Specialties

Orange County’s reusable materials resource for teachers, schools, community organizations, the artist community, and families. Materials include unique and clean manufacturing scraps, unsaleable products and product parts, a variety of colorful fabrics and textiles, paper goods, decorations, coffee bean burlap sacks, school supplies, picture frame moldings, and many other items that can be repurposed for educational projects, arts and craft supplies, home décor and DIY needs.

History

Established in 2012.

The Child Creativity Lab’s mission is to nurture the creative mindset of our children in the headwinds of the busy lifestyles of working parents, the consuming technology culture of our youth, and standardized testing for purposes of enhancing problem solving, critical thinking, divergent thinking, and ability to innovate.

My son had his birthday party here and the kids loved it as much as the parents. From help with set-​up, to a custom craft, and STEM maker kits for the guests, it was a truly special party that combined birthday fun with learning. Peter and his team are so caring and helpful. Given the response I got from the families who attended, Child Creativity Lab is meeting a need in the community and is here to stay.

One of THE best places to take your kiddos to, my son never wants to leave, If he could go everyday he would.
I love seeing what he comes up with, he loves building, painting and creating. Such a positive environment.

Love this place. A great space to bring the whole family to be creative and think out of the box. So many materials to choose from fabrics, stationary, wood, and plastic items. The décor is so beautifully thought out and items are so well organized, leaving plenty of room for creative thinking.

What an amazing place for everyone to open their imagination and create anything that is possible! My kids were curious and inquisitive of how things can be created and they spent quality time here today, away from the electronics. Lots of reusable materials from plastics, aluminium, fabric, wood, and more. Would definitely bring my kids here more often to let their imagination and creativity run wild.

They have materials that could be used in both in-​class type activities or just play reusable materials that you could put into your next art work. There are also different stations for kids to explore their creative side.
Plenty of materials from cloth to Legos. Come and bring the whole family and explore your creative side!
