I went to get my hair cut today by Erica, great job, I am very happy with the result! I will definitely go back again.

I was referred to Brenda by my makeup artist in Arizona. I was visiting in Cali and I needed my make up done for New Years. Brenda was very professional and supper sweet on the phone. She sure did try to accommodate me on a short notice. She did an outstanding job on my makeup more than what I expected knowing that I’m very picky when it come to a flawless look. She did contour my face. Highly recommend her specially if your in the area.

The Artist village was great I loved their art and their barber Adam created a great gentleman hard part. I will definitely be coming back again. My favorite was the freestyle drawing of Frida Kahlo.

Was in need of a quick fade and clean up last Sunday night and Carlos hooked it up, and even though I was a walk in close to closing they still treated me with hospitality! Will be returning here very soon. Affordable and clean men’s cuts here gentlemen.

Let me start by saying I don’t like to post bad reviews unless its a really bad exp. I went here «Because» of the 4 – 5 star rating reviews and their Instagram great before and after pics. I went in for a hair consultation got quoted $ 289 and was pleased with overall hair consultation because i do have well had lots of hair and long. I arrived day of my appointment 11am we get started about 45 mins after. BRENDA was my hair dresser I needed some color correction I already had some blonde ends that I was pleased with but yet alot of orangy tones, and definitely needed to lift my blonde tone higher and touch up my roots. 4 hrs into the process I was like ok in the past I normally stay 4 – 5 hrs but she was still going and doing her thing. Had to call the hubby to bring me lunch. During that time the hubby ran into some co workers and we’re chatting away in the salon. Brenda then proceeded to say oh, your hubby knows them? It was clear and apparent that yes he did n then figured out ok, they work together. She then tell me girl that’s good you did good chosing him, introduce me to his friends. It was an lol for me n said ok when they gather I’ll let you know. The hubby eventually left n asked her how much more time will she be here, she then replies ALL DAY, SHE SURE WASN’T KIDDING. I WAS AT THE SALON 10 HOURS 11AM TO 9:30PM. WHO TAKES THAT LONG!!! She then tells me you do have alot of hair so I’m like wow, ya ok I do.
But 10 HOURS? What I didn’t like was that she left the bleach on for 2 hrs. that’s outrageous!!! Well to make my long nightmare short. AT THE END WHEN FINALLY DONE We walk to the counter to finally pay and leave she then tells me ok YOUR TOTAL IS $ 480, whaaaat and says I am giving you a discount it should be $ 550. I WAS IN DISBELIEF… I refused to pay that, that’s not what she quoted me initially, after 15 – 20 min of discussion, she tells me from here on out for every friend person you refer to me and gets their hair done I give you a discount, I TOLD HER REALLY AFTER I TELL PEOPLE WHAT I PAID, NO ONE WILL WANT TO COME. I honestly believe that because she figured out what my husband did for a living and the conversation that was being exchanged among him n his coworkers she figured I can make what I would charge 3 people in a day. But I get it some people are in need of $$ more than others… Oh, and not to mention I lost so much hair between then and now. Bad– bad exp!

This is my first time coming to this hair salon after looking all over Orange County for a really good hair place. I must say I did find it. I’m not one to boast about any place but this one… OMG! My hair stylist Brenda was amazing!!! She worked her magic, and got it exactly how I wanted. It is pricey and took me about 5 hours for the whole process, but it is all worth it! There was also another client here before me and her hair came out great! I recommend this hair place to anyone who wants to do color. They will do it. I’m so happy with the outcome, and I will be returning (:

Super cute, friendly salon and barbershop! Very trendy, and fashionable! ERICA is my go to girl for cut, color extensions and balayage! She can do it all! She is quick and makes it all look so Easy! This last time, I wanted blue peek a boos in my black hair (yes black hair) and she was able to get it done and kept my hair feeling healthy! I’ve had stylist in the past attempt this and I always end up with fried hair :(ERICA is a true color artist but also gives kick A** haircuts’! Everywhere I go I’m complimented on my hair! Go see ERICA!!!

