I have real course Asian hair that’s not easy to cut or style. Rico was able to hook me up with a tight fade and perfect trim on the top. Definitely go here. Ask for Rico.

I saw them from Unilocal with 4.5 stars reviews so I decided to make a stop cuz I was desperate for a nice haircut!
I called & some guys said there was no waiting so I came right away. Staffs were nice & I didn’t have to wait for long.
Gomez was my barber. He was really nice & really careful. Since I was a new customer, he always asked my opinions & showed me what’s he gonna do.
It came out GREAT & I really like it. Now I’m ready for my graduation tomorrow & get my picture taken at DMV tomorrow from renewing my DL.

My husband went to get a haircut and style. It took forever for a walk in but now I know why. Make sure you make an appointment. John did the best style on my husband. He looked like a different man! (Still cute) anyway thank you John and we will be back !! Oh and cash only!

Have gone to this spot twice so far.
For my cut, I got it from a guy named Mark. Chill dude, and he was very patient with me throughout the whole cut because my hair was difficult to deal with. He gave me a pretty good fade and he definitely catered to what I was looking for. The first time I came here he cut my hair so it’d have a base for a sort of slick back combed over look. The second time around he helped formed what I originally wanted for a while.
For the place itself, the venue is pretty sleek and gives a pretty chill vibe. Everyone is really nice. TV’s playing and the casual barbershop pole spinning. I like the black interior of the shop. Very urban and modern feel to it.
Overall the experience I’ve had has been good. However I put a 4 because the first time I came I actually made an appointment at 12 pm, took me another half hour to get a cut with just anyone. But I guess that’s both a good and bad thing if you look at it. That means they just have a lot of customers for their spot!

If you don’t have an appointment you’ll have to wait 2 3 hours they don’t have a system where barbers take care of waiting customers they all take appointments first

First time trying this place out. I asked for Rico as others have recommended. Fade and cut were excellent!!! Will be coming back.

He’s been cutting my hair for about a year. I’ve never had any issues: waiting too long or getting a bad fade. Also, he provides the best customer service — never been rude!
Rico’s hardworking & a talented barber!

I went yesterday & I was more than disappointed I was aggravated. I decided to take my three year old here because of the reviews I read. Also, because my son starts preschool next week. So I wanted my son to look fresh ass fuck. First of all my son’s haircut was all bad. I swear he would look at my son & the expression on the barber’s face was clueless like if he didn’t know how to cut hair. I was like WTF! To top it off he wasn’t giving my son his 100% customer service. My son is already annoyed because this barber was taking forever on his hair. Then he had the nerve to stop cutting his hair & starts talking to the barber next to him & to another client. I saw my son’s face & he look miserable. I wanted to drag the damn barber! Like WTF! I am paying for service & I expect him to treat my son as priority! Out of nowhere he decides to go waste time & wash his hands. Like HELLLOOOO! You should of done that at the beginning of the cut. -.- He took a damn hour to fuck up my son’s hair. Unbelievable!

I’ve taken my 5 & 7 yr old boys to several barbershops in OC and always left disappointed until I found good Fellaz. It is worth the drive from Irvine. I just want them to look a bit more edgy and get low maintenance hair cuts. Miguel is super patient with my boys. He does an immaculate job on their cuts, makes them feel important. Price is beyond reasonable but I always make an appointment to be sure I get Miguel.

I love coming to my weekly appointment with Rico since he hooks it up. I get a nice towel treatment (hot/​cold) and a single razor fade to finish it up. Likes how he finishes it up with after shave while blowing cold air from the blow dryer. Nothing but Wins here. I like how he is consistent. If you want a fade for others to envy come here, I actually get asked where I get my haircut often and how my fade is tight, no bullshit.

Good times at the Goodfellaz, so I read a few reviews before showing up to this place. My current barber at the time cancelled same day on me so I decided to venture out and search for a new home to get my fade at. I read about a barber name Rico here and decided to make an appointment with him since I hate waiting. I got there 2 mins late and waited for about 20mins to get my haircut. Once I sat down it felt like home, Rico was very polite and detailed about how I wanted my hair to be cut. After taking his time and wrapping my head with a hot towel after the fade, I knew I would be coming back. From the looks of everyone haircut the staff seems to be all talents!

