Tried the gordita, tacos alpastor, and elote! Over all food was great! I highly recommended if your in the mood for traditional Mexican tacos The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is 1– because my alpastor tacos had more onion then meat &2-I have tried better alpastor tacos(alpastor trompo tacos) with a little pineapple yumm! Lol anyways I will for sure will come back to try new things! If your around the area try this place out!

Food truck done right Mexican street corn done 2 ways. Traditional it’s boiled on a cob or in a cup & dressed with butter, mayo, lemon, chile, grated dry cheese & you can choose to omit any of the ingredients. The other way the offer the corn is roasted gives it another layer of flavor. They also order tacos & various of other Mexican foods. I tried the muelita a quesadilla with carne asada $ 5.50 delicious! Seating is limited on the sidewalk with foldable chairs but that didn’t bother me at all. :) corn is $ 2.50– $ 3.50

The corn was dried out and the home made tortillas were gummy. I did get there right at closing however. I will definitely give them another shot. The meat was very good.

I love their tacos!!! The tortilla is handmade, and soft. My favorite tacos are the chicharron(fried pork skin) because they are so crunchy and full of flavor. I’ve also had their chicken, asada and al pastor which are also highly recommended. Their esquite cocido is another recommendation of mine! Super delicious with the added mayo, cheese and chili powder.

I had higher expectations of this place because of the high reviews I saw on here. Place is fine but not great. I ordered some al pastor tacos but were too greasy for me. The corn was average but the quesadilla was good. I’ve been to other taco trucks and have had better but have had worse also. I will return and try again in the future

What is good? Elotes fam, elotes! Nothing beats elotes which is corn with that extra extra ingredients you know what I mean. That bomb tasting chili, some cheese sprinkles, and that mayo. When it comes to elotes the more hood it is the better because ain’t nobody do it like the G’z do. I was hanging with my friends and we were all craving some corn. My friend Airwrecka(kekeke lets hope she don’t see this review) suggested this truck. I checked Unilocal, hadn’t review yet so I said lets roll. The truck is surprisingly really nice and clean. The food is delicious as ever. Actually its even better than the corn man that I see often. What makes an elote delicious is that the corn has to be fresh and juicy. Lets just say 7 stars here for that. We all rolled through and ended up just hanging there and eating some delicious corn. It was so nice I had one for the road and spilled all over my friend’s whip. My bad, I won’t clean it up though lol… Service is nice and friendly. The corn is amazing. Its cash only so be sure to have some before you decide to go here. Luckily I found some in my pocket, woohoo! Needless to say I shall be frequenting this truck very often. I like how its a food truck instead of just the local guy. Its a nice change of scenery. I always, in the back of my mind, get nervous on if its truly clean or not. My mind is more at ease now with this truck. PS aside from elotes they also have other items too

Itchywawa mamacita!!! INHONOROFTACOWEDNESDAY!!! 100th F’ing review Decided to try this food truck out on the corner of Main and Chestnut. Lots of Unilocalers gave this place a raving review, so like they say — When in Rome, do what the Romans do and that’s exactly what we did. Elote is a must! Got the cup and the Cobb, cup is cleaner to eat. But, the Cobb way better tasting. Everything is good here, but I like the shrimp and beef cheek tacos the best. Come strapped… with cash I mean, since it’s a cash only location. Make sure you ask that Tony sent you. As the will have no *&@!$? idea who the hell that is.

YES, THEKINGSOFCORN&RIGHTLYNAMED! I will willingly drive to this truck located at a random intersection in Santa Ana for elote. This is now my favorite food truck in the OC/LA area because I am absolutely obsessed with elote right now and everything else I had on the menu was delicious. #1 corn cocktail — this is a wet version of $ 3 with lots of sauce that I sipped on after all the corn was gone. Sweet from the corn, savory, spicy, sour, creamy from the cheese. Delicious. Huitlacoche Quesadilla — I had to try this and I am glad I did! The cheese and the huitlacoche go well together and they add some spice with jalapenos and onion. Huitlacoche is almost like a mushroom taste(very light) and has the same texture as the cheese. Al Pastor torta — My boyfriend loved this and it was a good amount of food. Lengua Taco — Of course, also had to get a taco. The lengua was cooked perfectly and almost melt in your mouth. Will get this again! All the food was packaged to-go beautifully and they also give you radish and limes. Closed on Thursday, cash onlys, and there is limited seating outside the food truck. Sometimes they are not there because they have a catering event, so if you don’t see them, just give the number a call! 10⁄10 would recommend!

