My wife and I have been clients of Kosmet for 12 years now. And up until today, have never had an issue. Today, they decided to throw a 12 year business relationship to the curb because they opted not to take back a defective steamer that we purchased less than 30 days ago. A similar experience to Hollie, who wrote a similar review here in 2013, we also believe that Kosmet does not stand behind their products. They would not accept back the machine as defective. Instead he blamed the malfunction on my wife and said that she must have left the steamer on without water in it, and pointed out the discoloration of the coil. My wife, as well as every working esthetician out there knows that those coils become discolored when you use them. She found the exact same unit in their show room with the exact same discoloration, and pointed it out to him. He said that it was a demo /​floor model that people use all the time. And, it got discolored. Unbelievable. He ended up refusing to replace the unit, and replaced a part instead. After the part was replaced, it worked again. But, there’s obviously something wrong with the unit. We don’t want a broken steamer with a bandaid. We want a replacement. We only bought it 25 days ago. We live over an hour from Kosmet. So, if this goes bad again, we’ll have to drive all the way back there. And, by the time it malfunctions again, it will be out of the 30 day window. The only way he will accept a return for a new machine is with a 20% restocking fee. What business in the world won’t accept back a brand new malfunctioning machine within 30 days without a restocking fee? Within that time frame, there should be no questions asked. On top of which, this isn’t the $ 200 machine that Hollie G. has. This is the $ 500 industrial machine. When you spend that much money on a product, it better damn well be backed up with a 30 day warranty. Needless to say, we are extremely unhappy with Kosmet. I can’t believe they would be willing to throw away a 12 year relationship over a faulty product.

Extreme happiness with this company highly recommend it to all spas. I just purchased a whole new room. Everything they recommended is perfect! Very wonderful staff to deal with and the owner truly is a class act who knows how to do business.

He has always advised us on the best equipment for our needs, from facial steamers to facial beds or hot-cabi’s. His prices are always competitive and the quality has always been excellent.
We recently needed some equipment in a rush and he was so accommodating.

I have been a customer of kosmet since 2007. I would like to say first on a positive note, that my experience with Cort in customer service has been exceptional. He is very nice upbeat and accommodating. For online supplies, they have a good selection and shipping is fast. The negative– I highly recommend that you do NOT purchase any equipment. They do not stand behind their products. When I had my steamer switch break, I was made to feel as if it was my fault. The owner was pretty rude and regardless of the thousands of dollars I have spent, it seemed to not matter to him. He’d rather loose a client than to fix a simple problem. I called in to add another product to an existing order before picking it up, and he told me I could not do that once a order was already placed? Who would refuse a profit? I certainly would never turn away business on a client purchase.
