MISLEADING GROUPON VOUCHER. They reel you and then charge you more on top of your coupon. I got there at 3:30, was told it would be 45 minutes. Twice i was told, your next and finally on the third time they took my car. One hour and 45 minutes later they were finished. They owner had to go so he asked me to pay up front. Terrible customer service. Will never go back! Would rather pay more elsewhere than return here.

Paid $ 40 for a smog check. Was in and out in thirty minutes (there was one car that was getting an oil change ahead of me). The owner, Ian, was very professional and polite, he even asked a customer that was listening to a video at full blast volume to turn it down since me and another customer were clearly getting annoyed. Just a smog check, but I couldn’t have asked for more.

I had my car break down when I was in the Santa Ana area. Luckily I was not too far from Greenlite Auto. I called them and asked if they were busy and if they could check out my car. They called a guy and had them tow it for me.
Ed checked out my car and fixed it up the same day. I told him I was a college student so he was honest and did not try to get every penny. Next time I am in the area with issues, I will be sure to go to Greenlite Auto. Ed is

DO NOT GO HERE! Ed is a cool guy with a humble approach but he has a fat bastard named Carlos who works there for him and he is a caniving fat thief! Don’t even think of using the penny saver coupon because I tried it and they do that to reel you in and try to make up problems on the spot to get more money out of. Carlos if you can read this, I’m going to buy you a gym pass and deodorant but I can’t buy you good ethics. Good luck Ed

Got a reasonable smog done here… Ed is a character for sure. I dont habla espagnol but I threw out a couple of phases and he warmed up. The only reason they are not getting 5 stars is because I always like to have protective mats or seatcovers used when my car is being serviced/​driven around because I have a light tan interior and these works in grease all day. Enough said.

Great service! Couple of weeks ago I got into an accident and rear-​ended a truck. Luckily, I heard great things of Greenlite so my friend persuaded me to tow the car there. Ed, the owner, situated me with a rental car because my car was going to take a week or so to repair. Aside from cosmetics, I was surprised as to how great of a job they did and how they fixed and replaced the radiator as well as a couple of other mechanical issues. They do everything, a really convenient one stop shop. The high rated reviews below truly do indicate how great of a job these guys do. See Ed! He’s the best.

After I was rear-​ended in rush hour traffic and finished enduring the horror of being in my car while it was doing a 360 degree spin on the 405, the first thought I had was thank god I’m alive. The second thing was who the hell is going to do the dirty work of fixing this two ton scrap of metal that use to be my car. Because of the overwhelming amount of body shops, I used a tip from a friend on where to go to have everything fixed and haven’t thought twice about the quality of service I received since.
The shop itself isn’t the most inviting, but after discussing the repair process and the car with Ed, the owner, I felt confident enough to leave everything in his hands. He made me feel better about the entire process from insurance claims to having something to drive while my car was being repaired. There were a few other issues I had with my car prior to the accident and Ed was very reasonable about taking care of all of it.
The final product was nothing short of a miracle given what they had to work with. I can’t recommend these guys enough.

I’ve been to my fair share of auto body shop and repair shops and I have to say Greenlite Auto is one of the best if not the best.
The service is actually really good and Ed, the owner, is a very nice guy. He understands the customers problems and he puts himself in their position. I have been here for a paint job and I have had smog checks done here many times. Ed is a very reasonable guy and he helps you out big time.
They are one of the cheapest places and they have great service. If your looking to fix your car this is where you need to be.

As with any small shop, multiple mechanics work all areas of the office. I went for a smog check and Ed gave me a price guarantee of $ 20 + certification fee w/​the coupon I had found from Pennysaver.
I came back to pick up my car and Carlos, the mechanic who actually worked on my car, asked me what price Ed had given me and said, «It was $ 60, right?»
The coupon that I had brought in earlier when I dropped off the vehicle was no longer on the desk either, but I insisted that Ed had given me that price which he ended up honoring.
Just be on your guard if Ed is not around when you stop in — I understand that mechanics are in the business to make money, but the point of finding an honest one is not only for one that will do a good repair but one that also isn’t trying to rip you off.
