History
Established in 1985.
J and J Aquafarms started in 1985 with a few fish ponds near the Kings River, just east of Sanger. It has grown to 50 acres of ponds with over 12 species of fish and 20 species of ornamental water plants. It is run as an integrated, sustainable farm with minimal use of chemicals or inorganic fertilizers. Other crops and livestock include wine grapes, walnuts, free-range cattle, goats, sheep and chickens.
New for this year is a brand new farm-stay guesthouse, available for rent. You can experience farm activities including a fish harvest, working livestock, fruit and vegetable harvest, and fishing. Within 90 minutes are Three National Parks (Yosemite, Kings Canyon, Sequoia), skiing, boating, fishing, hiking and climbing.