The absolute WORST customer service that I’ve had from a barbershop in my life!
Summary: Business with a lot of image and hype that delivers an often mediocre cut, and upcharges for appointments but doesn’t keep them. You are on their time, they’ll get to you when they feel like it. Don’t like it? Go somewhere else.
I’ve been a customer for almost a year. During that time I’ve been bounced around to 3 different barbers. My first cut was with a guy named Erik. He was friendly, did a good job. At the end he thanked me for my business, gave me a card with his direct number on it, and told me to call him next time for an appointment so I wouldn’t have to wait.
Wait times can often be OVER an hour! I was more than willing to pay the $ 2 upcharge for an appointment. I don’t mind and I figured it was better than having to spend an hour sitting in those crappy, uncomfortable folding chairs. I made the appointment for 10am but when I arrived Erik was nowhere to be found and none of the staff seemed to know where or when he was coming in. So I sat there for ½ an hour to wait for another barber. This time I got a guy named Rico.
Once again Rico did a good job, was friendly, gave me his card, told me to make an appointment. The next time when I showed up for my appointment Rico bumped me, took another guy, and started cutting his hair. He didn’t even acknowledge my presence. I’m over six feet tall, not easy to miss. I asked to speak to a manager. The manager, who I found out is the owner, is a heavyset man with a shaved head and always seems to have a very stern look on his face. I told him that I was supposed to have an appointment. He confirmed that it was on the books. When he asked Rico about it, Rico just looked at it on the paper, shrugged it off, and walked away. OUCH! It was very clear that the other guy was a friend of Rico’s and that he was far more important than I was. The owner assigned me to another barber named Pedro, he said that he was good and would take care of me.
Pedro The Barber:
Pedro/​Pete did a good job on my cut, seemed to be better than the last 2 guys. He spent more time on my hair and did a good job at communicating with me to make sure I got the cut that I wanted. He even made suggestions on the type of hair gel I should use as the one I was currently using was not good for my hair. Once again, I got a card with a direct number, was thanked and told to «please call me for an appointment».
I made an appointment a few weeks later with Pete for 10am Friday morning. I was on time, Pete was 15 minutes late, no apology. The cut I got this time was bad. He cut my hair way too high, it looked awful. Over the next few weeks I used a hell of a lot of that gel to try to hide how bad it looked or often wore a cap.
After my bad cut had time to grow out I made another appointment with Pete. I figured maybe he had an off day or I did a poor job explaining what I wanted. When I called him he told me that they would be open on MLK Day but the shop did not open until 12 noon on Mondays. He asked me to text him to confirm the day /​time — which I did, and received a text reply from Pete.
When I arrived at noon for my appointment Pete was already cutting another guy’s hair. I was bumped again! I asked him if we still had an appointment. Pete actually seemed annoyed that I was asking. He told me that he was «running behind and that he would be with me in a second». How can you be behind if the shop opens at noon? I sat for nearly ½ hour waiting on Pete. I spoke to the owner again and told him how I felt mistreated because, once again, I had an appointment that was confirmed and how his guys consistently blow off appointments even though the customers are being charged for them. He couldn’t have cared less. His response was, «Well he’s almost done and you’ll be next». NO regard for my time! I desperately need a cut so I stayed.
Pete cut my hair. Did a good job this time. Did he apologize or make any mention of my time that he wasted? Of course not! At the end I still gave Pete my usual $ 7 tip. Why? Because I feel that he did do a good job and even though he clearly does not value me, my business, or my time I should reward him for his efforts.
However, I will NEVER return again. I don’t like being treated poorly. The cuts are usually good but NOT great — definitely not worth the high price, upcharges, and mistreatment.

If you’re going to get your haircut here, get it from Rico. Very professional yet laid back barber who takes his time and pays attention to the details. He always hooks me up whenever I’m in there and gives me the exact haircut I ask for.
The shop has a very clean and relaxed atmosphere as well.

I just moved to my new place so I need a new barber, Unilocal this place and read some review and found a fellow sneakerheads fam that cut a hair in here. #solefresh91 is his IG and you’ll find all the haircut he had done (including mine). If you want a quick and just OK job then don’t ask for «Rico» to cut your hair, this guy has talent and won’t let you walk out the door unhappy/​unsatisfied. He will make sure you walking out with a fresh haircut. 5 stars for Rico awesome job but 1 star for price and waiting time. (Make sure to make appointment in this place). My boyfriend is new to this area so he needed a barber shop. I told him the great reviews this place has. He decided to try it and it was a fail.
So we got to the shop and he didn’t have an appointment so we had to wait. The wait was not long at all. The vibe in the shop is great and the staff is nice.
The problem was with the barber! My boyfriend explained how he wanted the hair cut three times. The barber took two hours or so and yet he did not do it as planned. My boyfriend was upset because even after all the explaining he had done; yet, the barber still managed to do a crappy job. My bf said this was his worse hair cut ever! The barber that assisted him looked new and lost most of the time. Not coming back here!

This is definitely a barbershop you must check out! Especially with the new addition to the team, Rico! After cutting 3+ years at affiliated barbershop he has decided to make the move and it was a great choice. This new shop reflects his work. Smooth, clean and fresh! Ask for RICO you will not regret it.

I came here because the $ 5 Viet place that normally fades me up didn’t take their time on my last cut and had my hair looking janky. Good Fellaz had some great reviews so I thought I should try it out. All the parking is in the alley behind the shop.
It was about 6PM on a Friday when I came in and the place was pretty busy. I signed in and was told that there was about a 45 minute wait. The dude at the front was cool and offered me a beer. Their fridge is full of PBR and they have some Henny if you want a shot. The waiting area is large and can accommodate 30+ people. There was 8 barbers working that day and the wait time flew by. In the waiting area they have 3 TVs, a Playstation, and a bunch of magazines to look at.
Mark was my barber. He was a nice dude and took his time on my hair. I got a skin mid-​fade with a part on top and my cut lasted about an hour. Usually I would hate it if my cut lasted that long, but Mark was very personable and told some funny stories. I never really got to know any of my other barbers so this was a refreshing change. The cut came out super clean and I will be back in 2 — 3 weeks.
PS. Cuts are $ 18 for walk ins and $ 20 for appointments.
