We tried the jungle fries, Thai iced tea, and monkey treats. Everything was delicious, might try to half the garlic sauce next time. The monkey treats are delicious! I will definitely try the monkey bites and the shrimp next time. they looked so good!

First encountered this food truck at the Lakewood festival. We got the tri-tip skewers with rice and green mango salad, smoked brisket fried rice, and monkee treats(banana, marshmallow, and Nutella in egg roll). So good! Tri-tip skewers had the taste of lemongrass common in Vietnamese cuisine. All very yummy!!!

Definitely a tasty treat. Cheeseburger egg rolls are super bomb. Monkee bites are delicious, just a little too spicy for my personal taste. But I’m a wimp

I am a happy monkee. My sister first tried this food truck and she loved it. Being her sibling, I doubted her, well I was wrong. I just had their monkee wings and it exceeded my expectations. Honestly, they’re larger and meatier than the competition. Their glaze of garlic and jalapeño(which isn’t too spicy) was perfect. Funny that it sits on shredded cabbage because it was just as crunchy as the crisp cabbage. The rice gives you the counter texture and balances out by softening the blow of the kick of spice. Best wings I’ve had! My favorite so far from the monkee is the shrimp and garlic rice(sadly they were out today), but it hooked me by how much large shrimp portions they give you, and that garlic rice is delicious. Pinch a little lemon on the shrimp and it just keeps you diggin for more. All fluff aside, this food truck delivers delicious.(especially those dangerous jungle fries) Super friendly service as well, that puts it on top for me. Dean was helpful on my first experience, possibly because he had a good sales pitch. So in the end, if they’re around my area, I’ll definitely check out the chubbee monkey again.

Chubbee Monkee is fantastic. Point blank. I came across them at the Cypress Home Depot food truck night this evening and am very happy that I did. The jungle fries are rich and luxurious and the cheeseburger eggroll is like a summer barbecue upgraded. The crew is awesome and service was surprisingly quick even on a busy night. I will definitely be coming back.

I took a gamble when I gave these guys a five star based off one small food item, but I really did hit the jackpot! Since my last review, I have also tried the Garlic Soy Monkee Wings with Rice, the Cheeseburger Eggrolls, and the Monkee Treats. My husband has also had the Monkee Bites. All of these are excellent!!! Garlic Soy Monkee Wings with Rice — six wings and rice for $ 10. My husband has commented several times that it fills him up just right. He is not hungry or overstuffed. For you big eaters, you may want to grab some of their side items for around $ 3 to get some more food in. Or, you can be like the last couple we talked to on our last visit that ordered pretty much every item. I don’t blame them. I would have done the same if I had the cash and the appetite. There are other items with the rice for the same price. I forgot them as we typically go straight for the wings. Check out their menu board each time you see them. So back to the wings, cooked perfectly in our opinion. A nice, perfect crispy crunch on the outside, and cooked throughout inside. We always wonder how come places overcook the outside but under cook the inside. These wings are excellent. This is the only flavor we have had. Monkee Bites — My husband had these on our last visit. Basically the same thing as the wings but no bones, and in smaller bites, but they give you a lot. He was pretty full from this one. Still excellent in flavor and crispiness. Cheeseburger Eggrolls — Heck, I don’t even remember what are in these, but I just buy them and devour them now. $ 3 for an eggroll sliced in half. Meat, cheese, I think relish, maybe some aioli and some spicy ketchup of some sort drizzled on. Sorry if I am wrong, but I can tell you that they are delicious and the spiciness is not crazy hot spicy, especially if I can eat them. Monkee Treats — I lost track of what all were in these as Dean just rambled on delicious ingredient after delicious ingredient. I do know it involves bananas, marshmallow, maybe nutella, rolled up into what reminds me of a rolled crêpe, with chocolate drizzle and powdered sugar on top. Excellent! My heart is set on garlic shrimp next, so I hope they have it. I also want to try the Crabbee Poppers next time. Those are 3 for $ 6. Crab meat and jalapenos. I hate spicy food so he did assure me that the heat is kind of cooked out and its focused on flavor, and they can make anything spicy upon request. The other stand out part here is Dean. Dean will be out to greet you, help you with any questions you have, and he is excellent at convincing you to order good food. I think he may be a hypnotist in disguise. Sam is also awesome and comes out to make sure that you enjoyed your food. I have not met the other staff members, but I can say that instead of other food trucks getting jealous that the customers gravitate towards these guys a lot, is to learn a thing or two from them. Some of my old favorite food trucks completely lost their customer service. I don’t know about anyone else, but both taste and quality, as well as service go a long way in my book. If you have no desire to even really talk or have good service, then I don’t know why I should give you my money. Duck tacos are currently resting in peace as duck is expensive and there was no profit coming in. Maybe another duck dish can be more profitable or they can find a way to make it work. If you ever see these options, they are mouth watering as a fellow customer said and now we make it a funny joke. Currently my favorite food truck along with a few others. I highly recommend these guys, and I hope they never change. What they are doing now works.

