Service not bad, little slow but I think is a night time. The food was a little salty but I guess every place is different, I would go back not for awhile though.

The food is pretty good. I only wish they changed their menu every now and then because I go about once a month or less and they ALWAYS have the same thing being served.

I am here right now! Ewwww finally got into a bathroom stall after having to wait for quite some time for someone to get out(if you know what I mean) the lady that gets out of one is wearing a red cooks jacket walks to the sink.(I’m watching through the stall because until I looked at her it looked like she was going to walk straight out the door) she pretends to wash her hands by turning the water on. She fixes her jacket, turns off the water(hands never went near the water) grabs a paper towel crinkles it up(not even using it on her hands) and walks out of the bathroom. GROSS!!! The food here was disgusting too! All bland and tasted like paper. This place used to be so good after they remodeled but it has fallen far. My husband and I go here a lot too. After today we will never go here again!!! Disgusting on all levels!

There are times when I wish I could give a zero star review, this is one of those times. First off, we were charged dinner prices at noon! Second and most importantly, the food is just atrocious. Our family has visited many Home town buffets. This is THEWORST! It’s dirty, the food sucks and it’s straight up a dump. You’ve been warned.

My family came on a Sunday afternoon for the first time. First off the place was filthy and unsanitary. Food was half stocked and was very unappealing. Food looked as if it had been out all day. Salad Barr wasn’t fresh. I wish I could say eating the food was any different but it was absolutely the Worst meal I’ve ever eaten. The reason for my review is to save another family from experiencing a horrible meal and save there money for some place better. My family threw away $ 61.00 on this place for the last time ever

Low price is a plus. Often times, the food was excellent. Sometimes, I did not even want to take a second bite of some dishes. But service is always good. Do not come expect a fancy dinner. It’s a casual and low-priced buffet.

We came here on a Friday night and enjoyed our dining experience. The cashier to place our order was friendly and quick. It’s approximately $ 15 pp for dinner and a drink — pretty good deal. They also have coupons if you sign up for their emails. This restaurant has been completely remodeled with much better food selections. It’s very bright and employees are making sure everything is clean and organized. You can also see the restaurant manager pitching in and helping out. There’s a Mexican food section, salad bar, meat station, baked/fried chicken, baked potato bar, soups, mac & cheese, baked beans, green beans, corn, chicken tenders, three types of gravy, grilled fish, fried fish sticks. .. it’s a great selection. The dessert selection is pretty great, too — apple pie, cheesecakes, chocolate pie, carrot cake, vanilla or chocolate soft serve machine with all the toppings. I asked one of the cooks if they were going to bring out fried chicken drum sticks. 13 minutes later, he brought out 6 golden, crispy, fresh, hot drum sticks that were deep fried for me. Very customer focused and I appreciate this gesture. There’s also a great variety of beverages: sodas, juices, Icee machine. For a buffet, this restaurant is very affordable, clean, has a great selection and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend, will definitely return and am happy with the updates, changes to this restaurant.

We took a road trip to GC in bellflower to only see the line was out the door. Starving and wanting an all you can eat we decided to come here and try it out. Coming in was a very nice greeting from the cashier asking us how we were doing. I felt very welcomed and at home. After paying and enter the dinning room my eyes just awed with so much relief. Starving I go directly to the plates and try the ham Mac n cheese & mash potatoes. The Ham tasted like it was made 10 minuets before entering. Everything about this place was great I defiantly recommend people to come in and try! I will defiantly come back soon!

If I had an iPhone I’d probably take a few discrete pictures because some of OC’s Restaurants do an unbelievably good job. The food’s fresh, DELICIOUS, the people are Outstanding, the atmosphere’s inviting, everything is Clean and the price is very fair. LOVE Hometown Buffet since I went to the one in Hawthorne decades ago. I don’t eat a lot at one time, not at ALL — and it is a buffet style with an amazing variety of choices to sample from. I’m one of those people who is full after a small plate of samples. Otherwise I would go there ATLEAST once a week.