I recently moved to the city of Orange and I needed a place where I could get my hair done. I found this place through Unilocal.I made a appointment and was lucky to book one the same day. I was on my lunch break from Jury Duty when I decided to get my hair layered and some inches taken off. I called for a walk in then walked over from the courthouse (10 minute walk if you’re speedy like me.)
Maria washed my hair, cut it, took off some weight. She’s very cute and sweet. She took care of me in about an hour, and I seriously look (and feel) like a new sexier woman. Definitely going to come back for hair coloring, round deux.
p. s. it’s located next to chapter one and copper door, south of Third on Broadway.

If you are thinking of getting a balayage go to Brenda at the artist village in downtown Santa Ana! I give her 6 stars if possible!!! She does a great job and has such a great attitude! Not to mention they have Margarita Fridays!
Only giving 3 stars because the reason she had to do my hair was because a different stylist at the salon, Diana, had done a «balayage» for a special price of «$ 150» but it looked terrible! I came in with brown hair and asked how long it would take «1 ½hours» and 3 hours later I ended up with and orange mess! (Pictures below) She offered for me to come back later to get it fixed, a quick fix «20 minutes tops» when I came back I spent another almost 2 hours in Dianas chair for my hair to look nothing like what I wanted. I left very dissapointed and upset, my hair was now damaged from being bleached twice in a day and I paid $ 150 for a service that didn’t meet my needs.
Days later I received a call from Brenda asking how I liked my style and offered for me to come back and see her at no extra cost, I was a bit skeptical but then I had noticed all the pretty before and after pictures on instagram are her work! (She tags her own insta) I had to give her a try for the sake of my hair and the money I had already spent. When I came in and asked her if my hair would get more damaged she said she could use olaplex with the bleach but it would cost $ 50 more. I was scared to keep damaging my hair so I bought that as well, the correction process took almost 5 hours! But it looks great compared to what Diana had left, I wish I would have known to go to Brenda first! All in all I spent about 10 hours at this salon in 2 separate occasions.
Don’t make my same mistake and see Brenda for all you hair needs!

Was a bit nervous at first !! But the moment I walked in the vibe was great ! My hair dresser was Maria and she was just A1 she does an amazing job listens to exactly what you want and delivers !, and makes sure your comfortable !!! And everyone else is also super friendly, music was good too. My new go to spot !!

I usually cut my own hair or find whatever local hole in the wall spot I want to test my luck with
This time around I decided to see what the downtown Santa Ana barber scene is like
Great decision to make!
I walked up and got seen immediately. Got my cut from Carol and I’m glad I did. She is a pro. She gave me a clean fade all around and left me feeling like million bucks. She lined it up with a straight razor to finish it off and you know what? It wast first time experiencing the straight razor and its a clean look and feel.

Thought I’d try this place out. Nice little place in downtown Santa Ana in the Artist Village. I am very picky on fades and saw some of the pictures and was sold! I also took my 3 year old son with me to get a fresh cut. So we got matching haircuts! So with that said time for the review…
The Good– Brian took his time on the hair cuts, fades were on point, friendly atmosphere, in downtown Santa Ana near coffee shops.bars.and shops, lolly pops for kids (parents know that’s a plus!), they have pandora and Netflix as well, and it says they don’t accept credit cards on their Unilocal page (which almost made me not go) but THEY DO ACCEPT CREDIT CARD!!!
The Bad– They are pricey (another reason I almost didn’t go), parking is a little crazy (usually have to pay, but I guess it’s free on the weekends which is good to know), and waiting area is pretty small and couch sits 3 comfortably, (single chairs would be better though)
My reason for 5 stars… Brain did a great job on both my sons hair and mine! BUT ALL AND ALL, GREAT PLACE!

This was my first time being here, and walking in I instantly loved the vibe, and clean professional environment. I had an appointment with the lovely Shaina :) who not only took her time with me, but made me feel comfortable as well. She literally took my hair and revived it! Praise Jesus I walked in here! Lol will be back for coloring for sure! Hit up the ARTIST VILLAGE HAIR STUDIO!!!

