Took my 330i (e46) to Ron earlier this year because my CCV system had failed on my car. His prices were extremely fair compared to anywhere else and he is really knowledgeable about BMWs. I am a BMW fanatic and DO NOT trust just anyone with my cars. He has gained my trust and now I’ll be taking my 5 series to him for servicing.

My SRS/​airbag warning light came on when I had my car full of family, one of which was leaning on the side panel of the car. I was 100% convinced this was the reason the light went on but I couldn’t risk it.
I called in and spoke to Ron, he couldn’t quite say for sure if that was the reason the light went on but said it’s a quick test to see what the code was and we could go from there. He didn’t give too much information on prices because it could realistically be a simple fix so I decided I’d just do as recommended and stop by.
The place was easy to find (thank you Google maps, FYI it’s off Lacy and 2^nd at the end of a residential area to the left) and packed. You can tell they know what they are doing, just by the fact that they have plenty to do in my opinion. I was greeted by James who was incredibly helpful, he grabbed the tested machine and quickly started on the car. He said it was the rear passenger curtain. So I think I’m right but they say they won’t know for sure unless they open up some panels. James asked me if i could leave it (if I could) and they’d take a look. He informed Ron of the code and that I could leave it, but he told him to try and reset the light to see if it went away. Ron let me know it would be $ 40 for the test, but that if it didn’t clear, he’d credit that amount to the work I’d need done. I wasn’t surprised when the light came right back on, so I knew it was inevitable.
James let Ron know it was a hard failure and the code. Ron immediately did some research, and asked if he could play around a little with it so he could see how much work it would take. Within 2 minutes, Ron had the back seat and panel off BUT it paid off, he found the wire disconnected. He connected the two, started the car and the light was gone!
He said jokingly «okay I want my $ 40 now!» but I did have to pay for the test since there was such minor work. I was super appreciative that Ron took his time to take a look while we were there so I didn’t have to come back, I gave him a hug. Haha. Very funny, knowledgeable man. This is the second time I come in to Bert’s in the last couple years. Both times I was greeted right when I pulled in. Ron is very down to earth and easy to talk to. I’m not sure why some people felt otherwise but I’d say give it another shot.
My car was serviced and taken care of while I hung out in the little «lobby» watching TV on a recliner. And even though I knew I’d be here a while and had no other plans Ron was still incredibly sweet and tried getting my car finished even faster than he had first said it would take. In no way did I feel like I was being taken advantage of because I’m a woman. His pricing is fair, and he’s even showed me how much he gets the parts for! Can’t get more honest than that.
There are no flowers or waters offered as you walk in or leave but I’m saving hundreds of dollars coming here rather than going to my dealership. Totally worth it!

me: «hey, how much would you charge for blah blah?»
him: «this much»
me: «can you lower the price or is that final?»
HANGS UP!
I would understand that people might be busy or having a bad day, but if you’re a service provider and you can’t even answer a simple question like that, then I guess you’re just shitty and people should avoid such businesses.

I went to this guy a few months back. He is incredibly rude. He under-​quoted me which is extremely unprofessional especially in the automotive business. Oh and my check engine light went on again not even a month after. Don’t waste your money, take it somewhere else.

Well I’m surprise this place is getting great reviews. My friend took her car there to get it fix. She was quoted so many different amounts every time she would call back to check on her car. Until the bill was up to 2000 dollars. He kept her car for three days and two days later the same problem still was occurring. She has now had to take her car back 3 times and the problem is still not resolved. And at this point it seems like he does not know what he is doing and wanted to ask her for more money to fix something that should had been fixed already. Then he had the nerve to now say she might want to take it somewhere for a second opinion that right there lets me know he just don’t know how to fix it. I will never take my car to this shop!.I suggest y’all might want to do the same. I think because she is a female Ron took advantage of that. So females watch out!!!

After checking quotes for a broken window regulator on my ’06 330i, this place was the cheapest. His service was excellent too. Had my window done the same day I called and he finished my car in 2 hours which was what he had told me. He also fixed a DSC warning and charged me much less than what any other place would be to reprogram. Wish I knew about this place before since it’s close to my house. I love honest people, especially mechanics!

Sat in the shop on their wifi and with a handful of m&m’s. Called in over the phone with a code that came up on my check engine light and got an estimate over the phone (time saving and unheard of!). These guys have been honest, upfront, FAST and saved me tons of money. Don’t be worried abut the somewhat unique placement of this shop (residential area)…get over it and you will be happy you did! Plus I haven’t laughed that hard in awhile. Love this place!!!

Ron is the best! This was my 3^rd time using Ron. Had a problem with a sensor on a BMW that was out of warranty. I took it to Ron just assuming that since the car was older that it would be my problem to fix. Ron checked with Crevier, personally took my car there for them to check and got Crevier to perform the repair for free! Who does that anymore? Ron now has all of my business and we have 4 cars! Use him and don’t hesitate!!! He is fair, honest, and looks out for his clients!

One of the most helpful and considerate repair shops that I have ever done business with. Ron is very fair and I have always felt that the work done was top notch and only what was needed. Ron has always done the right thing with me and I recommend this shop to others.

I have been taking my cars to Bert’s (Bert isn’t there any more, but I forget the owner’s name) for a while and he is the best mechanic I have had. He doesn’t try and nickle and dime me, work is done well and on time, and the costs is right. If you have a problem with something he did, he will be happy to fix the issues and make you happy. I have an older BMW and Lexus, and he takes care of both cars for me. In the morning, he has one of his helpers drop me off at work and I get a ride back in the afternoon.
I have had a few coworkers go there and no one has every complained to me about the cost or the quality. The shop is a little tricky to find, at the end of dead-​end residential street, but it is worth going out of the way to track down.