I mean it’s a family buffet so you can’t really expect much if you decide to go there. However, there is endless trips for food drink and dessert so that’s a plus. I recommend to try the salad bar though! It can be on the pricier side since they are now charging for beverages too so if you are going with the family be prepared for your wallet to take a hit. Other then that it’s pretty nice for a buffet chain.

This is by far the best location I’ve seen. A lot cleaner and the food is a bit better too. I always see management and other employees cleaning around .! The four stars is because I’ve been coming here for years and today the mc&cheese was a disappointment. It usually is nice and gooey and today was really dry. I mentioned it to the server and she said that they might have changed the sauce. All in all good but come on is mc&cheese how can you mess that up.

My mom loves this place, personally I like Denny’s for breakfast better but here is my 2cents I have tried 3 hometown locations and this one is better the food is ok, deserts are great overall not my choice but great people the cashiers and servers and even management are attentive. The cashier was super friendly when I pulled out my coupon book and other places are not like that so that’s a plus

Not at all worth the money, and we even had a coupon. I felt like I was at a school lunch. The desserts were the only decent thing about this place. Even at that, the topping for the ice cream were boring, and the area around them was disgusting. The rest of the food is incredibly underwhelming. There was also more time than one that I picked up a plate that was dirty with stuck on food. This was the first HomeTown Buffet I had ever been to, so I’m not sure if what I encountered was normal or not, but I will not be returning to this location.

I used to really like Hometown. Maybe it was just this location, but everything seemed off and the selection was awful. Best thing about this location is the desserts and even those were quite lacking. I would not come back to this Hometown.

This place has a terrible selection of food, and not prepared well at that. Would not ever go back or recommend it to anyone.

My club meets here once a month for good food, fellowship, and a bit of club business. The food is awesome at an affordable price. Everyone can pick their favorite kind of food. I usually go to the taco bar. Sometimes they have enchiladas, which are delicious. Last time they had tamales. I had one and it was very tasty and not too spicy. Sometimes I get the potroast and meatloaf. Both are about as good as grandma used to make. The soft serve ice cream is delicious. They have lots of toppings. Fresh baked cookies and other desserts, too. A shout out to the manager, who is very friendly and attentive to our needs. All the staff is friendly, and the service is terrific.

Gotta go 4 ½ stars. Every Thursday from 5−8pm kids are $ 1.99, drink included. A dollar ninety-nine! I will be returning often on Thursdays. Kids love this place and the food is not that bad. Plus it’s all you can eat! Adult dinner w no drink is $ 12.19. Me and the kiddo(11 yrs) eat for $ 15.31 My only complaint is that the water does not taste good. Bring your own bottled water and the place is solid for the price.

All was going well at this place until a reservation of about 30 – 40 people showed up. It suprised me that the management doesn’t have seperate food carts for people with a reservation. These people came to the main dining hall in packs like wild hyenas and literally took 90% of the food. Think back a few years ago when the tsunami hit Japan and took everything out… That it is what happened here. I got up several times to get more food only to see a bunch of empty food trays. Anyway, their roast beef had way to much blood on it, I’m not the Red Cross jeez. Honestly, it needed to be cooked a lot more, I threw that piece away anyway. Two stars because I was able to navigate my way to the Orange Chicken, which was good.

We thought a buffet was the best bet for 10 people. 6 hungry kids and an endless supply of ice cream — they were in heaven. The food: Steak: looked a little tough Roast carving station: good Coconut cake: yummy Iced cinnamon rolls: a hit Mashed potatoes: good Roasted chicken: good Fish: dry Steamed carrots: need more steaming Baked yam: yuck Tacos: son hated them Cheesecake: flavorless Rice crispy treats: leave them for the kids Soft serve ice cream: a hit but they didn’t refill the toppings Sweetened iced tea: lovely, even without ice The Service: awesome! Ambience: it’s a buffet with noisy children.
