in the tunnel, so they’ve eliminated the tire shine and clean. I literally think my tires came out with less shine than they went in. Rims are still filthy, bugs still on the windshield (that I can scratch off with my fingernail), and I left with my car dripping wet. I had to pull back in and finish the job myself in the parking lot to dry my rims and tires. Pitiful! A worker told me «Yep, that’s our new system»

Super disappointed. New owners need to get new crew to work like the old crew. Soft bristle brush used as primer before the wash. 2 swipes and that’s it. Did nothing to prime the car. The car waited for close to 10 minutes before they started to wipe it down dry. While only 2 other cars being worked on. 3 guys in each other car. Not a good use of time. Finally they started to wipe down dry. Water stains left on Windows and mirrors… back not even vacumed. Dirt all over rugs. 2 stars because they agreed to recipe down after complaint. Years past they would not say it was done until a team member looked over the completed process. Will have to start looking for new car wash.

Super disappointed. I have gone here for a couple of years with no real issues, just a basic car wash now and then. However, this time when I went, I needed a bit more than usual. My car had been parked by a sprinkler so there was a lot of hard water on it. I went through the car wash as usual and an employee used a soft bristle brush on my car. He gave it two swipes, unlike the other times that I had been there where they use a sponge or cloth and take some time on it. The employees did not seem interested or willing to do anything to aid in the process before entering the wash.
I proceeded with the car wash and in my opinion, my car looked worse after. None of the spots had come off, the car wash missed large areas of the car and the water left additional spots.
For the price of the wash, I was certainly expecting better. I did not get the best wash possible, but I would expect a cleaner car after getting it washed. I would not waste your time going here if you need something more than average.

Just FYI — Top Dog Car wash in Sanford, Lake Mary and Melbourne is now Mister Carwash. New owners, new staff, and not friendly.
Good news is there are 3 more Top Dogs, one in Altamonte @ 434 and 436 by Golden Coral and Oviedo and Lake Nona area.

Does this car wash ever work. Past two times I’ve been there it was broken. No one to advise customers about this. Just let me sit in line for 10 minutes. I’ve also had the pleasure of getting an oil change here. Friendly staff but incompetent. They changed my lights offered me a deal but they had to remove my battery. However when they put the battery back they didn’t tighten it properly. Needless to say my car couldn’t start after driving it for 3hours. Opened the hood and found my battery cable was off the terminal. Thankfully it didn’t happen while driving. I have given this place enough chances.

I was trying to get an oil change today and I call the guy at the register and ask him what time they stop accepting customers. He said 6pm and that he would tell the oil guys to wait a few minutes for me because I was stuck in traffic on I4. I show up at exactly 6:00 and the staff rudely told me they were closed. So I re-​called the guy at the register and he then told me that they actually stop accepting customers at 5:59. Why would he tell me that the oil guys would wait for me? It really shows how much Top Dog values their customers. These guys care about themselves first and the customer second. I will NEVER return and I WOULD NOT recommend this place to anyone EVER.

I don’t live near this car wash, but I make the drive because the know how to provide an excellence service! Prices are great and they work very fast. I have suggested this place many friends and they have been very happy with their service. Enjoy

I drove my wife’s car to Top Dog for a quick wash today. They only had a couple of cars on the lot so I hoped it would be quick. I asked and paid for the $ 18 basic full service (exterior and interior). Once the vehicle got through the auto-​wash, I left it with one of the associates who started vacuuming the driver’s seat area for a couple of minutes then abandoned the vehicle with its door open and simply disappeared. After about ten minutes of watching the car being neglected, I walked to the manager, mentioned the poor service and left…
They obviously don’t give a $#!* about their customers and the quality of service anymore. we won’t be using Top Dog again, nor should you.

A bit over priced! A good wash and vacuum cost around 20 bucks. The staff looks lost at times and one of them was carrying on a conversation on her cell while wiping down the glass. When it was all said and done the carpets were vacuumed, the tires were nice and shiny, and the car was clean. I might go again if I find a coupon, but not a weekly thing.

Fantastic, friendly service every time I’ve been. They had trouble with their drive through wash when I was there for an oil change, wash and detail today. Not only did they fix it quickly but they also gave me a discount and loyalty card for the wait, even though I didn’t complain. What great people!

Okay, why 5 stars? Well they did something good that many businesses don’t. I went through the wash and the guys prepping did a very terrible job. Worst ever. Now some people would have a heart attack and get mad, I simply cleaned up my car when I got home and notified the business, like a normal person. I nearly immediately got a response, was apologized to, and assured that a manager was dealing with the problem as we corresponded. Now EVERY business has a down moment or a problem, but what they do about it means a lot. Acknowledging my issue, being prompt and friendly, and handling it is what’s expected. You can’t undo the problem, but you can fix it for me and others so it doesn’t happen again. So a quick ‘adding of a star’ for this interaction with a normally very good and consistent business!

I had an 8 year old pee on my cloth backseat. The employee was great at explaining what he could and couldn’t do and was clear about what I. Could expect after the cleaning. Three days later I can still smell the chemicals (as expected) but the horrid stench of urine is completely gone from my car! I’m sure that in a few more days and leaving the windows open to air, my car will be back to new.

This gets 2 stars because the employees were friendly but I have to note that (1) the amount of time it took to do an interior/​exterior cleaning of my car was over an hour and (2) the shampoo and interior clean just wasn’t really great. There had been some natural dirt buildup from using the car for a year and I was hoping that an interior steam and shampoo would take care of that (I was assured the problem areas that I pointed out would be totally addressed) but just a day after I got her washed the problem spots were there as always.
The exterior car wash and service was fine, but if you are going to spring for the interior package beware…

It’s the Best car wash in the area. Prices are reasonable and fast service.

Dropped my 2007 Ford Explorer off for 5 hours.
Looked like a New Truck when I got it back.
Well worth the money.

I’m a frequent customer of the automatic car wash and self vacuums. All employees I’ve encountered have been friendly, helpful (sometimes overly so; I think I can be trusted to swipe my own credit card). The guys who do the pre-​wash wipedown are communicative, helpful, and very thorough.
The vacuum area is very sufficient, with machines that do their job well.
I got an oil change here once and I LOVE that you can just stay in your car. It was around the same price as a Jiffy-​Lube or similar. They did try to upsell me on a couple things, but took «No, thank you» as an acceptable answer.
I definitely recommend it to keep your car in decent shape during pollen season!
