I worked for one of the largest garage door service companies in Ca. What I have learned is if they charge a service call stay away, It is a Rip Off. They use disseptive advertising come-ons and discounts to distrack you from the bottom line. They are normaly the higher priced companies because they have a very large overhead (Alot of Trucks/People/Advertising costs). I had enough of the quota that they imposed on all of the tech’s. When you get to your customers house: Check them out. How much do you think you can get from them? You MUST sell at least $ 325.00 of product no matter what. It does not matter if is broke or not. Just tell them that every time you get to your appointment. What ever it takes. Sell, Sell, Sell! These RIP-OFF companies are: America’s Choice/GDS/Precision. I left and started my own company with honest estimates with fair pricing.