My mom and I both stopped by the night before yesterday just to get a FREE hair consultation since we are both going on a trip very soon. The place is a little hidden but once you find it and step inside it’s an awesome little place! Very cozy and welcoming!:) Brenda (the hair salon owner) was welcoming and had AMAZING customer service; she even spoke Spanish which was great because that way my mom was able to communicate what she wanted. Brenda was accommodated to our every need in order for us to feel comfortable with a new change that we very much needed.
That night she started to work on my mom’s hair cut, color, highlights, shampoo &style. It took a good while but that’s great because Brenda didn’t want to rush anything and wanted to make sure that everything was going to my mom’s specific needs (tends to be very picky). My mom’s hair in the end turned out so pretty! We both loved it very much :)
The next morning I came in for my 10am appt with Brenda ready to get my hair transformed! My hair was a mess because it obviously had outgrown all the color and roots were very black. Brenda explained the process of what she was going to do step by step and I loved that! She accommodated my every need in order for my hair to come out the way that I wanted. Brenda cut, colored, bleached, shampood and styled my hair :) The final results were GORGEOUS! I am so in love with my hair and it is was worth every penny!

I LOVE ARTIST VILLAGE HAIR STUDIO!!!
I live in Los Angeles but I had to be in Orange County for an event and wanted to find a great place to get my hair and makeup done at that was close to where I was going. I am so happy I found this amazing little beauty oasis. I needed both makeup and hair done, my beauty consultant was Brenda… We started off with my hair which was lifeless and boring she put life back into my hair giving me the most amazing cut/​shape, color… AND to top it all off some really sexy curls for volume. I have never seen my hair look so amazing, and the best part is that it stayed that way the whole evening until I got home! Anytime I have ever got my hair done in the past within the first hour of me leaving the salon it goes flat and looks oily and terrible, was not this way when Brenda did my hair. Love, looooove, LOOOOVEE!
Now to talk about my makeup … FLAWLESSSSS. I got compliments the whole evening on how beautiful my makeup looked, she really did the most amazing job on making it look super sexy and glamorous without applying to much. It looked natural but accentuated my features wasn’t Cakey and I didn’t feel like I had pounds of makeup clogging my face.
I am so happy that I took the chance in coming in to this place, I am sooooo lucky to have found Brenda she truly is an amazing talent when it comes to anything beauty. She knows what she is doing and I trust that she will make me look gorgeous every time. Happy that I now have a place to come get beautified anytime I am in Orange County. Thank you sooooooo much Brenda !!!

This is by far the best Orange County barbershop I’ve been to. This doesn’t compare to 18|8, Supercuts, Faded Barbershop, American Blahhh blah blah. The quality of the cuts are impressive, I can honestly say that I come out of there with a boosted self-​esteem. I don’t normally take selfies, but when I do it’s after a nice fresh clean cut!
I recommend that you get your cut done by barber of the year, RAUL. If you tell him that Fabian sent ya, you might just receive extra special treatment. I highly recommend that you book an appointment, call, & check in at least 15 min prior to going– this will ensure that if you are running errands you’re not stuck there waiting for them to finish with their client.
What I like about this place is that they’re always playing cool music & their internal artwork makes the place look sick! Feel free to ask them to play whatever song/​pandora station you feel like listening through the speakers.

Really nice new hair studio. I called to see if we needed to make an appointment for my boyfriend but they said they had a barber onsite at the time so we could just drop by. The studio is very spacious with very nice décor and murals on the walls. My boyfriend was due for a haircut, his hair was getting pretty long and shaggy and he told the barber he wanted it short with easy management. After an hour or so he was finally done. The barber although we did not catch his name did an amazing job! He even gave my boyfriend a complimentary hot towel shave with a straight edge on the back and sides but I think that’s included with a men’s haircut. It completely transformed my boyfriend, we both were very happy with his new cut and it was only an incredible $ 25!!! We are definitely coming back! And if you write a Unilocal review you get 10% off.

I like to follow Sofie wherever she goes. So now she’s landed at the Artist Village Hair Studio and I had to give her a visit. For any special occasion I prefer going to her over any other barber, this time was one of those times.
In regards to my hair cut I couldn’t be happier. She listens to what I want in a cut. She did some light trimming off the top as I requested and turned my one year beard growth into something presentable. Also gave me that clean taper to complement my cut up top.
As it pertains to the salon, the place is simple with enough feminine flare to give it that style and ambience you’d want in a salon. The music they played was very enjoyable, made my hair cut experience better.
There are plenty of options for eating and drinking near the salon so that’s an added bonus to giving this place a visit. Overall, I was happy with everything, especially my haircut.