Los Reyes Del Elote means The Kings of the Corn. They truly live up to the name. I ordered the Elote Cocido. How can you go wrong with freshly boiled corn covered in mayo, chile powder and limon. For $ 2 it’s a steal and I’ll definitely be hitting this place up whenever im in the OC.

First time at a taco truck 30 minute wait but worth the while! Oder the esquite asado it’s way better than the boiled one.

For being the«kings of corn» I was surprised to find that the corn is what I liked least. We tried the Esquite cocido which was much too liquidy, and Esquite asada, which was dry and the corn was overlooked and chewy. But– the tacos!!! O. M. G. The tacos!!! I tried the chicken and carne asada, and the meats were perfectly seasoned, the salsas were spicy and delicious, and the fresh, homemade tortillas were thick, soft, and amazing. Hubby had a huitlacoche quesadilla and said it was excellent as well.

I always take my friends here and each time we are delighted with our purchases of corn(elote) it’s my favorite place when it comes to street/food truck, the Elotes are just so juicy and fresh, I love that corn can be eaten this way. Definitely reccommend getting elote on a stick but whether it’s on a stick or in a cup… It’s still freaking good

Stopped by for taco Tuesday and had the famous elote, tacos and a quesadilla. With the rave reviews, I was super excited to try their food. Our order took a while, but understandable since there’s only two people working on the truck. I had the #3 elote which is chargrilled corn with all the mixings. The corn was a little too burnt, which made it kind of hard. For our tacos, I had carne asada and pastor. The asada was pretty good and the pastor was just okay. The tortillas are handmade but they’re really thick which makes you full. I also had their quesadilla with asada, and it was pretty big. It was good but not amazing.

CORNMAN, CORNMAN, CORNMAN, THEMBOYSUPTOSOMETHING! I JUSTSPENT $ 3DOLLASON A ELOTELIKEITSNOTHING! Hahaha. These elotes() are. You can get it in a cup or on the stick. I don’t like it in the cup its too watery for me. I like it corn on the cob. Thats the memories I have of me running after the corn man on Acacia Blvd in Garden Grove when I was a kid. This place has corn either charbroiled asado or steamed. I mix it up sometimes and will go for whatever I feel on that day. The al pastor tacos are bomb too. But I come here for the corn. Corn man you one of my true heroes in this corrupted evil world.

Best Mole tacos in town with amazing esquite elotes. Hands down the BEST huiltecoche quesadillas. Love the nopales. I’m a total sucker for homemade tortillas and homemade picante. I’ve had everything by now 10,000 times and it’s always outstanding. *only cash *take out only order upon arrival * closed Thursday’s *chairs and 2 tables are provided but most eat in car or standing. I have found out that customer service is variable. Their English is not strong so I’ve had to be patient. Naturally I’m bilingüal so I only speak to them in Spanish. However I’ve seen English speakers struggle or maybe it’s a culture thing I’m not sure. Please be specific as they are not dumb but sometimes they do not get it. Especially for take out. I only recommend to order upon arrival otherwise you may run the risk for deception. The other is i would only recommend lunch and dinner. They struggle to be ready early in the morning as they need to set up. I wish I could give a 5 star but due to the variable service I need to be honest. The quality of the food is a 5 star especially the 2 top items I mentioned earlier. I’ve seen a diverse crowd of ppl coming into Santa Ana including cops and firemen/woman officers . So you know the old saying«if you see officers eating the food, then you know it’s good!!» How ever I do recommend to swing by and be patient and give them a try. The food is pure soul food especially my personal favorite the quesadilla de huiltecoche with Oaxaca cheese. Just melts in your mouth!

