French Park Care Center

My family and I had a great experience with French Park Care Center prior to my father being admitted to the center for rehab. French Park’s representative took her time to visit my father at the hospital and shared all their services and answered all our questions. My father and most of my immediate family are primarily spanish speaking and they have a great bilingual team that was very help. Thank you for all the support and patience you provided to my father and family.

My mother stayed here before. They are one of the worst Nursing home in California. Look at the people who work there. My mom was abused and neglect. I have meeting after meeting with the nursing director and manager no one seems to help. They are not there ²⁴⁄₇ for your parent. My mother got bruises and scratches on her. Terrible bed sores that never went away. The staffs are too rude and never seems to care about your concerns. I wish there is a law to protect your elderly at the nursing home. May God protect your love one from the evil staffs. I have to say all the nursing home are pretty bad. We should have law that allows camera to catch these Devils that work there.

Do not I REPEAT DO NOT send your family here! This is the worst facility I have EVER been to!!! My mom who is dependent upon someone sat in her waste for hours! It got so bad she got sores! They do NOT do anything that they say in their tour, the lack of patient care is horrible, I am filing a report for patient abandonment with this facility along with elderly abuse. I do not wiSh this place on my worst enemy, in over two weeks these «nurses» did not know my moms name, her diagnosis, promised NUMEROUS changes to only come back hours, hours, not days, to find the same condition. I went to the charge nurse a RUDE filipino girl that blatantly ignored my questions cuz ahe was txtng, i pulled out my phone and took a picture for proof… whe she heard the click she then responded. The sales people in the tour lie… DO NOT SEND LOVED ONES HERE!

My mom was very independent until she went there for rehabilitation after a knee replacement surgery. Three days before her discharge, she fell at 4am and allegedly a report was taken stating that she didn’t have any physical pain, bones fractures, or noticeable injuries and that they were doing evaluations every 15min, 30min and every hour. My dad was there from 8am till 11am and no one came to evaluate her (they lied), in fact she complained to my dad, the cna and a physical therapist about back, neck and knee pain. In addition due to her knee replacement she was most of the time in pain, and that same day she had too much pain and was too weak to even attend therapy which was very un usual for her. By 2:30pm the same day, a private ambulance went to pick up my mom for the removal of her knee staples and that’s when they called 911 because she appeared confused and unable to speak (Thank god for the private EMT for noticing her condition.) She was rushed to the hospital where they discovered she had a acute subdural hematoma (brain bleeding) caused by the fall. Normally when patients fall, especially older people, x-​rays or ct scans are conducted to fully evaluate a person’s condition. However, this was never done, she was neglected. Due to the severe brain injury my mom went under brain surgery for a craniotomy to release the brain inflamation and swelling. After surgery, she was in a comatose for a month and now six weeks after she is just coming out of the coma slowly, they called it semi-​coma, thank god. But unfortunate she is still bed bound and has lost her independence. If you read this, DO NOT TAKE your love ones there, the staff there are incompetent. My mom’s severe brain injury could have been detected and treated much early with a medical trained and experienced staff, not 10 hours after. Sad Sad place…

My mom went there for rehab after a knee replacement operation, first, I hated that got to go to that place that had 2.5 stars in Unilocal,but let me say, that we have the best service that any patient can get in a rehab center, my mom can walk easily now, they have had her on a program schedule that was really efficient.
I left without saying thank you, but here is my thank you :)

The care level here was so bad that I moved my mom after a few days. 1) You wait an unreasonable amount of time for pain meds. If you ask for meds when the nurse is making her medication rounds she will make you wait until she gets to you, in order, like the patients are on an assembly line, instead of people in pain. 2) It was dangerous for mom to eat and the staff kept putting food and water in her reach. 3) After waiting 36 hours for one of moms prescriptions to be filled, which wasn’t, (to help with something that was painful!) my husband drove an hour to get her medicine from Kaiser. Her nurse knew that my husband was doing this and when he returned she was asked to administer the medication. She was eating taco bell at the nurse station and refused until her dinner break was over. I guess they figure that if someone is in pain for 36 hours another 30 minutes won’t make a difference.

Ding, ding, ding… you hear that? That’s what you’ll hear because you will wait to go to the bathroom if you’re a patient… or if you need water. Be prepared to wait up to 5 – 10 minutes…