I had never seen this truck before but boy am I glad they were here at the Cypress Food Truck Tuesday tonight! I didn’t give them the 5 stars because when I walked by these pot stickers were on the rotating menu screen but found out they didn’t have that item on the menu anymore. This was the only bad point of my foodie experience, update the pictures to the current menu items! I ordered the«Tots gone Wild» — crispy tater tots, BBQ sauce, garlic aioli(OMG!), scallions. Need I say more. They were AMAZEBALLS! Will be trying more items next time!

The brisket over fried rice with the 63° egg(the chef’s creation) is a MUSTHAVE /MUST TRY. It’s the only thing i ever think of when im craving ChubbeeMonkee The service is amazing. They create such a friendly and welcoming environment! One time we went they even turned on their screen and connected their phone so all the customers can watch the game The menu is so unique. Everytime I go its like there’s something new to discover. I’d definately recommend them to any food-truck-foodie.

Everything about this truck was fantastic during my visit last night at the Home Depot in Cypress. I had only scene this truck once before and for one reason or another we skipped right over it. With several other trucks I was looking at not having the items I wanted, the stars aligned and I decided to give Chubbee Monkee a shot and am I ever glad I did. Let me start by saying that the gentleman working the front of the truck is a salesman extraordinaire. He was humorous, witty, and explained everything on the menu with such passion that the mental imagery was forever embedded in your head. I decided to go with the Monkee Wings over rice for $ 10 and felt that the portion for the price was absolutely perfect. The wings come in your choice of garlic & soy(medium), asian cajun(hot) or sweet & sour. I went with the garlic & soy and the flavors were tremendous. The 5 wings which were quite large were served over a pile of cabbage and two scoops of white rice and were cooked perfectly and had that bit of crispiness on the outside that I love. I normally do not like waiting 10 minutes for my food but the time flew by listening to the salesman talk about his menu and he really never slowed down from start to finish. There are several trucks we frequent where the service aspect seems to have gone downhill a bit and this is an area they should really focus on as the lines here were a constant stream of people while theirs were almost non-existent at times. Salesmanship seems to be a lost art for many but 5 minutes with this guy and that can all change. Besides the wings the Chubbee Monkee also has garlic shrimp over garlic rice, smoked brisket over rice, chesseburger eggrolls(yeah, you read that right), crabee poppers(jalapeño popper with crab meat), jungle fries and even a sweet treat aptly called the Monkee Treats. My wife who ate off another truck earlier in the evening even went back up and made a point to order one of their mouthwatering duck tacos for $ 2 and really seemed to like it. I absolutely loved this truck and hope that they will be back again soon. If you are at an event and Chubbee Monkee comes driving in then do yourself a favor and make it a point to give them a try. This is asian fusion food done right.

I tried this place last night with my family and friends. This place is so good! We tried the brisket fried rice, jungle fries, shrimp and garlic, the wings, chubee poppers, and the cheese burger egg roll. The staff here are super friendly and funny. The person who takes your order is very nice because he’ll help you recommend what people order the most. I am definitely coming back to this place. Thank you so much!