We were leaving Anaheim and couldn’t find a corn stand, so I went on my trusty Unilocal app and found this food truck five miles away in Santa Ana. Google Maps brought me right to it. We were able to get street parking and wandered over. The people inside were very friendly. We ordered the corn on the con and corn in a cup. It took a few minutes before it was ready, but very much worth the wait. I’m not a big Mexican food fan but this I liked very much. The corn is topped with mayo, chile pepper, chile sauce and something else white in color. All I can say is NOMS. Although I have nothing to compare this too, it was very tasty. The truck also offers other dishes such as a wide variety of tacos, burritos, quesadillas and other plates that I do not recognize. We had just come from the swap meet and sadly did not have room to try anything else here. We will come back here if we have another corn craving and maybe have some tacos.

This is the spot for authentic Mexican food, specifically tacos. $ 1.50 to $ 2 a taco. Taco Menu: Asada(beef) Al Pastor(marinated pork) Chorizo(mexican sausage) Pollo(chicken) Tripas(beef tripe) Chicharron(fried pork skin) Cabeza(beef cheeks) Lengua(beef tongue) Cecina(marinated beef) Camaron(shrimp) Jamon(ham) All tortillas are made fresh from scratch right on the truck. You can taste the cornmeal when you bite into your warm tortilla. Speaking of corn, they have elote and esquite! For $ 3 you can get an authentic corn on the cob with cotija cheese, mayo, chilis, all that! It’s so good! Last time here I got one elote #1, asada taco, al pastor, and cecina. The elote was so juicy and satisfying to bite into. The three tacos were all different in their spices and presentation. And they were all EXCELLENT. Not too salty, extremely flavorful, fresh, hot and $ 5.(not including the elote). If you received these on a metal taco rack in an upscale restaurant, you’d be satisfied paying a premium price. They sell cans of soda here in addition to real Mexican coke bottles. The ice cold coke in the bottle is the perfect compliment. I want to see if they serve horchata next time. I didn’t see a sign on the truck but maybe it’s something they keep special on the down low. As far as seating goes, they have a few white folding chairs set up along with a few tables to eat on. Most people i’ve seen take their food and either walk with it or eat in the car. The curb works too. That’s right, they’re worth curbside seating. Cash only. Parking is easy. There are a few lots on this block as well as street parking. I adore this place. I adore it so much i’m going to get my taco fix again this week. It’s really a gem and I love supporting mom and pop businesses. You can tell the two working the truck really take pride in their food and appreciate your business. A gem in Santa Ana.

This random food truck parked on the corner of Main and Chestnut was a hidden little gem my coworker brought me to on our lunch break. Upon asking what meat I should order I was given 120394801 different answers from everyone in the car. Thats a good sign. Los Reyes Del Elote is run by a Husband and Wife team who brings their kitchen to the masses. Its Mexican food at its purist. From my previous visits I have yet to choose a favorite meat. Be it Chorizo, Cabeza, Lengua, Beef Tongue, Marninated Beef, Pastor, or Chicharron, I’ve come to learn that there is no wrong choice. Well seasoned and never overcooked, each protein has its own unique flavor and texture to help differentiate the selection. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said about some restaurants in the area. What elevates these tacos are the homemade tortillas. These soft and fluffy tortillas are unlike anything I’ve had at any other Mexican establishment. You owe it to yourself to try it out. With a range of $ 1.50 to $ 2 per taco, these prices are better than some Taco Tuesday deals. From delicious flavor, expansive menu options, and a low price point, Los Reyes Del Elote proves that nothing beats homemade food.

The elote here is pretty good and they have a lot of variety. Also noting beats homemade tortillas too. The first time I was here I had the elote number #1 which I was boiled but there was basically a swimming pool of liquid in my cup. I like the charbroiled better or I would pick to eat it on a cob. I tried the al pastor mulitas before but they don’t put much meat and I felt like theres too much tortilla going on. I love their tacos the chicharron and tripas is very well seasoned and good. Chicharron here is actually crispy so good. Make sure to ask for your tripas to be extra crispy. The only thing is there not open very late so make sure to check the time when their closed.