They stopped by my apartment complex. The smell wafting out of the truck was amazing! The service was so great! The guy I’m going to assume is the owner was super nice and explained everything. As soon as we saw the Jungle Fries and the Garlic Wings we knew we MUST have them. They were absolutely delicious! The wings were packed full of flavor, juicy, and had the perfect crunch! The Jungle Fries are addicting. The brisket was juicy and tender. Fries tasted like potato… I don’t know if that makes sense, but most bulk fries are tasteless. Not these. The sauces helped pull it all together. And the optional egg was the perfect way to top it off. The best part… the portions! Most trucks are $ 10+ for entrees and are tiny! Not these guys… you get your money’s worth!!! I will be back!!! Follow them on their social media accounts and find them… like ASAP. They are too good to pass up.

We followed this food truck last night to Bottle Logic Brewing in Anaheim. I had seen some pictures on Instagram of their Asian fusion dishes and they looked right up my alley ya dig. My man got the garlic fried shrimp rice and I got the brisket fried rice with an over-easy egg added. Both were really really good! The rice in both dishes were dry and chewy which is fantastic(I hate wet, soggy rice). I loved how the shrimp was cut butterfly style with the shell still on for flavor. Garlicky taste was on-point and very Southeast Asian. My fried rice was good too but I would have liked to see some more bits of brisket. The menu is currently kind of limited as I was talking to one of the guys working and he mentioned Chubbee Monkee is new to the game as a food truck. No worries man. I have a good feeling you guys will blow them all out of the water. An Asian spin on some American style dishes = food that is creative, good with alcohol, easy to love, not too filling. Looking forward to some new items on the menu and seeing you guys again soon!

First of all, Chubbee Monkee. How cute is the name? Their logo is super cute &reminds me of my fatass boyfriend.(We love to eat) We went to Bottle Logic to kill some time and saw their food truck. The guys outside were super friendly and gave us some samples of the brisket fried rice. Too bad we already had dinner plans because it was super yummy. I’d add some hot sauce to it though cause I like sriracha on almost everything. Had to ask about the Jungle Fries because I loveeeee French fries. After he described it, I knew I had to get it. Grabbed some beers inside and sent the boyfriend to get the fries. I guess they asked if we wanted pulled pork or brisket &he chose brisket. So glad he did. The brisket is so tender here. Hand cut fries, salsa verde, garlic sauce, topped with brisket! That garlic sauce is to die for! I could probably put that shit on everything(sorry Frank’s). Those fries are amazing with beer. Glad I got to try it &plan on trying the dessert or garlic shrimp next time!

They had someone standing outside taking the order and unique in a good way: customer service and explained the menu options. Took the order and they accept cards via Square. 1. Cheese burger egg rolls. Amazing. Juicy inside and crispy outside. Packs lots of flavor of exactly cheese burger and egg roll! Worth a try! 2. Smoked Brisket Fried Rice. Bits of brisket in Fried Rice and tastes really smoked and obviously the brisket was smoked! Serving enough for two people. You have the option to add an egg and do it! 3. Smoked Brisket Sandwich. My favorite. Perfect blend of flavors with the bread, lettuce, thick piece of brisket and sauce. Haven’t tried the shrimp and pork sandwich yet and those are next after my Brisket Sandwich!

I was a little curious when stepping up to the truck. Chubbee Monkee is an interesting name and it caught my attention. I decided to check it out. The menu had a good assortment of items from the most popular Brisket Fried Rice to Cheeseburger egg rolls. The Brisket Fried Rice was amazing! It had a great smokey flavor to it and it was just very flavorful! The cheeseburger egg rolls are a new twist to to an Asian delicacy and it was an interesting taste! Definitely a must try. The last thing I tried was the Garlic Shrimp over Garlic Fried Rice and that was just amazing. I’m a garlic lover and I absolutely loved this dish! And the most interesting part of my experience was that this was their first day! I was too surprised because they handled everything so well and the food was phenomenal! I would highly recommend trying out the Chubbee Monkee truck if you ever see them around OC!
